## Pricing

from $0.14 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Maps Reviews Scraper

### What is Google Maps Reviews Scraper?

**Google Maps Reviews Scraper** is a tool that lets you **scrape reviews from Google Maps places**: star rating, review text and its translation, publish date, likes, reviewer name and profile, Local Guide badge, and the owner's reply. Paste Google Maps place links or place IDs, click **Start**, and download the reviews as Excel, CSV or JSON.

- ⚡ **Speed:** 1,000 reviews of a New York hotel in about 20 seconds (our test)
- 🗂️ **Up to 50,000 reviews per place**, sorted the way you choose: most relevant, newest, highest or lowest rating
- 🌍 **Translations included:** reviews in other languages come with a translation into your language
- 🔓 **No login:** no Google account, cookies or API key needed
- 💸 **Free to try:** the $5 of free usage every Apify account gets each month covers about 10,000 reviews

### What can Google Maps Reviews Scraper do?

- **Scrape Google Maps reviews by place link**, copied from the address bar or a `maps.app.goo.gl` share link
- **Scrape Google reviews by place ID** (`ChIJ...`) or Maps feature ID (`0x...:0x...`)
- **Get the newest Google reviews** of a business to monitor recent feedback
- **Get the lowest-rated Google reviews** to find complaints fast
- **Get owner responses** to see how a business replies to its reviewers
- **Translate Google reviews** into English, Spanish, French, German or another language
- **Scrape reviews of many places in one run**, each with its own limit
- Export to Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML, or send the data to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier and more

### What data can you extract from Google Maps reviews?

| | | |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐ Star rating (1 to 5) | 💬 Review text | 🌐 Translation into your language |
| 🗣️ Review language | 📅 Publish date and time | 🕘 Relative date ("3 days ago") |
| 👍 Number of likes | 👤 Reviewer name | 🔗 Reviewer profile link and ID |
| 🖼️ Reviewer photo | 📝 Reviewer's review and photo counts | 🏅 Local Guide badge |
| 💼 Owner response text | 📆 Owner response date | 🔗 Direct link to the review |
| 📍 Place name and link | 🆔 Review ID and Maps feature ID | 🕰️ Time of the scrape |

### How to scrape Google Maps reviews

1. [Create a free Apify account](https://console.apify.com/sign-up) (no credit card needed).
2. Open **Google Maps Reviews Scraper**.
3. Paste one or more **Google Maps place URLs**, or add **Place IDs**.
4. Set **Maximum reviews per place** and a **Sort order**, then click **Start**.
5. When the run finishes, download your reviews as Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML.

#### How to get a place link

Open [Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps), search for the place, and copy the URL from the address bar. Short share links (for example `maps.app.goo.gl/...`) work too, and so do the place links from [Google Maps Scraper](https://apify.com/automly/google-maps-scraper) (`?q=place_id:...`).

### How much does it cost to scrape Google Maps reviews?

You pay per review, and the price drops on higher Apify plans:

| Apify plan | Reviews per 1,000 |
|---|---|
| Free | **$0.50** |
| Starter (Bronze) | **$0.40** |
| Scale (Silver) | **$0.30** |
| Business (Gold) and higher | **$0.25** |

Platform usage is included in these prices, so there is nothing else to pay for a run.

Example: 1,000 reviews cost $0.50 on the Free plan and $0.25 on Business.

Every Apify account gets **$5 of free usage each month**, so you can try it at no cost. See the **Pricing** tab for details. **Maximum reviews per place** keeps the cost of each run under control.

### ⬇️ Input

Add places through **Google Maps place URLs**, **Place IDs**, or both in the same run. Each place gets its own review limit.

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Google Maps place URLs | Place links from the address bar, share links (`maps.app.goo.gl/...`) or place links from Google Maps Scraper |
| Place IDs | Google place IDs (`ChIJ...`) or Maps feature IDs (`0x...:0x...`, the value after `!1s` in a place link) |
| Maximum reviews per place | How many reviews to collect from each place, 1 to 50,000 (default 100). Two places with 100 give up to 200 reviews |
| Sort order | Most relevant (Google Maps' default order), Newest, Highest rating or Lowest rating |
| Include owner responses | Add the business owner's public reply when there is one (on by default) |
| Include reviewer profile | Add the reviewer's profile link, ID, photo, review and photo counts, and Local Guide badge (on by default) |
| Language | Two-letter language code, such as `en`, `es`, `fr` or `de` (default `en`). Dates are shown in this language, and reviews in other languages come with a translation into it |
| Country | Two-letter country code for the result market, such as `us`, `gb` or `fr` (default `us`) |
| Connection settings | The default works for most runs |

