## Pricing

from $0.55 / 1,000 answers

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Quora Scraper - Questions, Answers & Profiles by Keyword

### What is Quora Scraper?

**Quora Scraper** is a tool that lets you **scrape questions, answers and public profiles from Quora by keyword or link**: the full text of every answer with upvotes, views, shares, comments, dates and the author's name and credential; question details with answer count, followers and topics; and profiles with followers, answer counts and content views. Add a keyword or Quora links, click **Start**, and download the data as Excel, CSV or JSON.

- ⚡ **Fast:** over 2,000 answers a minute, a 500-answer question read in full in about 10 seconds (our tests)
- 🔎 **Keyword search:** type a topic and get the Quora questions about it, with all their answers
- 📚 **Every answer on the page:** not just the first few a visitor sees, read to the end of the list
- 👤 **Author details on every answer:** name, credential, photo, profile link and verified badge
- 🔓 **No login:** no Quora account needed
- 💸 **Free to try:** the $5 of free usage every Apify account gets each month covers about 6,200 answers

### What can Quora Scraper do?

- **Search Quora questions by keyword** and get the questions about it, often 100 to 200 per keyword, with their answers or details
- **Scrape all answers to a Quora question**, with full text, upvotes, views, shares, comments and dates
- **See who wrote each answer:** the author's name, credential ("MA Physics, University of Oxford"), photo and profile link
- **Tell answers apart:** each answer says whether it was written for this question, for a duplicate question Quora merged into it, or for a related question (keep only the first two with one switch), and whether Quora's AI assistant wrote it
- **Scrape Quora question details:** title, number of answers, followers, comments and topics
- **Scrape Quora profiles:** followers, following, number of answers, questions and posts, all-time and last-month content views, work, education, location, Top Writer years and the topics a person knows about
- **Scrape a Quora user's latest answers and questions** from their profile link
- **Paste any Quora link:** a question, an answer (its question is read) or a profile, and old links of merged questions lead to the live question
- Export to Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML, or send the data to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier and more

### How to scrape Quora

1. [Create a free Apify account](https://console.apify.com/sign-up) (no credit card needed).
2. Open **Quora Scraper**.
3. Pick what to scrape: **Answers**, **Questions** or **Profiles**.
4. Type search keywords, or paste Quora question or profile links, one per line.
5. Click **Start**, then download the data as Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML.

### How much does it cost to scrape Quora answers and questions?

You pay only for the rows you get, with one price per kind of row:

| Apify plan | Answers per 1,000 | Profiles per 1,000 | Questions per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.80 | $2.00 | $1.50 |
| Starter (Bronze) | $0.72 | $1.80 | $1.35 |
| Scale (Silver) | $0.64 | $1.60 | $1.20 |
| Business (Gold) and higher | $0.55 | $1.40 | $1.05 |

Platform usage is included in these prices, so you pay nothing else. For example, 1,000 answers cost $0.80 on the Free plan and $0.55 on Business, and 100 profiles cost $0.20 on the Free plan. **Max results per question or profile** keeps the cost of a run under control, and you can also set a maximum cost per run.

Every Apify account gets **$5 of free usage each month**. See the **Pricing** tab for details.

### ⬇️ Input

| Setting | What it does |

`source` is the keyword or link the row came from. `answerTo` says how an answer stands to the question it was listed under: `this question`, `same question` (written for a duplicate that Quora merged into it) or `related question` (Quora lists answers to similar questions on the same page). Question rows read from a profile have no `topics`.

### How can I use Quora data?

- **Market and audience research:** what people ask and say about a product, a brand or a problem, in their own words
- **Content ideas and SEO:** the questions people ask in your niche and the answers that get the most views and upvotes
- **Find experts and influencers:** the people who write the most-viewed answers on a topic, with their credentials and followers
- **Training and analysis data:** long-form, human-written answers with engagement numbers, for sentiment, topic or quality analysis
- **Brand monitoring:** track the answers on questions about your company or competitors over time
- **Lead generation:** profiles of active writers in your field, with work, education and location

### How many results can I get?

- **Questions per keyword:** often 100 to 200 for a popular topic, a handful for a very narrow one. Use several related keywords to find more.
- **Answers on a question:** every answer the question page lists, to the end of the list (hundreds on popular questions).
- **A person's answers or questions:** Quora shows visitors about the 40 latest answers and 40 latest questions of each profile.
- **Profiles and question details:** one row per link.
- Each answer is saved once per link.

### ❓FAQ

#### How much does it cost to scrape Quora?

Answers cost $0.80, questions $1.50 and profiles $2.00 per 1,000 on the Free plan, with lower prices on paid plans. See **How much does it cost to scrape Quora answers and questions?** above.

#### How many answers can I scrape from Quora?

Every answer a question page lists, to the end of the list (hundreds on popular questions). A keyword often finds 100 to 200 questions for a popular topic. For a profile, Quora shows visitors about the 40 latest answers and 40 latest questions.

#### Do I need a Quora account?

No. You get the same public answers, questions and profiles without signing in.

#### Can I search Quora by keyword?

Yes. Add keywords under **Search keywords**: each one finds the Quora questions about it, and you get their answers (**Answers**) or the questions themselves (**Questions**). Every row's `source` is the keyword it came from. Results can differ a little from Quora's own search.

#### Why are there more answers than the question's answer count?

A Quora question page also lists answers written for duplicate and related questions. Each row says which with `answerTo`. Turn off **Include answers to related questions** to drop the related ones.

#### Does it work with Quora in other languages or Spaces?

It reads English Quora (www.quora.com). Answers posted in Spaces are included when they appear on a question or profile, with the Space name.

#### Can I call it as an API?

Yes. Run it through the Apify API from any language, or use its real-time API, `/answers?url=<question link>` or `/answers?query=<keyword>`, `/questions?url=<question or profile link>` or `/questions?query=<keyword>` and `/profiles?url=<profile link>`, which answers with the rows directly.

#### Can I connect Quora Scraper to other tools or AI agents?

Yes. Start runs and download results with the Apify API or the Python and JavaScript clients, send results to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets or Slack with Apify integrations and webhooks, or let AI assistants and agents run it through the Apify MCP server at [mcp.apify.com](https://mcp.apify.com).

#### Is it legal to scrape Quora?

This scraper only collects answers, questions and profiles that people chose to make public. It does not collect private data such as email addresses or private messages. Names, credentials and profile details are personal data, which may be protected by laws such as GDPR, so only scrape it for a legitimate reason and ask a lawyer if you are unsure. You can read more in [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)

Quora Scraper is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Quora.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Or paste Quora links, one per line: questions (https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-meaning-of-life), answers (the answer's question is read) or profiles (https://www.quora.com/profile/Adam-DAngelo).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
