## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## UCC Filings Scraper – New UCC-1 Liens from Colorado, Connecticut & Oregon

### What is UCC Filings Scraper?

UCC Filings Scraper pulls **new UCC-1 financing statements** from the official Secretary of State open-data portals of Colorado, Connecticut and Oregon and returns them as one clean, normalized dataset. No login, no CAPTCHA, no browser. It is built for **MCA funders and ISOs, equipment lenders, factoring companies, commercial loan brokers and B2B sales teams** who want businesses that just took on financing.

### What data can I extract?

`state`, `fileNumber`, `filingType`, `transactionType`, `filingDate`, `lapseDate`, `status`, `debtorName`, `debtorCity`, `debtorState`, full `debtors[]` (name, business flag, address, city, state, zip), `securedPartyName`, full `securedParties[]` with addresses, `collateral` (CO) and `sourceUrl`.

### How much does it cost to scrape UCC filings?

Pay per result: **$0.004 per filing** ($4 per 1,000), no monthly rental and no start fee. The 20-filing prefilled run costs about $0.08, well inside Apify's free monthly credit.

### Why use it

- **Fresh leads:** filter by a *new since* date and pull only the filings made since your last run.
- **Normalized output:** one record per filing with a consistent schema across states. You don't need to learn each state's field names.
- **Business debtors only (default):** individual or consumer debtors are excluded.
- **Lender intelligence:** see which lenders are funding which businesses, and filter by secured party name (for example "capital" or "funding") to track competitor MCA activity.
- **Collateral text** (Colorado): find equipment financings such as forklifts, trucks or medical equipment.
- **No login and no CAPTCHA:** the data comes from the states' own public open-data APIs (data.colorado.gov, data.ct.gov, data.oregon.gov).

### Use cases

1. **MCA lead generation:** businesses with a recent UCC-1 from an MCA funder are proven buyers of working capital and good candidates for stacking or refinance offers.
2. **Equipment finance prospecting:** new equipment-lease UCCs show who is buying equipment now.
3. **Competitive intelligence:** track how many filings each lender makes per month, by state.
4. **Credit and risk monitoring:** check whether a client or prospect has new liens filed against it.
5. **CRM enrichment:** add lien activity to account records.

### Try it free in 1 click

The input form is **prefilled with a small, working example**. Press **Start** without changing anything: the run returns 20 new UCC-1 financing statements from CO, CT and OR. Our test run of exactly this input finished in about 17 seconds with 20 results. At $0.004 per filing that is about $0.08, which fits inside the free monthly credit of Apify's free plan. Then swap in your own values.

Prefilled input:

```json
{
  "states": [
    "CO",
    "CT",
    "OR"
  ],
  "maxResults": 20
}
```

### Sample output

}
```
### Typical volume
For September 2026 (business debtors, initial UCC-1 only), the Actor returned about 3,500 filings for Colorado, 1,950 for Connecticut and 1,400 for Oregon.
### Data notes
- **Colorado:** filings, debtors, secured parties and collateral datasets, updated regularly by the CO Secretary of State.
- **Connecticut:** the active-lien dataset, updated nightly. It includes active (unlapsed) liens only and has no collateral text.
- **Oregon:** the "UCC List of Filings Entered Last Month" dataset holds only the **previous calendar month**, so schedule monthly runs to build history. Each record links to the filing image.
- The data is public record as published by each state. It is not a consumer report and must not be used for FCRA-regulated purposes.
### Scheduling tip
Run the Actor daily or weekly with `sinceDate` set to your last run date, then send the results to Google Sheets, your CRM or a webhook through Apify integrations.
**Keywords:** UCC filings, UCC-1 scraper, UCC lien search, MCA leads, merchant cash advance leads, equipment finance leads, secured party search, Secretary of State UCC data, Colorado UCC, Connecticut UCC, Oregon UCC.
### Use it as an MCP tool (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, any AI agent)
This Actor works as a tool in the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com), so an AI agent can call it directly and you pay per result, the same as a normal run. Add this server URL to any MCP client:
```
https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=appetizing_horsefly/ucc-filings-feed
```
Sign in with your Apify account (or pass your Apify API token as a Bearer header). The agent reads the input fields above from the Actor's input schema. Example request to the agent: "Find new UCC-1 filings in Colorado since last Monday where the secured party is an equipment lender."
