## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## Bluesky Posts, Profiles & Search Scraper (AT Protocol)

Export **Bluesky** data through the public AT Protocol API — no login, no browser, no proxies, fast and cheap:

- **Account posts** (`authorFeed`): every post of one or more accounts, with engagement counts, links, images, hashtags, mentions, reply/repost flags — optionally only since a date.
- **Profiles** (`profile`): follower/following/post counts, bio, avatar, creation date.
- **Threads** (`thread`): a post plus its replies (configurable depth).
- **Account search** (`searchActors`): find accounts by keyword.

### What you get

One dataset row per post or profile:

| field | description |
|---|---|
| `type` | `post`, `profile` or `error` |
| `uri`, `cid`, `url` | AT URI, content hash and the clickable bsky.app URL |
| `handle`, `did`, `display_name` | author |
| `text`, `created_at`, `indexed_at`, `langs` | content |
| `likes`, `reposts`, `replies`, `quotes` | engagement counts |
| `is_reply`, `reply_to_uri`, `is_repost` | context flags |
| `embed_type`, `images`, `external_link`, `external_title`, `quoted_uri` | media & embeds |
| `links`, `mentions`, `hashtags`, `labels` | rich-text facets and moderation labels |
| profile rows: `followers`, `follows`, `posts`, `description`, `avatar`, `banner`, `created_at` | |
| `error` | set on rows for unknown handles/posts — **never billed** |

### Input

| field | default | meaning |
|---|---|---|
| `mode` | authorFeed | authorFeed / profile / thread / searchActors |
| `handles` | — | accounts (handles or profile URLs) |
| `postUrls` | — | posts for thread mode |
| `queries` | — | keywords for searchActors |
| `maxItems` | 100 | rows per target |
| `since` | "" | only posts at/after this ISO date (authorFeed) |
| `includeReposts` / `includeReplies` | true | keep reposts / replies |
| `feedFilter` | posts\_with\_replies | AT Protocol feed filter |
| `threadDepth` | 6 | reply depth in thread mode |

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per stored row**. Error rows are stored for transparency but **not charged**.

### Limitations (honest)

- **Keyword search of posts is not available**: Bluesky now requires authentication for `searchPosts`, and this Actor deliberately runs without any account. Use `authorFeed` + `since` for monitoring specific accounts, or `searchActors` to find accounts.
- Only public data; blocked/private accounts return an error row.
- Counts are as reported by the Bluesky AppView at fetch time.

Account handles (bsky.app, @user.bsky.social) or profile URLs. Used by authorFeed and profile modes.

## `postUrls` (type: `array`):

Post URLs (https://bsky.app/profile/<handle>/post/<id>) or at:// URIs. Used by thread mode.

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Keywords to find accounts. Used by searchActors mode.

Only posts created at or after this date/time, e.g. 2026-08-01 (authorFeed mode).

## `includeReposts` (type: `boolean`):

Keep reposts in the account feed (marked is\_repost).

## `includeReplies` (type: `boolean`):

Keep the account's replies in the feed (marked is\_reply).

## `feedFilter` (type: `string`):

AT Protocol feed filter for authorFeed.

## `threadDepth` (type: `integer`):

How many reply levels to fetch in thread mode (max 1000 posts per thread).

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
