## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Pinterest Business Leads & Email Finder

Find businesses on Pinterest by keyword and get their **public contact email, phone number, website, street
address, follower count and monthly views** in one table. Type "wedding photographer", "interior designer" or
"bakery", and the actor searches Pinterest profiles, opens each one and returns the contact details the business
shows on its profile.

Built for agencies, B2B sales teams, wholesalers and marketers who want to reach the businesses and creators that
are active on Pinterest. No Pinterest account, cookies or browser needed.

### What you get

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `username`, `url` | `examplestudio`, `https://www.pinterest.com/examplestudio/` | Pinterest profile |
| `full_name` | `Example Studio - Wedding Photography` | display name |
| `contact_email` | `hello@examplestudio.com` | the public "Contact" email on business profiles |
| `contact_phone` | `+1 5551234567` | with country code when Pinterest has one |
| `website`, `domain_verified` | `https://examplestudio.com`, `true` | claimed website and whether Pinterest verified it |
| `address_street`, `address_city`, `address_region`, `address_postal_code`, `address_country` | `New York`, `NY`, `US` | only for businesses that show an address |
| `follower_count`, `following_count` | `82135` | |
| `monthly_views` | `123069` | the "monthly views" figure on the profile |
| `pin_count`, `board_count` | `11041`, `75` | |
| `about` | bio text | often contains location and services |
| `is_business`, `is_verified_merchant`, `verified_identity` | `true` | account flags |
| `last_pin_save_time`, `created_at` | | activity and account age |
| `has_email`, `has_phone` | `true` | easy filtering |
| `search_query` | `wedding photographer` | the keyword that found the profile |

How many profiles show an email depends on the niche. In our tests on the top business profiles for "wedding
photographer", "interior designer" and "bakery", about half showed an email, about a fifth a phone number, and all of
them a website.

### Use cases

- **Lead generation and outreach**: build lists of photographers, designers, florists, bakeries, Etsy sellers or
  coaches in a niche, with email and website.
- **Influencer and creator research**: rank profiles by followers and monthly views before pitching a collaboration.
- **Wholesale and B2B sales**: find shops and brands that sell products in your category.
- **Market mapping**: see which businesses are active on Pinterest for a keyword and how large their audience is.
- **CRM enrichment**: pass a list of Pinterest usernames or profile URLs and get their contact details and stats.

### Input

| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| `searchQueries` | Keywords to search Pinterest profiles for. Each keyword returns up to about 1,000 profiles (Pinterest's own limit). Use several specific keywords ("wedding photographer texas", "elopement photographer") to get more. |
| `profiles` | Optional usernames or profile URLs to look up directly. |
| `maxLeads` | Total rows to return. |
| `maxProfilesPerQuery` | How many search results to check per keyword (up to 1,000). |
| `onlyWithContact` | Only return profiles that show an email or phone. Profiles that are skipped are not charged. |
| `requireEmail` | Only return profiles that show an email. |
| `businessOnly` | Skip personal accounts (default on). |
| `minFollowers` | Skip small profiles. |
| `addressCountries` | Keep only businesses whose address is in these countries (only works for businesses that show an address). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Optional. Not needed in normal use. |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["wedding photographer", "elopement photographer"],
  "maxLeads": 500,
  "maxProfilesPerQuery": 500,
  "onlyWithContact": true,
  "minFollowers": 1000
}
```

#### Example output row

  "is_business": true,
  "contact_email": "hello@examplestudio.com",
  "contact_phone": "+1 5551234567",
  "address_city": "Austin",
  "address_region": "TX",
  "address_country": "US",
  "follower_count": 28907,
  "monthly_views": 71675,

}
```
(Values above are illustrative.)
### Scheduling and integrations
Run it on a schedule (weekly per niche, for example) from the Apify Console, and send new rows to Google Sheets,
HubSpot, Airtable, Make, Zapier or a webhook with Apify integrations. Re-running the same input after an interrupted
run resumes where it stopped.
### Use with AI assistants (MCP)
The actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server
(`https://mcp.apify.com`). Example prompt: "Find 50 interior designers on Pinterest with an email address and more
than 5,000 followers."
### FAQ
**Where does the email come from?** From the business profile itself: Pinterest business accounts can show a
contact email, phone and address on their profile. The actor reads only what the profile shows publicly. It does not
guess emails or visit other websites.
**Why do some rows have no email?** Not every business adds contact details. Turn on `onlyWithContact` or
`requireEmail` to receive only profiles that have them; skipped profiles are not charged.
**How many leads can I get per keyword?** Pinterest returns up to about 1,000 profiles per keyword search. Use more,
narrower keywords (add a city, style or product) to go further.
**Do I need a Pinterest account or cookies?** No.
**Is this legal?** The actor collects contact details that businesses publish on their public Pinterest profiles.
How you use them is up to you: follow the anti-spam and data-protection rules that apply to you (for example
GDPR and CAN-SPAM), and give people an easy way to opt out.
**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an issue on the actor's Issues tab and include the run link.
# Actor input Schema
## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):
Niche or business keywords to search Pinterest profiles for, e.g. "wedding photographer", "interior designer london", "bakery". Each keyword returns up to ~1,000 profiles (Pinterest's own limit).
## `profiles` (type: `array`):
Pinterest usernames or profile URLs to look up directly, e.g. "https://www.pinterest.com/marthastewart/" or "marthastewart".
## `maxLeads` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many rows in total. You are charged per row.
## `maxProfilesPerQuery` (type: `integer`):
How many search results to look up per keyword (Pinterest returns at most ~1,000).
## `onlyWithContact` (type: `boolean`):
Skip profiles that show neither a contact email nor a phone. Skipped profiles are not charged.
## `requireEmail` (type: `boolean`):
Skip profiles without a public contact email.
## `businessOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Skip personal accounts (only business accounts can show contact details).
## `minFollowers` (type: `integer`):
Skip profiles with fewer followers.
## `addressCountries` (type: `array`):
Keep only businesses whose profile address is in these countries (2-letter codes, e.g. US, GB). Only businesses that show an address can match, so this filter removes most rows.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Optional. Pinterest works without a proxy; add one only if you see repeated request failures.
