## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## OLX Kazakhstan Listings Scraper

Search **OLX Kazakhstan** (Kazakhstan) and export the listings as clean, structured data. Type a search term, choose how many results you want, and get titles, prices, photos, locations, conditions and category details in seconds. No login, no cookies, no browser.

### What you can do with it

- Track prices for a product or category in Kazakhstan
- Find bargains and new listings before others do
- Compare used-goods prices across cities and regions
- Build price databases, resale research and market reports
- Monitor competitors and business sellers

### How to use it

1. Enter a **Search query**.
2. Set **Maximum results**. The actor collects as many pages as needed.
3. Optionally set **Min price** / **Max price** and **Sort by** (relevance, newest, cheapest or most expensive).
4. Run it and download the data as JSON, CSV, Excel or via API.

Search terms work in the local language of the site (Kazakh and Russian). The actor never fails because of a bad input or an empty search: it finishes with a clear message and an example instead.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Search query | What to look for. Example: `iphone` |
| Maximum results | 1 to 1000. Default 50 |
| Min price / Max price | Optional price range in KZT (the site's local currency) |
| Sort by | Relevance, Newest first, Price low to high, Price high to low |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchQuery": "iphone",
  "maxResults": 50,
  "sortBy": "newest"
}
```

### Output

Each listing is one row. Empty fields are left out. The first column is the main photo.

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| thumbnail | Main photo link |
| title, id, url | Listing title, ID and link |
| price, currency, priceLabel | Price as a number, currency code and the price text shown on the site |
| condition | New, used and similar, where the site provides it |
| description | Full listing text |
| city, district, region, country | Location |
| sellerType | private or business |
| attributes | Category details such as brand, model, size, storage |
| images, photoCount | All photos |
| createdAt / postedLabel | When the listing was posted |
| isPromoted, isUrgent and similar flags | Promotion status |

#### Example output

```json
{
  "thumbnail": "https://.../photo.jpg",
  "id": "1104834492",
  "title": "iPhone 14 128 GB",
  "price": 800,
  "currency": "KZT",
  "condition": "Used",
  "url": "https://www.olx.kz/...",
  "city": "...",
  "sellerType": "private",
  "attributes": [{ "name": "Brand", "value": "Apple" }]
}
```

### Good to know

- Public listings only. Private seller names, phone numbers and profile details are not collected. For business sellers the company name is included.
- The site shows a limited number of results per search (up to about 1000). Use price filters or different search terms to go deeper.
- Results reflect what the site shows at the time of the run.
- Please respect the marketplace's terms and local data protection rules when you use the data.
- You are charged per listing saved. Set **Maximum results** to control the cost.

### FAQ

**Do I need an account or cookies?** No.

**Is it fast?** Yes. Pages are loaded in parallel, and results are saved as they arrive.

**What happens if nothing matches?** The run succeeds with a message and a working example.

**Can I search by category or city?** Use a search term that includes the category or city name.
