## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Search Results Scraper (US & UK)

Turn Amazon keyword searches into one clean row per product card: ASIN, title,
price and list price, discount, rating and exact review count, "bought in past
month", badges, sponsored flag, delivery and stock, plus the card's page and
position. Search amazon.com or amazon.co.uk. Proxies and retries are handled
for you.

> **Unofficial tool:** This Actor is independently developed and is not
> affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon. Amazon names and
> trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Use it for rank tracking, keyword and niche research, competitor and price
monitoring, and to find ASINs for the
[Amazon Product Scraper](https://apify.com/astravalabs/amazon-products-scraper).

- **Reliable.** 110 of 110 search pages collected across our launch validation
  runs on both stores, including pages that first came back as Amazon
  interstitials or server errors and were retried on fresh identities.
- **Exact numbers.** Amazon's cards display "(19.2K)"; this Actor returns the
  exact review count (19,255). Review counts matched the product pages for
  every one of 298 products checked.
- **Organic and sponsored, ranked.** Every card carries its page, position and
  organic position, so you can track where a product really ranks.

### Pricing

**$1.75 per 1,000 results** ($0.00175 per product card), plus a negligible
Actor start fee. You pay only for rows in the dataset.

### Quick start

```json
{
  "queries": ["notebook", "wireless headphones"],
  "marketplace": "US",
  "maxPagesPerQuery": 3,
  "maxResultsPerQuery": 100,
  "maxTotalResults": 500
}
```

### Options

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `queries` | — | Up to 100 keywords. Duplicates and extra whitespace are removed. |
| `marketplace` | `US` | `US` (amazon.com) or `UK` (amazon.co.uk). Prices come back in that store's currency. |
| `maxPagesPerQuery` | `3` | Search result pages per keyword, up to 10. |
| `maxResultsPerQuery` | `100` | Unique products per keyword, up to 1,000. |
| `maxTotalResults` | `500` | Whole-run limit, up to 10,000. The main cost control. |

Actual results depend on how many products Amazon shows for each search.

### What you get

One row per product card. A real row from amazon.com:

```json
{
  "query": "notebook",
  "marketplace": "US",
  "page": 1,
  "pagePosition": 5,
  "overallPosition": 5,
  "organicPosition": 1,
  "asin": "B00D3OR58A",
  "title": "Oxford Spiral Notebook 6 Pack, 1 Subject, College Ruled Paper, 8 x 10-1/2 Inch, Color Assortment Design May Vary (65007)",
  "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D3OR58A",
  "imageUrl": "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71weJCNs6vL._AC_UL320_.jpg",
  "highResolutionImageUrl": "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71weJCNs6vL._AC_UL960_FMwebp_QL65_.jpg",
  "displayedPrice": 5.33,
  "displayedPriceText": "$5.33",
  "listPrice": 8.99,
  "listPriceText": "$8.99",
  "discountPercent": 40.7,
  "unitPriceText": "$0.89 /count",
  "promotionText": null,
  "badges": ["Overall Pick", "Prime Big Deal", "Amazon's Choice"],
  "boughtPastMonthText": "10K+ bought in past month",
  "boughtPastMonthLowerBound": 10000,
  "secondaryOfferText": null,
  "secondaryOfferPrice": null,
  "secondaryOfferCount": null,
  "stockRemaining": null,
  "variantCount": null,
  "productType": null,
  "currency": "USD",
  "rating": 4.8,
  "reviewCount": 44814,
  "sponsored": false,
  "deliveryText": "Join Prime to get FREE delivery Tomorrow, Oct 7 Or Non-members get FREE delivery Sun, Oct 11 on $35 of items shipped by Amazon"
}
```

#### Field notes

- `pagePosition` and `overallPosition` count every card on the page and across
  pages; `organicPosition` counts only non-sponsored cards and is `null` for
  sponsored ones.
- `boughtPastMonthLowerBound` turns Amazon's coarse label ("10K+ bought in past
  month") into a sortable number.
- `secondaryOfferCount` is a lower bound when Amazon shows "3+ used & new
  offers"; the original label stays in `secondaryOfferText`.
- `url` is always the clean `/dp/{asin}` product URL, so sponsored redirects
  and search tracking never reach your data.
- Prices, delivery and stock are what Amazon showed to a visitor in that
  store's country at collection time.

### Run report

The `RUN_REPORT` record in the run's key-value store lists every keyword with
its pages, outcome, and why it stopped (page limit, result limit, or no more
results), plus request counts and timing.

### Responsible use

This Actor collects publicly available search results. You are responsible for
ensuring your use of the data complies with Amazon's terms, applicable laws,
privacy rules, intellectual-property rights, and any contractual obligations.
