## Pricing

from $1.28 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## US Teaching & School Jobs Scraper

Teacher, substitute, paraprofessional, coach, counselor, administrator and school staff jobs from two of the
biggest K-12 job boards in the US, in one clean table:

- **SchoolSpring**: about 62,000 open jobs at public, charter and private schools nationwide.
- **EdJoin**: about 15,000 open jobs, almost all at California school districts and county offices.

For education recruiters and staffing agencies, ed-tech sales teams tracking which districts are hiring, researchers
studying teacher shortages and pay, and job sites that list school jobs.

### What you get (one row per job)

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `title`, `category`, `employment_type` | `Middle School Math Teacher`, `Special Education / Severe/Profound Disabilities`, `Full-Time` |
| `employer`, `school` | `Santa Ana Unified School District`, `Z J Williams School` |
| `city`, `state`, `postal_code`, `county`, `latitude`, `longitude` | `Santa Ana`, `California`, `92701-6322` |
| `salary_min`, `salary_max`, `salary_unit`, `salary_text` | `10778`, `14892`, `MONTH`, `$10,778 - $14,892 Monthly` |
| `posted_date`, `close_date`, `start_date`, `positions` | `2026-10-12`, `2026-10-23` |
| `description`, `requirements` (plain text) | |
| `contact_name`, `contact_email`, `contact_phone` (the posting's published HR contact) | |
| `apply_url` (the district's own application page when given), `job_url`, `source` | |

### How to use it

- **Newest 50 jobs** (the default): just run it.
- **Every math teacher job in Texas**: Keyword `math teacher`, States `Texas`, clear **Max results**.
- **Every open school job in the US**: clear **Max results** (about 77,000 jobs; turn off **Include full posting
details** for a much faster list of titles, employers, locations and dates).
- **Daily new jobs**: schedule the same search with **Max results** cleared. With `mode: auto`, each run returns only new
and changed jobs, plus jobs taken down since the last run (`change_type: "delisted"`).

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `keyword` | Search words. Empty = every job. |
| `states` | Full state names. Empty = the whole US. |
| `sources` | SchoolSpring, EdJoin or both. |
| `includeDetails` | Description, pay, dates, category, contact and apply link (default on). |
| `maxItems` | Row cap, 50 by default. Clear it for everything. |
| `mode` | `auto`, `full` or `incremental` (see above). |
| `concurrency` | Requests in parallel (default 10). |
| `impersonate` | Browser fingerprint (default `chrome`). Change only if requests start failing. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default; not needed. |

### Good to know

- A close date is empty when the job is posted until filled.
- Pay is given in whatever unit the district uses (hourly, daily, monthly or yearly); check `salary_unit`.
- The same job can appear on both boards when a California district posts on both.
- No proxy needed.

# Actor input Schema

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Search words, e.g. math teacher, special education, superintendent. Leave empty for every job.

## `states` (type: `array`):

Only jobs in these states. Leave empty for the whole US. EdJoin is almost entirely California.

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Which boards to search.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Add the description, pay range, dates, category, contact and apply link (one extra request per job). Turn off for a fast list of titles, employers, locations and dates.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. Defaults to 50 for a quick preview; clear it (null) for every match.

## `mode` (type: `string`):

"auto": the first run returns every job; later runs of the same search (with maxItems cleared) return only new and changed jobs, plus jobs taken down since (change_type "delisted"). "full": every job every time. "incremental": only new/changed.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

Postings fetched in parallel.

## `impersonate` (type: `string`):

curl_cffi browser fingerprint; defaults to "chrome".

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed: both boards answered every request from Apify's infrastructure without a proxy in testing.
