## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday & 7 more ATS

Get every open job straight from companies' own career sites. Paste career-page URLs, job-board links or just
company names. The actor finds which applicant-tracking system (ATS) each company uses and reads its public job feed
live. You get one clean format across 11 ATS, with country, remote/hybrid, seniority and salary filled in where
possible, filtered to the titles, places and dates you care about.

Supported ATS: **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Workable, Personio, Teamtailor,
Rippling, Breezy.**

Built for recruiters and sourcing teams tracking target companies, sales teams using hiring as a buying signal,
job boards and aggregators, and HR and labor-market analysts.

### What you get

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `title`, `company`, `department`, `team` | As published by the company |
| `url`, `applyUrl` | Job page and application link on the company's career site |
| `locations`, `countryCodes` | All listed locations; ISO country codes from the ATS or detected from the location text |
| `remote`, `workplaceType` | `remote` / `hybrid` / `on-site` from ATS fields or the title and location text |
| `seniority` | intern, junior, mid, senior, lead, director, executive (from the title) |
| `employmentType` | Full-time, part-time, contract… when the ATS provides it |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod`, `salarySource` | From the ATS (Ashby, Lever, Recruitee) or the first pay range in the description (`salarySource: "description"`) |
| `postedAt`, `updatedAt` | UTC ISO-8601 |
| `description` | Full job description as plain text (optional) |
| `ats`, `board`, `jobId` | Which ATS and board the job came from |
| `companyInput` | The line of your input this job belongs to |

A `SUMMARY` record in the run's key-value store lists every input with the detected ATS and board, its status, the
number of jobs on the board and how many matched your filters.

### Company directory: search across thousands of companies

Don't have a company list? Pick ATS in **Scan the company directory** and the actor scans our directory of companies
with live job boards on them (biggest boards first) with your title, location and country filters. For example: every
data-engineer opening in Germany across the largest 2,000 Greenhouse and Ashby companies. The directory is built from
public web-crawl data and open lists and checked for live boards; `directoryMaxBoards` caps how many boards a run scans.

### Use cases

- **Recruiting and sourcing:** watch 200 target companies daily for new engineering or sales roles in your markets.
- **Sales intelligence:** companies hiring for "Salesforce administrator" or "data engineer" are buying signals;
  feed them to your CRM.
- **Job boards and newsletters:** fresh, direct-from-employer listings with apply links, salary and remote flags.
- **Labor-market research:** compare hiring by department, country, seniority and pay across a peer group.

### Scheduling and integrations

Schedule a daily run with `postedWithinDays: 1` to get only new postings, then send them to Google Sheets, Slack,
your ATS or CRM with Apify integrations, webhooks or the API (`/v2/datasets/{id}/items?format=json|csv|xlsx`).

### Use it from AI assistants

The actor works as a tool in AI agents through the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`): "list open ML
engineer roles at OpenAI, Anthropic and Mistral" runs it and reads the dataset.

### FAQ

**Which companies work?** Any company whose careers page runs on one of the 11 supported ATS. If a company is not
found, the `SUMMARY` record says so; paste the URL of one of its job postings or its job board instead of the name.

**How are company names matched?** The actor tries the name as a board on each ATS and keeps the first one with open
jobs. Different companies can share a name, so check `ats` and `board` in the output, or use URLs for exact matches.

**How fresh is the data?** Live: every run reads the companies' job boards at that moment.

**Why is salary empty for some jobs?** Many companies do not publish pay. Salary comes from structured ATS fields or
the first clear pay range in the description; outside pay-transparency regions it is often absent.

**Is this legal?** The actor reads the public job feeds that power companies' own career pages. You are responsible
for how you use the data.

**Where does the company directory come from?** Common Crawl web-crawl data plus open lists: the Hugging Face dataset
`latmay/ats-career-page-urls` (CC BY 4.0), `kalil0321/ats-scrapers` (MIT) and the Feashliaa job-board lists (MIT). Every
board was checked for live jobs before it was added.

**Something wrong or missing (another ATS)?** Open an issue on the actor page. Issues are read and answered.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Companies to read, one per line: a company's career-page URL (https://www.figma.com/careers), an ATS job-board URL (https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite) or just a company name (Datadog). Supported ATS: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Workable, Personio, Teamtailor, Rippling, Breezy. URLs are the most precise; names are matched to the first ATS with a board of that name. Optional when you scan the company directory below.

## `directoryAts` (type: `array`):

Also scan our directory of companies with live job boards on these ATS (no need to list companies). Boards are scanned biggest first, alternating between the selected ATS. Combine with title/location filters below.

## `directoryMaxBoards` (type: `integer`):

How many directory company boards to scan per run (each scanned board is billed as one 'board scanned' event).

## `directoryMinJobs` (type: `integer`):

Skip directory companies with fewer open jobs than this (as of the last directory refresh).

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words or phrases (case-insensitive, whole words). Empty = all titles.

## `titleExcludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these (e.g. intern, contract).

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location text contains any of these (e.g. London, New York, Remote).

## `countries` (type: `array`):

2-letter country codes (US, GB, DE, IN...). Country is taken from the ATS when it provides one, otherwise detected from the location text.

## `workplaceTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep remote, hybrid and/or on-site jobs. Detected from ATS fields or the title/location text.

## `seniority` (type: `array`):

Seniority detected from the job title.

## `departmentKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose department or team contains any of these (e.g. Engineering, Sales).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days (empty = any age). Jobs without a posting date are kept.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full description as plain text. Turn off for smaller, faster output.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Optional cap per company (after filters).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to return in total. You are charged per job.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed: the ATS job APIs are public. Set one only if a board blocks your runs.
