scrapers — **Handelsregister**, **Impressum (§5 DDG)**, **VAT (VIES)**, **insolvency
(Insolvenzbekanntmachungen)**, and **Bundesanzeiger financials** — plus website & tech
enrichment, into a single clean JSON record. **No login, no API key, no stitching flaky
scrapers together.**

**Which countries?** Germany (full register coverage). Austrian/other sites return
Impressum + VAT only (Austria uses the Firmenbuch, not the Handelsregister).

**Do I need any credentials or API keys for the sources?** No. All sources are public.

**Is the insolvency check a solvency guarantee?** No — it reports *active/recent*
insolvency proceedings that match the company in the official register. Absence of a
match means no current proceeding was found, not a certified clean bill.

**Is this GDPR-compliant?** Company data of legal entities is not personal data. Names of
natural persons (directors) can be hashed via `redactPersonalData`. No login, no secrets stored.
