## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Pokemon TCG Card Prices Scraper

Search Pokemon cards by name, set, rarity or type and get current market prices from TCGplayer (USD) and Cardmarket (EUR), together with images and full card data.

### What you get

One row per card with prices for every variant (normal, holofoil, reverse holofoil, 1st edition) and Cardmarket averages.

### Input

- **Card name** - For example Charizard or Pikachu.
- **Set name** - Optional, for example Base Set.
- **Rarity** - Optional, for example Rare Holo.
- **Energy type** - Optional, for example Fire.
- **Card category** - Pokemon, Trainer or Energy.
- **Advanced query** - Optional extra filter in Pokemon TCG search syntax, for example `hp:[150 TO *]`.
- **Maximum results** - How many cards to collect.

Example input:

```json
{
  "cardName": "charizard",
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

### Output

Each result is one row in the dataset. You can download it as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read it through the Apify API.

- `image` - Card image (first column)
- `id, name, setName, number, rarity` - Which card it is
- `marketPrice, marketPriceVariant` - TCGplayer market price in USD
- `tcgplayerPrices` - Low, mid, high and market price for every variant
- `cardmarketAverageSell, cardmarketLow, cardmarketTrend, cardmarketAvg1/7/30` - Cardmarket prices in EUR
- `attacks, abilities, hp, types, weaknesses` - Card game data

Example result:

```json
{
  "id": "base1-4",
  "name": "Charizard",
  "setName": "Base",
  "rarity": "Rare Holo",
  "marketPrice": 420.5,
  "marketPriceVariant": "holofoil",
  "cardmarketTrend": 310.2,
  "tcgplayerUpdated": "2026/10/14"
}
```

### Good to know

- Runs are fast and need no cookies, logins or proxies from you.
- A search with no matches, or an input that is not valid, does not fail the run. It finishes as Succeeded with a short message and an example input.
- You pay per result row. Set **Maximum results** to control cost.
- TCGplayer prices are in USD and Cardmarket prices are in EUR. Price dates are in the `tcgplayerUpdated` and `cardmarketUpdated` fields.
