# BORME Spain Corporate Acts Scraper (`automatic/borme-es-scraper`) Actor

Structured corporate-registry acts from Spain's official BORME (Registro Mercantil): incorporations, appointments, capital changes and deposits by province and day, via the official BOE open-data service. BORME publishes each business day — any province or date window on demand.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Spain BORME Corporate Acts

### Quick Start

Collect corporate acts published in Spain's official public registry data.
Useful for company monitoring, legal research, and business intelligence.
Paste this input to start:

```json
{"date": "2026-09-04"}
```

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---:|---|
| `date` | string | `""` | One publication date in `YYYY-MM-DD` format. |
| `dateStart` | string | `""` | Start of a date range. |
| `dateEnd` | string | `""` | End of a date range. |
| `companyKeyword` | string | `""` | Company-name fragment filter. |
| `section` | string | `""` | BORME section filter: `A` or `B` (section C is not collected). |
| `maxItems` | integer | `1000` | Maximum corporate-act records. |

Use either `date` or both `dateStart` and `dateEnd`; ranges are limited to 31 days.

### Output

Each item includes `id`, `noticeId`, `date`, `section`, `province`, `registryNumber`, `company`, `capitalEur`, `actTypes`, `actDetails`, `sourceUrl`, `sourceQuery`, `source`, and `scrapedAt`.

Example record:

```json
{"id":"BORME-A-2026-09-04-123-456","date":"2026-09-04","section":"A","province":"BADAJOZ","registryNumber":"123456","company":"EJEMPLO SL","actTypes":["Nombramientos"],"source":"boe.es"}
```

### FAQ

**How fresh is the data?** Results are read from the official publication data for the selected date or range.

**Are weekends and holidays supported?** Days BOE reports as unavailable (its recognised 404 no-information envelope) are skipped; a 404 that is not that envelope (for example an HTML outage page) fails the run instead of reporting a silent zero.

**What scopes are supported?** Select a date, date range, company keyword, and optional section.

**Why is section C not collected?** Section C (anuncios y avisos legales) publishes free-text legal notices (board convocations, balance sheets, merger/escission notices). Its per-company detail pages carry no Registro Mercantil `articulo` entry — no registry number and no registered company split — so they cannot form the corporate-act records this dataset is built from. Sections A and B only.

**What if no acts match?** The Actor returns an empty dataset and the run summary (key-value store key `OUTPUT`) is labelled `status: "succeeded_empty"` with an `emptyReason` such as `BOE has no BORME sumario available for 2026-10-17` (a day BOE reports as unavailable) or `no items matched section B on 2026-09-04`. A malformed source answer, or a 404 that is not BOE's no-information envelope, fails the run instead of reporting a green zero.

# Actor input Schema

## `date` (type: `string`):

Single publication date (ISO YYYY-MM-DD), e.g. '2026-09-04'. Provide either this or a dateStart+dateEnd range.

## `dateStart` (type: `string`):

Start of the publication date window (ISO YYYY-MM-DD). Provide together with dateEnd; ranges are capped at 31 days per run.

## `dateEnd` (type: `string`):

End of the publication date window (ISO YYYY-MM-DD). Provide together with dateStart.

## `companyKeyword` (type: `string`):

Case-insensitive fragment matched against the company name, e.g. 'SL' is too broad — 'CONSTRUCCIONES' narrows. Minimum 3 characters.

## `section` (type: `string`):

BORME section filter: A = actos inscritos (default: A and B scraped, tagged per record), B = otros actos publicados. Section C (anuncios y avisos legales) is not collected: its detail pages carry free-text notices with no Registro Mercantil act entries.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many corporate-act records across the whole run.
