## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Reviews for iOS and Android

This actor collects recent public reviews for Apple App Store and Google Play apps. Each review row has the store, app id, country, star rating, review text, review title when the store provides one, date, and app version.

Reviewer names, avatars, profile links, and account ids are not saved. The dataset schema does not have those fields, and the parser never copies them out of the store payload.

An app that returns nothing, or that the store refuses, is one error row. The other apps still finish.

### Input

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "324684580",
    "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music"
  ],
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en",
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 20
}
```

| Field | Default | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `apps` | required | 1 to 40 numeric App Store ids, Play package names, or store URLs. |
| `country` | `us` | Two-letter storefront, such as `us` or `gb`. |
| `language` | `en` | Language sent to Google Play. The Apple feed follows the country. |
| `maxReviewsPerApp` | `20` | Newest reviews kept per app. 1 to 50. |

A numeric id is treated as iOS. A dotted package name is treated as Android.

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "android",
  "appId": "com.spotify.music",
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en",
  "rating": 5,
  "title": null,
  "text": "Playback is steady.",
  "date": "2023-11-14T22:13:20.000Z",
  "version": "9.1.92.3058",
  "status": "ok",
  "error": null
}
```

Play reviews have no separate title, so `title` is null. The `SUMMARY` record counts apps that returned at least one review.

### Proxy

The actor asks for the included datacenter proxy group `BUYPROXIES94952`. It does not use residential, Google SERP, or unblocker proxies. If that group is unavailable, it continues without a proxy. Store URLs you paste are parsed for an id only. They are not fetched as web pages.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event code is in the actor and is not enabled. The event name is exactly `review` at $0.0003 per saved review, with no start fee. Error rows are not billed. Until monetization is turned on, runs are not charged for results. See `PRICING.md`.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "apps": [
        "324684580",
        "com.spotify.music"
    ],
    "country": "us",
    "language": "en",
    "maxReviewsPerApp": 20
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("appreciative_duct/app-reviews-ios-android").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
