## Pricing

from $0.25 / 1,000 tweets

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

2. Open **X (Twitter) Tweet Scraper**.
3. Paste one or more **tweet links or IDs**.
4. Click **Start**.
5. When the run finishes, download your tweets as Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML.

### ⬇️ Input

Tweets can be links from x.com or twitter.com (`https://x.com/NASA/status/2103243305685225779`, with or without `?s=20` and similar) or just the tweet ID (`2103243305685225779`).

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tweet URLs or IDs | The tweets to scrape, up to 10,000 per run |

Example:

```json
{
  "tweets": [
    "https://x.com/NASA/status/2103243305685225779",
    "https://twitter.com/SpaceX/status/2100334792646549729",
    "2089386212691763632"
  ]
}
```

### ⬆️ Output

You get one row per tweet. You can view them as a table in Apify Console or download them as Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML. A real row:

```json
{
  "id": "2089386212691763632",
  "url": "https://x.com/NASA/status/2089386212691763632",
  "text": "Learn more about our CHAPEA missions that simulate year-long stays on the surface of Mars: https://www.nasa.gov/humans-in-space/chapea/",
  "createdAt": "2026-08-17T16:17:46Z",
  "lang": "en",
  "authorUsername": "NASA",
  "authorName": "NASA",
  "authorFollowers": 92374533,
  "views": 1492341,
  "likes": 1390,
  "retweets": 182,
  "replies": 90,
  "quotes": 7,
  "bookmarks": 57,
  "isQuote": true,
  "links": ["https://www.nasa.gov/humans-in-space/chapea/"],
  "communityNote": null,
  "quotedTweet": {
    "id": "2089369033082577006",
    "url": "https://x.com/NASAJohnson/status/2089369033082577006",
    "text": "Celebrating 300 days “on” Mars! 🔴 ...",
    "authorUsername": "NASAJohnson",
    "likes": 520,
    "views": 1724082
  },
  "source": "https://x.com/NASA/status/2089386212691763632",
  "fetchedAt": "2026-09-25T00:35:50Z"
}
```

`source` is the link or ID you entered, so you can match rows to your input. Each run also saves a short report listing any tweet it could not scrape and why (for example, a deleted tweet).

### How can I use X (Twitter) tweet data?

- **Campaign reporting:** collect views, likes and reposts for every tweet in a campaign
- **Engagement tracking:** run the same list every day and chart how each tweet grows
- **Social listening:** enrich tweet links you found elsewhere with full text and author details
- **Fact-checking and research:** see which tweets carry a Community Note
- **Media collection:** get the photo and video links of tweets you need

### Real-time X (Twitter) tweet API

Need tweet details right away inside your app? Call the actor's API and get the rows back in the response, without starting a run:

```
GET https://<your-actor-standby-url>/tweet?url=https://x.com/NASA/status/2103243305685225779&url=2089386212691763632
Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>
```

You can also run the actor from your own code with the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) or the Python and JavaScript clients:

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("automly/x-twitter-tweet-scraper").call(run_input={
    "tweets": ["https://x.com/NASA/status/2103243305685225779"],
})
for tweet in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(tweet["views"], tweet["likes"], tweet["text"][:80])
```

### ❓FAQ

#### How much does it cost to scrape X (Twitter) tweets?

You pay only for the tweets you get, per 1,000 tweets. See the **Pricing** tab for the current price. Every Apify account gets $5 of free usage each month, so you can try it at no cost.

#### Is there a minimum number of tweets?

No. You can look up a single tweet. You only pay for the tweets you get.

#### Can I get the replies to a tweet?

No. X does not show the replies to a tweet to visitors who are not logged in, beyond the first few. You get the reply count of each tweet.

#### Why is a tweet missing from my results?

Deleted tweets, tweets from protected accounts, and tweets X marks as sensitive (which it only shows to logged-in users) can't be scraped. They are listed in the run report with the reason.

#### Do I need an X account?

No. You don't need an X account, cookies or an API key.

#### Is it legal to scrape X (Twitter)?

This scraper only collects tweets that people chose to make public. It does not collect private data such as email addresses or phone numbers. Tweets can still contain personal data, which may be protected by laws such as GDPR, so only scrape it for a legitimate reason and ask a lawyer if you are unsure. You can read more in [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)

X (Twitter) Tweet Scraper is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp.

#### Something isn't working. What should I do?

Open the **Issues** tab and tell us the tweet link and what you expected. We usually reply within a day.
