## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 successfully scraped reviews

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## G2 Reviews Scraper

### What it does

G2 Reviews Scraper collects **public** reviews from G2 **product review listing** pages. Give it one or more product URLs, or exact slugs such as `slack`, choose how many reviews to save, and download JSON, CSV, or Excel from the Apify dataset.

Each saved row uses a stable schema: title, body, rating, date, public reviewer display name, optional public title or company when clearly marked on the card, helpful votes, review link when available, product name, and slug. Missing optional fields are `null`. Cards without a nonempty public body are not saved and are not charged as reviews.

The dataset contains review rows only. Diagnostics and aggregates are stored as `RUN_SUMMARY` in the key-value store, not as extra dataset items.

### Recommended input

**`useUnblocker` defaults to `true`** (Apify Proxy + Unblocker). G2 commonly returns HTTP 403 without it; platform Unblocker usage is passed through. Set `useUnblocker=false` only to try cheaper datacenter/residential proxies. Keep `maxReviews` and `maxPagesPerProduct` small on the first runs.

```json
{
  "productUrls": ["https://www.g2.com/products/slack/reviews"],
  "maxReviews": 5,
  "maxPagesPerProduct": 1,
  "pageDelaySecs": 5,
  "useApifyProxy": true,
  "useUnblocker": true
}
```

A private trial on 2026-10-25 is a cost observation only: one small Unblocker run used about $0.031 of platform usage. That is **not** a guaranteed rate and **not** a Store success-rate percentage.

### Pricing

Success-only pay-per-event pricing: **$0.002** per unique nonempty review written to the dataset. Platform usage, including Apify Unblocker when it is enabled, is passed through to the user.

This Actor is an **independent** third-party tool. It is **not** affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by G2.com or its owners. It collects publicly readable review listings only.

# Actor input Schema

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

Public G2 product/reviews URLs. Combined with productSlugs; at least one product is required. Other page types and arbitrary URLs are rejected. Query parameters are discarded.

## `productSlugs` (type: `array`):

Exact G2 slugs, for example slack or notion. Combined with productUrls and deduplicated. Up to 100 inputs total.

## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):

Global maximum saved reviews across all products, processed in input order. Stop early on blocks or missing pagination.

## `maxPagesPerProduct` (type: `integer`):

Cost safety cap on page numbers per product. Starts at page 1 and follows visible next links.

## `pageDelaySecs` (type: `integer`):

Minimum navigation interval with concurrency fixed at one. A longer robots.txt crawl delay takes precedence.

## `navigationTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Timeout for each page navigation. Network errors get at most one retry; challenge pages stop the run.

## `useApifyProxy` (type: `boolean`):

When true (platform default), attach Apify Proxy via Actor.createProxyConfiguration. Local runs omit this or set false unless you pass a token. Does not solve CAPTCHAs.

## `apifyProxyGroups` (type: `array`):

Proxy groups when useUnblocker=false. BUYPROXIES94952 = Free shared datacenter (cheapest). SHADER = datacenter alias on some plans. RESIDENTIAL = residential. UNBLOCKER = Apify anti-bot Unblocker. If multiple are listed, the actor uses the cheapest one only for this run. No automatic mid-run fallback. Ignored when useUnblocker=true.

## `useUnblocker` (type: `boolean`):

When true (recommended default), forces useApifyProxy and apifyProxyGroups=\["UNBLOCKER"]. Unblocker is Apify's anti-bot proxy (~$1.50/1k successful requests on Free; platform usage passed through). Set false only to try cheaper BUYPROXIES94952 / RESIDENTIAL — G2 often returns HTTP 403 without Unblocker. No session stickiness.
