## Pricing

from $1.50 / 1,000 job scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Upwork Job Scraper — Live Jobs, No Login, Filters & Opportunity Scoring

> **Service availability — 11 October 2026:** Job collection is under maintenance. The upstream source currently denies access, so live runs may fail without returning jobs. A failed run does not mean there are no matching vacancies. No job-result fee applies when no jobs are delivered; the run-start fee and consumed platform/proxy resources can still apply. Use `RUN_SUMMARY` to distinguish an access failure from an empty search. Reliable live job collection has not yet been restored.

![Upwork Job Scraper](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/E76hLVOROveornuAY/records/upwork-hero.jpg)

**Scrape public Upwork jobs in real time — no login, no account, no cookies.**
Search by keyword, filter by job type, budget, experience and skills, and get an
AI-free **opportunity score**, urgency / complexity signals, and an incremental
**"only new jobs since last run"** mode for clean scheduled feeds.

> *Also known as: Upwork scraper, Upwork jobs API, freelance jobs scraper,
> Upwork job feed, gig listings scraper.*

### ✨ Why this one

- **Truly keyless** — pulls public Upwork job listings with no login, no account
pool and no cookies to manage. Access depends on Upwork availability and IP reputation.
- **Real-time** — fresh jobs on every run, straight from Upwork's live job feed
(the source count changes over time).
- **Filters that matter** — keyword, job type (hourly/fixed), experience level,
  minimum budget, required skills, urgency.
- **Opportunity scoring (AI-free)** — every job gets a 0-100 `opportunityScore`,
  a `budgetTier`, a `complexity` grade and `isUrgent` / `isLongTerm` flags so you
  triage the best jobs instantly.
- **Incremental mode** — `onlyNewJobs` remembers what you've seen and returns
only jobs new since your last run. Perfect for a scheduled "fresh jobs" feed.
- **Pay per result** — only delivered jobs are billed; `maxResults` caps delivered rows; `maxCostUsd` conservatively estimates job event charges. Proxy and platform usage are additional.

### 📦 Output (per job)

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `title` / `description` | Job title and full description |
| `jobUrl` / `jobId` | Direct Upwork job link + stable id |
| `jobType` | `hourly` or `fixed` |
| `hourlyBudgetMin` / `hourlyBudgetMax` / `fixedBudget` | Budget |
| `budgetValue` / `budgetTier` | Normalised budget + tier (micro→enterprise) |
| `experienceLevel` | Entry / Intermediate / Expert |
| `skills` | Required skills |
| `durationWeeks` | Engagement length when given |
| `postedAt` / `createdAt` | Timestamps |
| `opportunityScore` (0-100) | Well-paid + well-specified + higher-tier = higher |
| `complexity` | low / medium / high |
| `isUrgent` / `isLongTerm` | Intent signals from the text |

### ⚙️ Key inputs

`searchQuery` · `sort` (recency/relevance) · `jobType` · `experienceLevel` ·
`minBudget` · `requiredSkills` · `urgentOnly` · `minOpportunityScore` ·
`onlyNewJobs` · `flatOutput` · `maxResults` · `maxCostUsd`.

### 💡 Use cases

- **Freelancers / agencies** — a live, filtered feed of relevant jobs, scored so
you bid on the best ones first.
- **Lead generation** — monitor a niche (e.g. "shopify", "react") for new jobs.
- **Market research** — budget distribution, demand by skill, hourly vs fixed mix.
- **Automation** — schedule with `onlyNewJobs` and pipe fresh jobs into n8n /
  Zapier / Slack.

### ⚖️ Notes

Returns only publicly available Upwork job-listing data (the same data shown to
logged-out visitors). When enabled, public job pages add client spend, hires, hours, payment verification,
rating, membership date, location and proposal/activity counts. Private, blocked
or unavailable pages keep their search record with `clientDetailsStatus` and
unknown client fields. We do not expose client names, hidden contracts or private
account data. Not
affiliated with Upwork. Use in line with Upwork's terms and applicable laws.

