## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Shopify Collection Products Scraper

Paste one or more Shopify collection links and get back every product inside each collection as clean rows: titles, prices, variants, availability and images. Built for anyone who needs a single category shelf as data: buyers watching one department, dropshippers pulling a niche, merchandisers comparing category assortments, and analysts tracking category-level discounts.

### What you can do with it

- **Pull one shelf** — paste `https://drinkolipop.com/collections/shop-9g-fiber` and get every product in that collection.
- **Compare categories** — run several collection links side by side on price, discount and availability.
- **Cover very large stores piece by piece** — each collection is read separately, so big catalogs split into manageable runs.
- **Feed a category feed** — every row carries its collection handle plus a stable product ID, ready to join with your other data.
- **Monitor a category on a schedule** — re-run the same links daily and diff each fresh dataset against the last.

### What you get

One row per product, labelled with its collection. Abridged sample of a single record:

```json
{
  "storeDomain": "drinkolipop.com",
  "collectionHandle": "shop-9g-fiber",
  "collectionUrl": "https://drinkolipop.com/collections/shop-9g-fiber",
  "productId": "8123456789012",
  "handle": "crisp-apple",
  "url": "https://drinkolipop.com/products/crisp-apple",
  "title": "Crisp Apple",
  "vendor": "OLIPOP",
  "currency": "USD",
  "price": { "amount": 35.99, "currency": "USD" },
  "compareAtPrice": null,
  "variantsCount": 3,
  "availableCount": 3,
```

### Input reference

| Setting | Type | Default | What it does |

### Pricing

You pay per product row, with no monthly minimum.

| What you are charged for | Price |
| --- | --- |
| Product row — one row added to your dataset | **$1.2 per 1,000** |

### Limits & what this actor cannot do

- Each collection read covers up to 25,000 products; bigger collections stop at that coverage cap.
- Records are a snapshot at the moment of collection; prices, discounts and stock flags keep changing afterwards.
- Fields a store does not show come back empty rather than guessed — a product with no listed vendor has no vendor in its row.
- Stock is reported as a simple in/out flag per variant; exact quantities are not published by stores.
- Non-collection links and password-protected stores are skipped, not charged.
- Speed depends on the size of the job and on each store's own response times; no fixed throughput is promised.
- The source site's terms govern automated access. You are responsible for using the data lawfully and in line with the source site's terms, and for handling any personal data in line with applicable privacy law.

### FAQ

**Do I need a store account?**
No. The actor reads only what stores show publicly in their collections.

**Does it need my login or password?**
No. There is nothing to connect and nothing to configure — paste collection links and press start.

**What counts as a collection link?**
A link containing `/collections/`, such as `https://drinkolipop.com/collections/shop-9g-fiber`. Anything else is skipped.

**How many products can I collect per run?**
Up to 25,000 per collection in one run.

**Can I schedule it?**
Yes. Schedule it hourly, daily or weekly from the Apify console, and each run writes a fresh dataset you can compare against the last.

**Is the data complete?**
It is complete for everything the store shows openly in the collection. Where a store omits a field, the actor leaves it empty rather than guessing.
