## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Remote Jobs Aggregator: 7 Remote Job Boards in One Run

Collect remote job listings from **Remote OK, Remotive, Himalayas, Jobicy, We Work Remotely, Arbeitnow and Working Nomads** in a single run, with the same fields for every job. No login, no cookies. All seven boards finish in a few seconds. Export as JSON, CSV, Excel or through the API.

### What you get

Title, company, logo, category, tags, job type, location restrictions, salary range where published, posting date, plain-text description, the link to the original listing and an apply link. Results are sorted newest first and the same job posted on several boards is removed.

### Why use this actor

- **One run instead of seven.** Pick any boards, or keep all of them.
- **Keywords search the full job text.** A keyword matches the title, company, tags, category and the entire description. Searching python finds every job that mentions python.
- **Deeper results per board.** Jobicy is read page by page and boards that search by keyword are queried with every keyword you give.
- **Duplicates removed** across boards by default.
- **Consistent fields** for databases, newsletters and dashboards.

### Use cases

- Fill a job board or newsletter with fresh remote roles
- Source candidates or leads by skill tag
- Track which companies hire remotely and in which categories
- Research remote salary ranges where boards publish them
- Feed alerts and dashboards on a daily schedule

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Job boards (`sources`) | Which boards to collect from. Leave all selected for the widest coverage. |
| Keywords (`keywords`) | Keep jobs matching at least one keyword in title, company, tags, category or the full description. Leave empty for all jobs. |
| Locations (`locations`) | Keep jobs open to these locations (text match, for example Europe, USA, Germany). Worldwide and anywhere jobs are always kept. |
| Categories or tags (`categories`) | Keep jobs whose category or tags contain one of these texts (for example design, marketing, devops). |
| Posted within days (`postedWithinDays`) | Only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 means no limit. Jobs without a date are excluded when this is set. Default: `0`. Range: 0-365. |
| Minimum yearly salary (`minSalary`) | Only jobs that publish a salary with a top value at or above this number. 0 means no filter. Currency differs by job, see the salaryCurrency field. Default: `0`. Range: 0-. |
| Max jobs per board (`maxJobsPerSource`) | Maximum number of jobs collected from each board before filtering. Default: `200`. Range: 1-1000. |
| Max jobs in total (`maxJobsTotal`) | Maximum number of jobs returned, newest first. Default: `1000`. Range: 1-10000. |
| Include job description (`includeDescription`) | Adds the plain-text job description to each job. Default: `true`. |
| Remove duplicates (`deduplicate`) | Remove the same job (same title and company) posted on several boards. Default: `true`. |

### Pricing

- Job: $0.0007 per event ($0.70 per 1,000).

You only pay for jobs that are returned. Recommended listing prices, not a promise of active Store billing.

### Tips

- Use Max jobs per board to keep one large board from dominating the results.
- Filter with posted-within-days and run daily to get only new jobs.
- Turn off descriptions for lighter datasets. Keyword search still reads the full description.

### FAQ

**Why did I get fewer jobs than the maximum?** Each board shows only its currently listed jobs, typically a few hundred to a thousand in total, and your filters narrow that further.

**Is salary always present?** No. Check `salaryCurrency` and `salaryPeriod`.

**Can I use several keywords?** Yes. A job is kept if it matches at least one.

### Limits

Results cover each board's current public inventory only. Jobicy publishes the last 7 days. Salary currencies and periods are not converted. Requests can be rate-limited or refused by a source and a small test is not proof of sustained-volume performance. Each job links back to its original listing. Keep that link when you republish jobs, because some boards ask for attribution. Employer-published fields can be missing. Use the data lawfully and check the source site terms before republishing.
