## Pricing

from $0.005 / small manifest snapshot

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Release Manifest Snapshot Generator

Create a deterministic baseline manifest from a known-good public static release,
then feed that manifest directly into Release Integrity & Deployment Auditor for
later deployment verification.

Unlike a generic URL hashing tool, this Actor snapshots a set of relative release
assets under one base URL and records decoded SHA-256, decoded/transfer sizes,
MIME type, content encoding, Cache-Control, CORS, ETag and Last-Modified.

The generated MANIFEST key-value-store record uses the exact schema consumed by
Release Integrity Auditor: baseUrl plus path, sha256, size and contentType.

Example input:

```
{
  "baseUrl": "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nodejs/node/v22.22.0/",
  "paths": ["LICENSE", "README.md"],
  "releaseId": "node-v22.22.0-snapshot",
  "concurrency": 4,
  "timeoutSecs": 30,
  "maxObjectDecodedMb": 16,
  "maxTotalDecodedMb": 10
}
```

### Safety and limits

Only public HTTP(S) targets are supported. URL credentials, private/reserved
addresses, transition/tunnel ranges and unsafe redirects are rejected. Each
redirect target is resolved and validated again. The Actor does not accept
cookies, arbitrary request headers, login credentials, proxy settings or browser
execution.

v0.1 supports at most 100 relative paths and 100 decoded MiB per run. Each asset
is capped at 64 decoded MiB. Queries, fragments, absolute paths and traversal in
asset paths are rejected.

### Pricing

Every run has a $0.00005 start event. A complete successful snapshot then uses
one scope-tier event:

- small: up to 20 assets and 10 decoded MiB — $0.005
- medium: up to 100 assets and 100 decoded MiB — $0.020

Incomplete snapshots still return diagnostics but do not emit a successful
snapshot event. The Actor checks the run spending limit before fetching assets.

### Support

Use the Issues tab on this Actor's Apify page with a run ID and a non-sensitive
minimal reproduction. Never post credentials or private URLs.

# Actor input Schema

## `baseUrl` (type: `string`):

Public HTTP(S) base URL. Paths are resolved relative to this URL.

## `paths` (type: `array`):

Relative public asset paths to snapshot. Queries, fragments, absolute paths, and traversal are rejected.

## `releaseId` (type: `string`):

Optional label copied into the generated manifest.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

Maximum simultaneous asset requests.

## `timeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Per-request timeout in seconds.

## `maxObjectDecodedMb` (type: `integer`):

Hard decoded-byte safety limit for one asset.

## `maxTotalDecodedMb` (type: `integer`):

Aggregate decoded-byte safety limit and billing tier selector.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "paths": [
        "LICENSE",
        "README.md"
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("axelhu/release-manifest-snapshot").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
