## Pricing

from $1.79 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### What does India MCA Company Scraper do?

India MCA Company Scraper is an India MCA API alternative that turns company identifiers into structured records. Give it Corporate Identification Numbers (CINs), company names or company page URLs and it returns the company master data that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) publishes: legal name, status, incorporation date, authorised and paid up capital, industry and NIC code, registered address, contact email, website, previous names and the list of current directors with their DIN.

The data is collected from public company pages on instafinancials.com. No login is needed and nothing is read from behind a login. Each record is one company, identified by its CIN, so results from several inputs can be merged without duplicates.

Typical jobs for this Indian company scraper:

1. Build B2B lead lists of Indian companies with email, website and registered address.
2. Run KYC and due-diligence checks: is the company Active, Strike Off or Amalgamated, who are the directors, how much capital is paid up.
3. Support lending and credit research with capital, balance sheet date and compliance flags.

### What data can you get from India MCA (MCA company data)?

Every record has the fields below. A field the page does not show is returned as `null` (or an empty list for `previousNames` and `directors`).

| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| `id` | CIN used as the record id | L22210MH1995PLC084781 |
| `companyName` | Registered company name | TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES LIMITED |
| `cin` | Corporate Identification Number | L22210MH1995PLC084781 |
| `listingStatus` | Listed or Unlisted | Listed |
| `rocOffice` | Registrar of Companies office | ROC Mumbai I |
| `status` | MCA company status | Active |
| `incorporationDate` | Incorporation date, ISO | 1995-01-19 |
| `ageYears` | Company age in years | 31.9 |
| `balanceSheetDate` | Latest filed balance sheet date, ISO | 2026-03-31 |
| `agmDate` | Last AGM date, ISO | 2026-06-09 |
| `industry` | Main line of business | Publishing; Printing And Reproduction Of Recorded Media |
| `nicCode` | NIC industry code | 22210 |
| `authorisedCapital` | Authorised capital in INR | 5650750000 |
| `paidUpCapital` | Paid up capital in INR | 3618087518 |
| `registrationNumber` | Registration number | 84781 |
| `companyCategory` | Company category | Company limited by shares |
| `companySubCategory` | Company sub category | Indian Non-Government Company |
| `companyClass` | Public, Private or One Person Company | Public Company |
| `activeCompliant` | Active compliance flag, null if not shown | ACTIVE compliant |
| `cirpStatus` | Insolvency process status, null if not shown | null |
| `email` | Company email registered with MCA | yn.sheth@tcs.com |
| `website` | Company website as shown | www.tcs.com |
| `registeredAddress` | Registered office address | 9TH FLOOR, NIRMAL BUILDING NARIMAN POINT, NA, MUMBAI, Maharashtra 400021, India |
| `lastUpdatedAt` | Date the site last synced with MCA, ISO | 2026-10-17 |
| `previousNames` | List of earlier company names | \[] |
| `directors` | Current directors (name, din, designation, appointmentDate, totalDirectorships, disqualified, dinDeactivated) | see Output |
| `searchTerm` | Name search term that found the company | null for CIN input |
| `sourceUrl` | Company page the record came from | https://www.instafinancials.com/company/tata-consultancy-services-limited-L22210MH1995PLC084781 |

Dates are ISO `YYYY-MM-DD`. Capital values are whole rupee amounts as numbers. `directors` is filled from a second page of the same company, so it is empty when `includeDirectors` is false.

### How to use India MCA Company Scraper

1. Open the Actor in Apify Console and choose the way you want to look companies up: CINs, company names or company page URLs. You can fill more than one field in the same run.
2. Leave `includeDirectors` on if you need directors, or switch it off for faster runs that only need master data.
3. Set `maxItems` to the number of companies you want at most. It is shared across all targets in the run.
4. Start the run. The Actor saves each company as soon as it is read, so you can watch the dataset fill.
5. Export the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML, or read it through the API.

Tips:

1. A CIN is 21 characters, for example `L22210MH1995PLC084781`. The first letter shows listed (L) or unlisted (U).
2. Name search returns at most 6 companies per term, matched alphabetically from the start of the name. Use a specific name such as `TATA CONSULTANCY`, not just `TATA`.
3. A CIN prefix such as `U72200KA2010PTC` can be put in `companyNames` to list companies that share that prefix.
4. The site shows a human-check page when one IP sends many requests quickly. The Actor spaces its requests and never tries to solve that page; if it appears, the Actor waits and retries on another IP.

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `cins` | array of strings | One of the three target fields | 21-character CINs, one per line. A CIN that does not exist is skipped. |
| `companyNames` | array of strings | One of the three target fields | Company name search terms or CIN prefixes. Up to 6 matches per term. |
| `startUrls` | array of URLs | One of the three target fields | instafinancials.com company page URLs. The CIN is read from the URL. |
| `includeDirectors` | boolean | No | Also fetch directors, default true. Costs one extra request per company. |
| `maxItems` | integer | No | Maximum companies returned across all targets, 1-10000, default 50. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | No | Proxy settings. Default: Apify Proxy. |
| `minDelayMs` | integer | No | Minimum gap in milliseconds between requests on one IP, default 4000. |

```json
{
    "cins": ["L22210MH1995PLC084781", "L85110KA1981PLC013115"],
    "companyNames": ["ZOMATO"],
    "startUrls": [{"url": "https://www.instafinancials.com/company/x/U72200KA2010PTC052031"}],
    "includeDirectors": true,
    "maxItems": 50,
    "proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": true }
}
```

A target that cannot be found (unknown CIN, no name match) does not fail the run. The run ends SUCCEEDED, the status message says which input returned nothing, and a `RUN_SUMMARY` record in the key-value store lists the inputs that returned no company. Only input that can never work, such as giving no target at all, fails the run.

