## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Walmart Product Scraper

Get clean, structured **Walmart.com product data** from keyword searches, category pages or product URLs: current price, list price and savings, rating and review count, seller, stock status, badges such as Rollback or Best seller, and product images. Turn on **full details** to add UPC, model number, specifications, the full description, every image, variants and the star-rating breakdown.

The actor reads Walmart's own mobile-app data feed instead of rendering web pages, so runs are fast, need no residential proxy, and don't depend on solving "Robot or human?" checks.

**Who it's for:** e-commerce sellers and brands watching prices, agencies mapping competitor catalogs, marketplace analysts finding third-party sellers, and developers who need a stable JSON feed of Walmart products.

### What data you get

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `us_item_id` | `5144605607` | Walmart item id (the number in `/ip/` URLs) |
| `name` | `Ninja Air Fryer Pro XL 5-Qt…` | |
| `url` | `https://www.walmart.com/ip/…/5144605607` | |
| `price` / `price_display` | `79.97` / `$79.97` | current price, USD |
| `list_price`, `savings` | `149.0`, `40.0` | when on sale |
| `min_price`, `max_price` | `79.97`, `129.0` | price range across variants |
| `unit_price` | `$14.07/qt` | groceries and household items |
| `rating`, `reviews_count` | `4.6`, `7095` | |
| `availability`, `in_stock` | `IN_STOCK`, `true` | |
| `seller_name`, `seller_id` | `Walmart.com` | marketplace sellers included |
| `department` | `Home` | |
| `image` | `https://i5.walmartimages.com/…` | main image |
| `badges` | `["Rollback", "Best seller"]` | |
| `is_sponsored` | `false` | ad placements are flagged |
| `variant_count` | `4` | colors / sizes |
| `position` | `3` | rank in the search or category |
| `source`, `source_value` | `search`, `air fryer` | which input produced the row |

**With full details** (`includeDetails: true`, or any product URL / item id) you also get:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `brand`, `model`, `upc` | `HP`, `5T9T7UA#ABA`, `196337630390` |
| `category_path` | `Electronics / Computers, Laptops and Tablets / Laptops / …` |
| `short_description`, `long_description` | text / HTML |
| `highlights`, `specifications` | `[{"name": "Processor", "value": "Intel Celeron"}, …]` |
| `images` | every product image |
| `variants` | `[{"criteria": "Actual Color", "name": "Pink", "availability": "AVAILABLE"}, …]` |
| `rating_breakdown` | `{"5": 12050, "4": 3100, …}` |
| `was_price`, `seller_type`, `seller_rating`, `fulfillment_options` | |

Every row has the same keys. A field is `null` when Walmart doesn't show that value.

### Use cases

- **Price monitoring for sellers and brands.** Schedule a daily run on your keywords or categories and track `price`, `list_price`, `savings` and `in_stock` for your products and competitors.
- **Competitor catalog mapping for agencies.** Pull a whole category sorted by best sellers, then enrich the top results with specs and UPCs.
- **Marketplace seller discovery.** Filter rows by `seller_name` and `seller_id` to find third-party sellers in a niche.
- **Market research.** Look at rating and price distributions per category, and how many results are Rollbacks or sponsored.
- **Product data feeds.** Feed UPC, specs and images into a PIM, comparison site or AI shopping assistant.

### Scheduling and integrations

- **Schedules.** Run it daily or hourly from *Schedules* in Apify Console to build a price history.
- **Webhooks.** Get a webhook when a run succeeds and pull the dataset into your own system.
- **Exports.** Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML, or read them through the Apify API.
- **Integrations.** Connect to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n, Airbyte or Slack.

### Use with AI assistants (MCP)

Add the actor to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com). Then ask things like *"Find the 20 cheapest 65-inch TVs on Walmart with at least 4 stars"* and the assistant runs the actor and reads the rows.

### FAQ

**How many products can I get per keyword?** Walmart shows about 25 pages of results per search or category, roughly 1,000 products. To go further, split by category, price range (`minPrice` and `maxPrice`) or facet (`facetFilter`).

**Which store are prices for?** Walmart picks a store from the network location of the request. Prices are the online prices for that store, and a few items differ by store. The actor can't pin a specific store or ZIP code yet.

**Why is `price` empty for some items?** Some marketplace listings hide their price until checkout, and Walmart returns no price for them.

**Why are `brand` or `upc` empty?** Walmart's search results don't include them. Turn on `includeDetails`, or pass product URLs or item ids, to get the full product page.

**Do I need a proxy or a Walmart account?** No. The actor reads public product data and needs neither.

**Is scraping Walmart legal?** The actor collects publicly available product information. You are responsible for using the data in line with Walmart's terms and the laws that apply to you. Don't use it to collect personal data.

**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an issue on the actor's *Issues* tab and include the run link.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search on Walmart.com, one per line. Each keyword is paginated up to 'Max products per keyword/category'.

## `categoryUrls` (type: `array`):

Walmart category pages (/browse/... or /cp/...), e.g. https://www.walmart.com/browse/electronics/laptops/3944\_1089430\_3951

## `categoryIds` (type: `array`):

Walmart category ids such as 3944\_1089430\_3951 (the last path segment of a /browse/ URL).

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

Walmart product pages (/ip/...). Each returns one row with full details.

## `itemIds` (type: `array`):

Walmart item ids (the number at the end of an /ip/ URL). Each returns one row with full details.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

For keyword and category results, also fetch each product page: UPC, model, specifications, full description, all images, variants, seller rating and star breakdown. Adds one request per product and the 'Full product details' charge.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Order of keyword and category results.

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

Only keyword/category results priced at or above this.

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Only keyword/category results priced at or below this.

## `facetFilter` (type: `string`):

Walmart's raw facet filter string, e.g. brand:HP||brand:Dell or fulfillment\_method\_in\_store:In-store. Copy it from the 'facet=' parameter of a filtered walmart.com search URL.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many product rows across all inputs.

## `maxItemsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Cap per keyword or category. Walmart itself shows at most ~25 pages (about 1,000 products) per query; split by category, price or facet to go further.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. The actor works without a proxy; add one only if you see repeated blocks.
