# Colombia SECOP Contracts + Supplier Company Profiles (`automatic/colombia-secop-scraper`) Actor

Search Colombia's public procurement system (SECOP II) for contract awards: buyers, suppliers, values, dates and process URLs. Each supplier is joined to its company registry record (legal name, status, CIIU activity, registration dates), with optional per-supplier award summaries.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Colombia SECOP Contracts + Supplier Company Profiles

Batch-join contract suppliers to the public RUES company registry (`c82u-588k`) by normalized NIT. `supplierRegistry` preserves all matching registrations, with legal name, status, CIIU, registration/renewal dates (ISO dates); city is not published by this registry. `registryMatchMethod` is null for unmatched rows. Non-NIT supplier documents are excluded. Enable `supplierSummary` for additional rows containing award count, COP total, top buyers and share of collected value.

Example: `{"supplier":"890900608","dateFrom":"2026-01-01","dateTo":"2026-10-30","maxResults":100,"enrichRegistry":true,"supplierSummary":true}`.

Summaries require a complete selected window for window-wide conclusions. `windowComplete:false` and `coverage:partial` mean the cap or deadline stopped collection. Increase maxResults or narrow the date window; a full capped page is conservatively partial. Shares include all collected contract value in the denominator, including suppliers without usable NITs.

Enrichment is enabled by default and can be disabled with `enrichRegistry`: false. Every existing base field keeps its meaning. Extra-source failure leaves base rows with null enrichment and an unavailable status. Public registry records can be stale, duplicated across chambers, or absent; they do not verify tax status. Matching strips punctuation and leading zeros; a tenth digit is removed only when it validates as the check digit. No fuzzy name matching. City is not published by this registry and is null.

One output row is one default dataset-item charge, including source-status notes and optional supplier summaries. No custom charge events. Requests and retries share the actor deadline and reserve 20 seconds for output. Retry-After is honored in full; empty results are requested twice before confirmation.

### Quick Start

Find awarded Colombian government contracts in official public registry data.
Use it for procurement research, supplier discovery, and market analysis.
Paste this input to start:

```json
{"keyword": "computador"}
```

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---:|---|
| `keyword` | string | `""` | Contract-object text fragment. |
| `buyer` | string | `""` | Buyer entity-name fragment. |
| `supplier` | string | `""` | Supplier NIT or name fragment. |
| `contractId` | string | `""` | Exact SECOP contract identifier. |
| `dateFrom` | string | `""` | Inclusive signing-date start. |
| `dateTo` | string | `""` | Inclusive signing-date end. |
| `maxResults` | integer | `100` | Maximum contracts returned (1–5000), excluding extra summary rows. |
| `enrichRegistry` | boolean | `true` | Join supplier company registrations; fall back to contract rows on failure. |
| `supplierSummary` | boolean | `false` | Append charged supplier summary rows with coverage flags. |

All filters are optional. Dates must be supplied together in `YYYY-MM-DD` format.

### Output

Each item includes `contractKey`, `idContrato`, `referenciaContrato`, `idProceso`, `buyerNit`, `buyerName`, `departamento`, `ciudad`, `supplierDocType`, `supplierNit`, `supplierName`, `amount`, `currency`, `amountPaid`, `signedAt`, `startDate`, `endDate`, `objeto`, `tipoContrato`, `modalidad`, `estado`, `url`, `sourceQuery`, `source`, and `scrapedAt`.

Example record:

```json
{"contractKey":"datos.gov.co:contrato:CO1.PCCNTR.3524727","idContrato":"CO1.PCCNTR.3524727","buyerName":"MINISTERIO DE EDUCACION","supplierName":"EJEMPLO SAS","amount":125000000,"currency":"COP","estado":"En ejecución","source":"datos.gov.co"}
```

### FAQ

**How fresh is the data?** Results are retrieved from the public contracts dataset when the run executes.

**What scopes are supported?** Filter by keyword, buyer, supplier, contract ID, and signing-date range.

**What is returned without filters?** The most recently signed contracts, excluding unpublished drafts.

**What happens if a request takes too long?** The Actor retries temporary service failures and reports a successful run with an explanatory note if the query cannot be completed.

## `dateTo` (type: `string`):

End of the contract-signing date window (ISO YYYY-MM-DD). Provide together with dateFrom.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many award records (the Actor pages through the mirror 1000 rows at a time).

## `enrichRegistry` (type: `boolean`):

Optional extra source; unavailable enrichment preserves base rows.

## `supplierSummary` (type: `boolean`):

Summaries cover collected rows; windowComplete is false when capped.