  "collectedAt": "2026-10-02T11:39:33Z"

```
A review written in another language keeps its original `text` and gets `textTranslated`, for example a Spanish review "Excelente hotel. Y está cerca de todo. Lo recomiendo." comes with "Excellent hotel. And it's close to everything. I recommend it." Fields a review does not have, such as an owner response or text on a rating-only review, are `null`, so every row has the same shape.
Each run also saves a short report with the number of places and reviews, and any place that could not be scraped with the reason, for example "no reviews found: the place has none, or does not exist". The run status sums it up, such as "200 reviews from 3/3 sources (1 not found)".
### How can I use Google Maps reviews data?
- **Reputation monitoring:** follow what customers say about your locations and reply faster
- **Competitor research:** see what people praise and complain about at rival businesses nearby
- **Local market research:** compare ratings and review volume across a city or a chain's branches
- **Sentiment analysis and AI:** build review datasets for sentiment, topic or trend analysis
- **Customer service audits:** check how often, and how, owners reply to bad reviews
### How to monitor new Google Maps reviews
1. Set **Sort order** to **Newest**.
2. Set **Maximum reviews per place** high enough to cover the reviews a place gets between two runs.
3. [Schedule the actor](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) to run every day or every week.
Each run gives you the latest reviews first. Use `reviewId` to skip reviews you already have, and send the new ones to Slack, email or a spreadsheet with an [integration](https://apify.com/integrations).
### Use it from your own code
Run the actor from your code with the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) or the Python client:
```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient

client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("automly/google-maps-reviews-scraper").call(run_input={
    "placeIds": ["0x89c25854a7ae21ef:0x6b416e49f061609c"],
    "maxReviews": 1000,
    "sort": "newest",
})
for review in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(review["rating"], review["publishedAt"], review["text"])
```
### Scrape more Google Maps and review data
| [Tripadvisor Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/automly/tripadvisor-reviews-scraper) | Hotel, restaurant and attraction reviews with ratings and owner replies |
| [Trustpilot Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/automly/trustpilot-reviews-scraper) | Company reviews with ratings, text, reviewer country and company replies |
| [Booking.com Hotel Scraper](https://apify.com/automly/booking-scraper) | Hotel prices, guest ratings, room types and taxes for a destination and dates |
| [Website Email Scraper](https://apify.com/automly/website-email-scraper) | Email addresses from a business website and its contact pages |
### ❓FAQ
#### How much does it cost to scrape Google Maps reviews?
From $0.50 per 1,000 reviews on the Free plan down to $0.25 on Business, with platform usage included. See the cost section above and the **Pricing** tab.
#### How many reviews can I scrape from one place?
Up to 50,000 per place, as many as Google Maps shows for it. Set **Maximum reviews per place** to the number you need.
#### Do I need a Google account or API key?
No. You don't need a Google account, cookies or a Google Places API key.
#### Why is the review text empty on some rows?
Some people leave only a star rating. Those reviews come with their rating, date and reviewer, and `text` is `null`. In our test of 1,000 newest reviews for a New York hotel, about 3 in 10 were rating-only.
#### Why are the place name and place link empty?
`placeName` and `placeUrl` are filled when you add the place as a Google Maps link. When you add a bare place ID, they stay empty; use `featureId` to tell places apart.
#### Can I get reviews in another language?
Set **Language** to a two-letter code such as `de`. Dates are shown in that language, and reviews written in any other language come with `textTranslated`, a translation into it.
#### What happens if a place has no reviews or the link is wrong?
The place is listed as not found in the run status and the report, and the run still succeeds with the reviews from your other places.
#### Can I connect Google Maps Reviews Scraper to other tools or AI agents?
Yes. Start runs and download results with the Apify API or the Python and JavaScript clients, send results to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets or Slack with Apify integrations and webhooks, or let AI assistants and agents run it through the Apify MCP server at [mcp.apify.com](https://mcp.apify.com).
#### Is it legal to scrape Google Maps reviews?
This scraper only collects reviews that people chose to post publicly. It does not collect private data such as email addresses or phone numbers. Reviews still contain personal data, such as reviewer names and photos, which may be protected by laws such as GDPR, so only scrape it for a legitimate reason and ask a lawyer if you are unsure. If you don't need reviewer details, turn off **Include reviewer profile**. You can read more in [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)
Google Maps Reviews Scraper is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google.
# Actor input Schema
## `startUrls` (type: `array`):
One or more Google Maps place links. Open a place in Google Maps and copy the address bar URL, or paste a share link (maps.app.goo.gl/...) or a place link from the Google Maps Scraper (?q=place_id:...). Each place is read on its own.
## `placeIds` (type: `array`):
Optional Google place IDs (ChIJ...) or Maps feature IDs (0x...:0x..., the value after '!1s' in a place URL). Use this when you already have IDs.
## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):
How many reviews to collect from each place (1-50,000). Each place gets its own limit: 2 places with 100 give up to 200 reviews. Lower values finish faster and cost less.
## `sort` (type: `string`):
Order in which reviews are collected. 'Most relevant' mirrors the default Google Maps ordering; 'Newest' is best for monitoring recent feedback.
## `includeOwnerResponses` (type: `boolean`):
When enabled, the business owner's public reply to a review is included in the record when one is present.
## `includeReviewerProfile` (type: `boolean`):
When enabled, the reviewer's public profile link and identifier are included alongside their display name when available.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Two-letter language code (for example: en, es, fr, de, pt). Dates are shown in this language, and reviews written in another language also come with a translation into it (textTranslated).
## `country` (type: `string`):
Two-letter country code for the result market (for example: us, gb, fr, de, in).
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Connection settings. Leave the default.
