## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Fast Full-Page Screenshot — pay only for successful shots

Capture full-page screenshots of any public URL, fast and cheap.

- **You pay only for screenshots that worked.** Failed or blocked pages are listed in the `FAILURES` record and are never charged. If every URL fails, the run fails loudly with the reason.
- **True full page.** It scrolls the page first so lazy-loaded images appear, then captures the whole page. A height cap (default 20,000 px) stops infinite-scroll pages from hanging the run.
- **Emoji and CJK fonts included**, so text renders instead of showing as boxes.
- **Duplicates removed**, per-page and hard timeouts, hard `maxUrls` cap, parallel pages.

### Use cases

- **Visual archiving and compliance:** capture proof of how pages (ads, pricing, terms) looked on a given date.
- **Competitor monitoring:** schedule daily screenshots of competitor homepages and pricing pages.
- **QA and agency reporting:** screenshot every page of a site after a release or for a client report.
- **AI agents:** give an LLM agent a visual of any page via the Apify MCP server.

### Try it free in 1 click

The input form is **prefilled with a small, working example**. Press **Start** without changing anything: the run takes 2 full-page screenshots (apify.com and a Wikipedia article). Our test run of exactly this input finished in about 29 seconds with 2 results. At list price that is about $0.00, which fits inside the free monthly credit of Apify's free plan. Then swap in your own values.

Prefilled input:

```json
{
  "urls": [
    "https://apify.com",
    "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_scraping"
  ]
}
```

### Sample output

Real rows from the prefilled run on 2026-10-14 (2 of 2 results shown; long fields trimmed). Download the full dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

  "capturedAt": "2026-10-12T17:46:51.286Z"
}
```
### Pricing
Pay per successful screenshot. Failures and duplicates are free.
### Use it as an MCP tool (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, any AI agent)
This Actor works as a tool in the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com), so an AI agent can call it directly and you pay per result, the same as a normal run. Add this server URL to any MCP client:
```
https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=appetizing_horsefly/fast-full-page-screenshot
```
Sign in with your Apify account (or pass your Apify API token as a Bearer header). The agent reads the input fields above from the Actor's input schema. Example request to the agent: "Take full-page screenshots of these 5 landing pages and give me the image links."
# Actor input Schema
## `urls` (type: `array`):
Pages to capture. Duplicates are removed before running.
## `fullPage` (type: `boolean`):
Capture the whole scrollable page (lazy content is scrolled into view first).
## `width` (type: `integer`):
Browser viewport width in pixels, for example 1280 for desktop or 390 for a phone.
## `height` (type: `integer`):
Browser viewport height in pixels. With full-page capture on, the image still covers the whole page.
## `format` (type: `string`):
Image format of the screenshot: png (lossless) or jpeg (smaller files).
## `jpegQuality` (type: `integer`):
JPEG quality from 1 to 100. Used only when format is jpeg.
## `delayMs` (type: `integer`):
Extra wait after load (ms).
## `maxHeightPx` (type: `integer`):
Very long pages are clipped to this height so a runaway infinite-scroll page can't hang the run.
## `pageTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):
Seconds to wait for each page to load before it is reported as failed (failed pages are not charged).
## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many pages to load in parallel. Higher is faster but uses more memory.
## `maxUrls` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many URLs. 0 = no cap.
