## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Pinterest Scraper - Pins, Boards & Profiles

Scrape **Pinterest pins, video pins, boards and profiles** from keyword search or Pinterest URLs. Get image and video
URLs, titles, descriptions, outbound links and domains, saves, repins, shares, comment counts, product names and
prices, pinner and board details, follower counts and monthly views. No Pinterest account, cookies or browser needed.

### What you get

Every row has a `type`: `pin`, `board` or `user`.

**Pins**

| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| `id`, `url` | pin ID and link |
| `title`, `description`, `alt_text` | text |
| `image_url`, `video_url`, `is_video`, `dominant_color` | full-size image; MP4/HLS URL for video pins |
| `link`, `domain`, `site_name` | the outbound link the pin points to |
| `saves`, `repin_count`, `share_count`, `comment_count`, `reaction_count` | engagement (saves, repins, shares and comment count need **Full pin details**) |
| `hashtags`, `annotations` | hashtags and Pinterest's topic tags (with **Full pin details**) |
| `product_name`, `product_price`, `product_price_value`, `product_currency` | for product pins (`"$115.00"`, `115.0`, `USD`) |
| `created_at`, `is_promoted` | |
| `pinner_username`, `pinner_name`, `pinner_followers` | who pinned it |
| `board_id`, `board_name`, `board_url` | where it is saved |

**Boards**: `name`, `url`, `description`, `pin_count`, `follower_count`, `section_count`, `owner_username`,
`owner_followers`, `created_at`, `cover_image_url`.

**Profiles**: `username`, `full_name`, `about`, `website`, `domain_verified`, `follower_count`, `following_count`,
`monthly_views`, `pin_count`, `board_count`, `is_business`, `is_verified_merchant`, `last_pin_save_time`,
`created_at`.

Every row also has `source` (the keyword or URL that produced it) and `scraped_at`. The dataset has three views:
Pins, Boards and Profiles.

### Use cases

- **Content and trend research**: see which pins rank for a keyword and how many saves they get.
- **Competitor and brand monitoring**: track what a brand or creator publishes and how it performs.
- **E-commerce**: collect product pins with prices and the shops they link to.
- **Influencer discovery**: search profiles by niche and sort by followers and monthly views.
- **Datasets for AI and design**: image and video URLs with titles, descriptions and tags.

Need business emails and phone numbers? Use **Pinterest Business Leads & Email Finder**, which returns the contact
details business profiles show.

### Scheduling and integrations

Schedule runs from the Apify Console and send results to Google Sheets, Airtable, a database or a webhook with Apify
integrations. Re-running the same input after an interrupted run resumes where it stopped.

### Use with AI assistants (MCP)

Use the actor as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server
(`https://mcp.apify.com`). Example prompt: "Get the 50 most saved Pinterest pins for 'capsule wardrobe' with their
links."

### FAQ

**How many results per keyword?** Pinterest returns up to about 1,000 results per search. Use several narrower
keywords to collect more.

**Why do boards return only about 25 pins?** Pinterest shows logged-out visitors only the first ~25 pins of a board,
and this actor does not log in. Profiles' created pins stop at about 350 for the same reason. Search and saved-pin
lists go further.

**Can I get comments?** Not at the moment: Pinterest does not serve comments to logged-out visitors.

**Do I need a Pinterest account or cookies?** No.

**Why are saves and repins empty?** Search results don't include them. Turn on `includePinDetails` to open each pin.

**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an issue on the actor's Issues tab and include the run link.
