# Indonesia Earthquake API - BMKG Gempa Terkini Scraper (`arqlabs/bmkg-indonesia-earthquakes`) Actor

Get the latest Indonesia earthquakes (gempa terkini) from BMKG as JSON: time in UTC and WIB, magnitude, depth, coordinates, region, felt intensity and tsunami potential. Official BMKG open data, an alternative to USGS feeds for Indonesia. Pay per record.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Indonesia Earthquake API - BMKG Gempa Terkini Scraper

Use it as an Indonesia earthquake API: get gempa terkini from BMKG for alerts, dashboards and risk monitoring, the Indonesian counterpart to USGS earthquake feeds.

BMKG Indonesia Earthquake Data returns the latest earthquakes in Indonesia (gempa terkini, gempa dirasakan and M5.0+) from the official BMKG open data feeds as clean, deduplicated JSON.

### Why this Actor

- Official open data from BMKG's public TEWS feeds at data.bmkg.go.id.
- Merged and deduplicated across the latest, M5.0+ and felt-earthquake feeds.
- Filters for minimum magnitude.
- Schedule it hourly in Apify to power alerts, dashboards, insurance/logistics risk monitoring or research datasets.

### Example run

Real input and the first output record from run TcFPdXL5CHNszmnBy on 2026-10-30. Long text fields are shortened here with "...".

Input:

```json
{
  "feeds": [
    "latest",
    "felt"
  ],
  "minMagnitude": 0
}
```

Output (first record):

```json
{
  "feed": "latest",
  "timeUtc": "2026-10-29T20:32:13+00:00",
  "timeWib": "30 Okt 2026 03:32:13 WIB",
  "latitude": -4.4,
  "longitude": 132.49,
  "magnitude": 5.3,
  "depthKm": 10,
  "region": "139 km BaratLaut TUAL-MALUKU",
  "tsunamiPotential": "Tidak berpotensi tsunami",
  "feltIntensity": null,
  "shakemapUrl": null,
  "id": "2026-10-29T20:32:13+00:00|-4.40,132.49",
  "source": "BMKG (data.bmkg.go.id)"
}
```

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `feeds` | Which BMKG feeds to read |
| `minMagnitude` | Drop smaller quakes |
| `regionContains` | Optional text filter on the region, e.g. `Jawa` |

### Output (one item per earthquake)

Fields: `id`, `feed`, `timeUtc`, `timeWib`, `magnitude`, `depthKm`, `latitude`, `longitude`, `region`, `tsunamiPotential`, `feltIntensity`, `shakemapUrl`, and `source`.

### Notes

Data courtesy of BMKG; credit BMKG as the source when you republish it. This Actor is not affiliated with BMKG and is not an official warning service, so always follow official BMKG alerts.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event: a small start fee plus a fee per record.
