## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs Scraper: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee

Pull every open job from company career boards on **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Recruitee** into one clean schema, with salary (when the company publishes it), remote flag, posting date and optional full description. It uses each ATS's official public job-board API: no login, no proxies, no browser.

### Who it's for

Recruiters and staffing agencies, job boards and aggregators, and B2B sales teams that use hiring as a buying signal ("company X just opened 12 data-engineering roles").

### What you get

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `ats` | ATS platform |
| `company` | Board slug |
| `jobId` | ATS job id |
| `title` | Job title |
| `department` | Department or team |
| `location` | Location text |
| `remote` | Remote flag when the ATS provides it |
| `employmentType` | Full-time, contract, ... |
| `postedAt` | Publish date (ISO or epoch ms, as the ATS gives it) |
| `updatedAt` | Last update |
| `salaryMin` | Salary min if published |
| `salaryMax` | Salary max if published |
| `salaryCurrency` | Currency |
| `jobUrl` | Public job page |
| `applyUrl` | Apply link |
| `description` | Plain-text description (if enabled) |
| `error` | Set only on error rows (bad input, site unavailable). Error rows are billed like results; see README. |

### Input

- **Companies** (required): one per line as `ats:slug`, e.g. `greenhouse:stripe`, `lever:spotify`, `ashby:ramp`, `workable:huggingface`, `recruitee:bunq`, or a board URL.
- **Title keywords** (optional): keep jobs whose title contains any of these words.
- **Location contains** (optional): e.g. `Remote`, `Austin`, `Texas`.
- **Include description** (default off): adds the plain-text job description.
- **Max jobs per company** / **Max results** (0 = no limit).

Example:

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "greenhouse:stripe",
    "lever:spotify",
    "ashby:ramp"
  ],
  "keywords": [
    "engineer"
  ],
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

Results appear in the **Output** tab and can be exported as JSON, CSV or Excel or pulled through the Apify API. Schedule the Actor daily or weekly to catch new items.

### Supported platforms

| ATS | Status |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse | Supported |
| Lever | Supported |
| Ashby | Supported (max 1 request/second) |
| Workable | Supported |
| Recruitee | Supported |
| SmartRecruiters | Accepted as input but **currently skipped**: its API host's robots.txt disallows all crawlers except LinkedInBot, so the Actor returns one `blocked by robots.txt` row instead of data |

### Respecting robots.txt

Before fetching, the Actor checks each API host's robots.txt at run time (RFC 9309: longest-match Allow/Disallow with wildcards; a 4xx robots.txt means no restrictions; 5xx or unreachable means skip).

### Pricing

Pay per result: you are charged for each row written to the dataset. Filters run *before* rows are saved, so you only pay for matches. A row that reports a bad input or an unavailable source (field `error`) also counts as one result, so you can see exactly what happened. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the Actor stops when it is reached.

### Data source

Each vendor's documented public job-board API, the same endpoints companies use to embed job lists on their own career pages. Job ads are not personal data and recruiter names are not collected. Data is live at run time.

### Privacy

The Actor never logs in and never collects personal data of private individuals. You are responsible for using the data in line with the source's terms and the law in your country.

### Questions or a missing feature?
