## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Used-Goods and Services Listings from Segundamano Peru

### Quick Start

Collect public classifieds listings from Segundamano.pe, Peru's used-goods and services marketplace.
Browse by category or subcategory, search for a keyword, and optionally enrich each listing with its public detail page.
Useful for price research, offer discovery, and classifieds datasets.
Run with this minimal input:

```json
{"search":"iphone","maxPages":1,"maxResults":30}
```

### Input

| Name | Type | Default | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `search` | string | empty | Keyword search. When set, it replaces the selected categories. |
| `subcategory` | string | empty | Narrower subcategory (e.g. `laptops`, `cars`, `rentals`); overrides `categories`. |
| `categories` | array | `["used-goods","services"]` | Categories to browse, e.g. `phones-tablets`, `electronics`, `jobs`, `fashion-beauty`, `property`, `services`, `vehicles`. |
| `region` | string | empty | Optional region filter, e.g. `LIMA` or `CUSCO`. Blank = all regions. |
| `maxPages` | integer | `1` | Pages per category or search, from 1 to 5. |
| `maxResults` | integer | `50` | Maximum listings, from 1 to 200. |
| `requestDelaySecs` | number | `1` | Delay between page requests, from 0.5 to 10 seconds. |
| `includeDetails` | boolean | `false` | Add public detail-page fields: description, seller name and contact, gallery, and posted date. |

### Output

Each item includes `id`, `listingKey`, `url`, `title`, `category`, `region`, `price`, `currency`, `relativeDate`, `conditionBadge`, `imageUrl`, `source_query`, `source`, and `collectedAt`. With `includeDetails` enabled, items may also include `description`, `sellerName`, `sellerContact`, `additionalImageUrls`, and `postedAt`.

Example record:

```json
{"id":"110","listingKey":"segundamano.pe:110","title":"iPhone 13 128GB","price":2500,"currency":"PEN","category":"search","region":"LIMA","relativeDate":"Hace 2 días","url":"https://segundamano.pe/110_iphone-13.htm"}
```

### FAQ

**How fresh are the results?** Listings are collected during each run, with each record's collection timestamp included.

**What can I search?** Any of the site's public categories and subcategories, or a free-text keyword search.

**Can I limit results to my region?** Yes — set `region` to a Peruvian region such as `LIMA`; spelling must match the site's region names.

**What are the limits?** Up to 5 pages per category or search and 200 listings overall per run.

**What happens if a detail page is unavailable?** The listing is kept and the optional detail fields are left empty.

For help, contact Apify support and include the Actor run ID.
