## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## eBay Sold Listings Scraper — Sold Prices & Comps

See what things actually sold for on eBay, not what sellers are asking. Enter keywords (or paste an eBay search URL) and get
every sold listing with sold date, sold price, shipping, total price, condition, sale type (auction with bid count, accepted
best offer or Buy It Now), item location and a link to the item. Works on 12 eBay sites (US, UK, Germany, France, Italy,
Spain, Canada, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Ireland), with prices in each site's currency.

Every search also gets a free **price summary**: median, average, min/max, 25th/75th percentile, sales per day and the mix of
auctions, best offers and Buy It Now sales, saved next to the results.

Built for resellers and flippers, trading-card and sneaker traders, pawn shops and buy-back businesses, pricing and repricing
tools, and market researchers who need real transaction prices.

- **Resellers and flippers:** price what you buy at thrift stores, auctions and estate sales on what it really sells for, and
  see how fast it sells (`soldPerDay`).
- **Trading cards, sneakers, watches, LEGO:** track graded-card and collectible comps by grade or set number over time.
- **Pawn shops, buy-back and trade-in businesses:** set offer prices from the median and 25th percentile of recent sales.
- **Pricing tools and repricers:** feed real transaction prices into your app on a schedule.
- **Market research:** compare prices across eBay countries, conditions and auction vs. Buy It Now.

### Input

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `searchQueries` | Keywords, one per line. eBay operators work: `"exact phrase"`, `-exclude` |
| `marketplace` | eBay site: com, co.uk, de, fr, it, es, ca, com.au, at, ch, nl, ie |
| `maxItemsPerQuery` | Sold listings per query, up to 10,000 (240 per eBay page) |
| `titleMustContainAllWords` | Keep only titles containing every keyword (eBay's search also returns related models). Skipped rows are free |
| `soldWithinDays` | Only sales from the last N days |
| `condition` | Any, new, open box, refurbished, used, for parts |
| `buyingFormat` | Any, auction, Buy It Now, accepts offers |
| `minPrice`, `maxPrice`, `categoryId` | Price range and eBay category ID |
| `sort` | Recently sold (default), price high to low, price low to high, best match |
| `startUrls` | eBay search URLs instead of keywords (keeps the filters set on eBay; sold filter added automatically) |
| `includeSummary` | Save the per-query price summary (default on; computed from the first 5,000 sold listings of a query) |

#### Example: used iPhone 13 comps from the last 30 days, exact model only

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["iphone 13 128gb -mini -pro"],
  "marketplace": "com",
  "condition": "used",
  "soldWithinDays": 30,
  "titleMustContainAllWords": true,
  "maxItemsPerQuery": 500
}
```

#### Example: PSA 10 card comps on eBay UK and an eBay search URL

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["charizard psa 10"],
  "marketplace": "co.uk",
  "startUrls": [{"url": "https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=pokemon+booster+box&_sacat=183456"}],
  "maxItemsPerQuery": 240
}
```

### Scheduling and integrations

Schedule a daily run per product list to build your own price history, and send rows to Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack or a
database with Apify integrations, webhooks or the API (`/v2/datasets/{id}/items?format=json|csv|xlsx`). The summary is at
`/v2/key-value-stores/{id}/records/SUMMARY`.

### Use it from AI assistants

The actor works as a tool for AI agents through the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`): "what does a used Nintendo
Switch OLED sell for on eBay Germany?" can run it and answer from the summary.

### FAQ

**How far back do sold listings go?** eBay shows about the last 90 days of sales (a few older multi-quantity listings appear too).
Use `soldWithinDays` to cut it shorter.

**Why do some results not match my keywords exactly?** That is eBay's own search, which also returns related items. Turn on
`titleMustContainAllWords`, add `-word` exclusions, or set a category ID.

**Why is `soldPrice` empty on some rows?** Multi-variation listings (sizes, colours) sold at a price range; `priceText` and
`isPriceRange` show it. Those rows are left out of the summary.

**Do I need a proxy?** No. If eBay blocks the run's IP, the actor switches to Apify Proxy automatically.

**Is this legal?** The actor reads publicly visible eBay search results. You are responsible for how you use the data and for
eBay's terms.

**Something wrong or missing?** Open an issue on the actor page. Issues are read and answered.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords to look up in eBay's sold (completed) listings, one per line. Each query gets its own results and its own price summary. eBay operators work: quotes for exact phrases, a minus sign to exclude words (e.g. iphone 13 -case).

## `marketplace` (type: `string`):

Which eBay site to search. Prices come in that site's currency.

## `maxItemsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many sold listings for each query (up to 10,000). One eBay results page holds 240 listings; popular products have 10,000+ sales in eBay's sold history.

## `titleMustContainAllWords` (type: `boolean`):

eBay also returns loosely related items (an 'iphone 13' search can include iPhone 14s). Turn this on to keep only listings whose title contains every word of the query (words after a minus sign are ignored). Skipped listings are not charged.

## `soldWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Only keep listings sold in the last N days (eBay keeps roughly the last 90 days of sales, plus some older multi-quantity listings).

## `condition` (type: `string`):

Filter by item condition.

## `buyingFormat` (type: `string`):

Only auctions, only Buy It Now, or only listings that accepted offers.

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Minimum sold price in the site's currency (whole units).

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Maximum sold price in the site's currency (whole units).

## `categoryId` (type: `string`):

Optional. Numeric eBay category ID to search in, e.g. 9355 (Cell Phones & Smartphones) or 183454 (CCG Individual Cards). Find it in the URL of an eBay category page.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Order of the results. 'Recently sold' gives the freshest comps.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Paste eBay search result URLs (…/sch/i.html?…) to reuse filters you set on eBay. The sold-items filter is added automatically; the filter fields above are not applied to URLs.

## `includeSummary` (type: `boolean`):

Saves median / average / min / max / 25th-75th percentile price, sales per day and sale-type mix for each query to the key-value store record SUMMARY (free, not a dataset row).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Works without a proxy; if eBay blocks the run's IP, the actor switches to Apify Proxy by itself.
