# DoorDash Address & Place Autocomplete (`axlymxp/doordash-store-scraper`) Actor

Look up places and addresses in DoorDash's own autocomplete: business name, full address, latitude/longitude and a DoorDash place token for each suggestion, biased to any coordinates. Anonymous, no login. Returns a few top suggestions per search text, not full store menus.

## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 dataset items

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## DoorDash Address & Place Autocomplete

Look up places and street addresses through DoorDash's own address autocomplete, the same suggestion service the DoorDash consumer app uses when you type into the delivery-address box. Each search text returns the top suggestions with the business or place name, full address, GPS coordinates, country and a DoorDash place token (not a Google Place ID). No login and no API key.

This Actor returns **location suggestions**, not store menus, ratings or opening hours. It is a good fit when you need DoorDash-recognised business locations or addresses near a point.

### Output fields

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `query` | The search text the row answers |
| `name` | Business or place name as DoorDash shows it (for plain addresses this is the street address) |
| `address` | Full formatted address |
| `addressParts` | Name and address split into display segments |
| `latitude`, `longitude` | GPS coordinates |
| `googlePlaceId` | Place ID token returned by DoorDash for the suggestion (opaque; the value can differ between calls for the same place) |
| `countryCode` | Two-letter country code |
| `addressTypes`, `geoAddressId` | Extra tags DoorDash sometimes provides (often empty) |

### Use cases

- Find the locations of a chain (for example "Starbucks") around a city centre.
- Validate or normalise address text and get coordinates for it.
- Build a list of businesses near a point, one search text per category ("pizza", "coffee", "pharmacy").

### Input

- `queries`: one or more search texts. Each returns up to a few suggestions (3 in our test runs).
- `latitude` / `longitude`: optional point to bias suggestions towards. Set both or neither. Without them DoorDash biases the results by the IP location of the run, which differs between runs, so set a point when you care about the area.
- `proxyConfiguration`: optional.

Older integrations that send a single `query` (and `radius`) still work; `radius` has no effect on DoorDash's side.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "queries": ["pizza", "Starbucks"],
  "latitude": 40.7128,
  "longitude": -74.006
}
```

#### Example output row

```json
{
  "query": "pizza",
  "name": "Little Italy Pizza",
  "address": "11 Park Pl, New York, NY 10007, USA",
  "addressParts": ["Little Italy Pizza", "11 Park Pl, New York, NY 10007, USA"],
  "latitude": 40.713142971508205,
  "longitude": -74.00824405252934,
  "googlePlaceId": "AbK5e_...",
  "countryCode": "US",
  "addressTypes": [],
  "geoAddressId": null
}
```

### Scheduling and integrations

Run it on a schedule from the Apify Console, trigger it with a webhook, or call it from the Apify API and the official clients. Results are available as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML.

### FAQ

**Does it return restaurant menus or reviews?** No. Only place and address suggestions.

**Why only a few results per search?** DoorDash's autocomplete returns a short list per request. Add more search texts to widen coverage.

**Why does a search return nothing?** Some texts have no match near the chosen point (for example a US street address with a point in another country). Those searches are logged and skipped.

**Is it affiliated with DoorDash?** No. It uses the public guest endpoints of the DoorDash consumer app. Use the data in line with the applicable terms and laws.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One or more texts to look up, for example a business name ("pizza", "Starbucks") or a street address ("350 5th Ave"). Each text returns up to a few suggestions. (Legacy single-text input 'query' is still accepted by the code.)

## `latitude` (type: `number`):

Bias suggestions towards this point. Set together with longitude. Without it DoorDash biases by the server's IP location, which varies between runs.

## `longitude` (type: `number`):

Bias suggestions towards this point. Set together with latitude.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Leave empty for a direct connection.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "pizza",
    "Starbucks"
  ],
  "latitude": 40.7128,
  "longitude": -74.006
}
```

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("axlymxp/doordash-store-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