### Output

Real records from a run, shortened to two directors each. A struck-off company is returned just like an active one, with its last known status.

### How much does it cost to scrape India MCA company data?

India MCA Company Scraper is charged per result, which means per company record saved. You pay only for the records returned, and `maxItems` caps how many that can be. Companies that cannot be found are not charged. See the Pricing tab of this Actor for the current price.

### Use with AI agents (MCP)

Connect India MCA Company Scraper to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client through the Apify MCP server:

    "mcpServers": {
        "apify": {
            "url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=axiomworks/india-mca-company-scraper"
        }
    }
}
```
Example prompts:
1. "Look up the company with CIN L22210MH1995PLC084781 and tell me its status, paid up capital and directors."
2. "Search Indian companies named ZOMATO and list their CIN, status and registered address."
3. "Check whether these ten CINs are still Active or have been struck off, and give me the incorporation dates."
### Integrations and API
Run India MCA Company Scraper from your own code with the Apify API. Set `APIFY_TOKEN` to your Apify API token (send it in the `Authorization` header, never in the URL).
**Python**
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("axiomworks/india-mca-company-scraper").call(run_input={"cins": ["L22210MH1995PLC084781"], "includeDirectors": True, "maxItems": 50})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["companyName"], item["status"])
```

**JavaScript**

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('axiomworks/india-mca-company-scraper').call({ cins: ['L22210MH1995PLC084781'], includeDirectors: true, maxItems: 50 });
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

**cURL**

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/axiomworks~india-mca-company-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"cins": ["L22210MH1995PLC084781"], "includeDirectors": true, "maxItems": 50}'
```

The Integrations tab connects the dataset to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets and webhooks, and you can schedule runs to keep a company watchlist up to date.

### FAQ

**Which companies are covered?**
Companies registered in India that have a CIN, such as public listed, public unlisted, private, one person and struck-off companies. Limited liability partnerships (LLPs) use a different identifier and are not covered.

**How fresh is the data?**
Each record has `lastUpdatedAt`, the date the source site last synced that company with MCA. Old companies, for example struck-off ones, can have an older date than active listed companies.

**Why did my run return 0 results?**
The status message names the reason. Common causes are a CIN with a typo, a name search with no match, or a human-check page that kept appearing. Check the input, or retry later.

**Why does a name search return only a few companies?**
The source search returns at most 6 matches per term, alphabetically from the start of the name. Use a more specific name, or look the companies up by CIN.

**Why are some fields null?**
Not every company has an email, website or compliance flag on file. The Actor returns `null` instead of guessing.

**Do I need a proxy?**
Apify Proxy is on by default. Requests are spaced out and retried on a fresh IP if the site shows a human-check page.

**Can I get only master data without directors?**
Yes. Set `includeDirectors` to false. The `directors` list is then empty and the run needs half the requests.

### Is it legal to scrape India MCA data?

The Actor collects company information that is publicly available on the web without a login. Director names and DIN numbers are personal data in some jurisdictions; you are responsible for using them lawfully, including under data protection law such as the GDPR and India's data protection rules. Check the source site's terms and your own compliance needs. This is not legal advice.

India MCA Company Scraper is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by instafinancials.com or the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

# Actor input Schema

## `cins` (type: `array`):

21-character Corporate Identification Numbers to fetch, one per line, e.g. 'L22210MH1995PLC084781'. Each returns one company record. A CIN that does not exist is skipped and the run still ends SUCCEEDED. Share maxItems with the other two target fields.

## `companyNames` (type: `array`):

Company name search terms, e.g. 'TATA CONSULTANCY'. The site returns at most 6 companies per term, alphabetical prefix match, so give a specific name. A CIN prefix like 'U72200KA2010PTC' also works. Matches are returned as company records with searchTerm set.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

instafinancials.com company URLs, e.g. https://www.instafinancials.com/company/tata-consultancy-services-limited-L22210MH1995PLC084781 . The CIN is read from the URL. Plain URL strings are accepted too.

## `includeDirectors` (type: `boolean`):

When true (default) also fetches each company's directors page (one extra request per company) and fills the directors list with name, DIN, designation and appointment date. Set false for faster runs.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of companies to return across all targets, 1-10000, default 50. The run stops as soon as this many are saved; you are charged only for results returned.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy to use for requests, default Apify Proxy (datacenter). Switch to residential only if runs get blocked.

## `minDelayMs` (type: `integer`):

Minimum gap in milliseconds between two requests on the same IP, 0-30000, default 4000. The site shows a human-check page when one IP sends about 12 requests in 25 seconds, so lower values risk blocks.