### First run and client qualification

Start with 5 jobs and enable `includeClientDetails`. Review the **Clients and
competition** dataset view. `clientDetailsStatus: public` means the public page
was read; it is not a guarantee of client reliability. `clientCheckedAt` records
the observation date. Zero values and unknown values are distinct.

```json
{"searchQuery":"python", "maxResults":5, "includeClientDetails":true, "maxClientLookups":20}
```

`clientPaymentVerifiedOnly`, `minClientSpend` and `maxProposals` enable client
lookups automatically and reject unknown values. `maxClientLookups` bounds page
requests, including filtered and unavailable jobs, and can shorten the output.
Proxy and platform resources are paid separately; no additional client-detail
event is charged. Current job rates are FREE $2/1K and all paid tiers $1.50/1K,
plus a $0.00005 start event.
The Apify Pricing tab is authoritative. `maxCostUsd` uses the highest job event
rate and a start allowance; it excludes proxy/platform resources.

Only job rows enter the dataset. `RUN_SUMMARY` in the run key-value store reports
source errors, limits, scanned pages and delivered jobs. For incremental feeds,
reuse `incrementalStoreName`; different feeds can use different store names.

### n8n and developer integrations

Use this Actor in your automation or application with the existing community integrations below. An Apify account and API token are required; Actor and platform charges follow the [current pricing](https://apify.com/apivault_labs/upwork-job-scraper/pricing).

- **n8n community node:** [n8n-nodes-apivault-upwork](https://www.npmjs.com/package/n8n-nodes-apivault-upwork). Install package name `n8n-nodes-apivault-upwork` in a self-hosted n8n instance that permits community packages.

These are community packages. Publication on npm does not establish n8n verification or availability in n8n Cloud. Review the linked package README for supported inputs and setup.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Keyword / phrase to search Upwork jobs for, e.g. "python developer", "logo design", "shopify". Leave empty to pull the latest jobs across all categories.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Order of jobs returned.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on how many jobs to return (and be charged for). Upwork paginates up to ~5000.

## `maxCostUsd` (type: `number`):

Conservative cap on job event charges using the highest published job rate and a start allowance. Proxy and platform resources are additional; use the Apify run charge limit for event enforcement.

## `jobType` (type: `string`):

Keep only hourly or only fixed-price jobs.

## `experienceLevel` (type: `string`):

Keep only jobs at this experience level.

## `minBudget` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs whose budget (fixed price, or max hourly rate) is at least this. Empty = no minimum.

## `requiredSkills` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs that list at least one of these skills, e.g. \["React", "Django"].

## `urgentOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs whose title/description signals urgency (urgent, asap, deadline…).

## `minOpportunityScore` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs scoring at or above this (well-paid, well-specified, higher-tier jobs score higher). 0 = no filter.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remember jobs seen in previous runs and return only jobs that are new since then. Run on a schedule to get a clean feed of fresh jobs with no repeats.

## `flatOutput` (type: `boolean`):

Flatten list fields (skills) into single comma-joined columns for easy CSV / Sheets mapping.

## `includeClientDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch each selected public job page for visible client spend, hires, payment status and proposal activity. Private or blocked pages keep search data and an explicit status. Adds proxy usage.

## `maxClientLookups` (type: `integer`):

Bounds additional page requests, including unavailable pages and rows rejected by client filters. The run can return fewer jobs when this limit is reached.

## `clientPaymentVerifiedOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Requires a public client page showing payment verification. Unknown or unavailable values do not pass.

## `minClientSpend` (type: `number`):

Minimum lifetime spend exposed in the public client panel. Unknown amounts do not pass. Enables client page lookups.

## `maxProposals` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs with an exposed proposal count at or below this value. Unknown values do not pass. Enables client page lookups.

## `incrementalStoreName` (type: `string`):

Persistent store owned by your account for onlyNewJobs. Use separate names for separate feeds; keep the same name between runs.
