## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Telegram User Account Advanced Search

Most username checks stop at the obvious handle. This one keeps going.

Give it a base keyword. Add a number range or a letter range when you want the names around it. You get a deep list of matching Telegram usernames, each as a t.me link. A single brief comes back with far more accounts than a one-name lookup.

It is the best in class Telegram username search for result volume, and the only Actor that returns this many matches from one run.

### Sign in once

Telegram asks you to sign in with your own account.

| Goal | Settings |
|------|----------|
| First sign-in | Start the run. If no login is saved, a window opens. Open Live View and scan the QR. |
| Later runs | Same `sessionStoreName`, `headless: true` |
| Sign in again | `forceLogin: true` or `headless: false` |
| Different account | New `sessionStoreName` or `forceLogin: true` |

Do not share your `sessionStoreName`. It holds your login.

Prefer a check that never asks you to sign in? Use **Telegram Username Enumerator**.

### Input examples

**First sign-in**

```json
{
  "base": "bitcoin",
  "forceLogin": true,
  "loginWaitSec": 300,
  "sessionStoreName": "tg-session-yourname",
  "persistSession": true
}
```

**Reuse the saved login**

```json
{
  "base": "bitcoin",
  "start": "1",
  "end": "10",
  "headless": true,
  "sessionStoreName": "tg-session-yourname",
  "persistSession": true
}
```

### Output fields

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `url` | Telegram link |
| `username` | Handle |
| `base` | Base keyword |
| `matchedTerm` | Search term that found it |

### Tips

- On Apify Console, open Live View when the window is visible so you can scan the QR
- Keep `maxTerms` reasonable. Wider ranges take longer.
- Use a private `sessionStoreName` for each Telegram account

### Pricing

$3 per 1,000 usernames found ($0.003 each). You pay for usernames that land in the dataset.

### Compliance

Authorized research only. Respect Telegram's Terms of Service. You are responsible for the Telegram account you connect.

# Actor input Schema

## `base` (type: `string`):

Base search string. Alone it searches once. With start/end it becomes a prefix for generated suffixes (e.g. base=bitcoin, start=1, end=10 gives bitcoin1 through bitcoin10).

## `start` (type: `string`):

Optional range start. Use digits (1, 01, 100) or lowercase letters of equal length (a, aa, zz).

## `end` (type: `string`):

Optional range end. Must match the type/length style of start.

## `maxTerms` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on how many generated patterns to search.

## `delayBetweenSearchesSec` (type: `integer`):

Pause between each search term to reduce rate limiting.

## `loginWaitSec` (type: `integer`):

How long to wait while you sign in the first time. Later runs reuse the saved login.

## `sessionStoreName` (type: `string`):

Private name for the saved login. Example: tg-session-alice. Do not share this name.

## `persistSession` (type: `boolean`):

Keep the login for later runs. Uses the session store name.

## `forceLogin` (type: `boolean`):

Sign in again. Use this if the saved login expired or you want a different account. On Apify Console, open Live View after Start.

## `headless` (type: `boolean`):

On for later runs, after you have already signed in. Turn off if you need to sign in or watch the run. The first run opens a window for the QR even if this is on.

## `onlyNewResults` (type: `boolean`):

Skip usernames this session name has already returned.
