## Pricing

from $9.00 / 1,000 mobile number founds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Name and Company to Phone Number Finder do?

**Name and Company to Phone Number Finder** takes a list of names with company domains and returns the verified mobile number on
record for the person behind each one, together with their name, job title, current company, location and LinkedIn profile URL.
It is a phone number lookup by name and company for sales, recruiting and CRM enrichment.

- **You pay only when the phone number is found.** A miss, a person with no
  phone number on record, a removed profile and an invalid entry are free
  rows that say why.
- **One narrow row per entry**: the phone number you asked for and just
  enough of the person's card to recognise them.
- **Up to 20,000 entries per run**, from the form, the API or an MCP client.
- **A database lookup.** Nothing is crawled while your run is in progress,
  and no login, cookies or API key are needed.
- **Verified mobile numbers.** The numbers on record are mobile numbers that were verified when they were collected: direct dials, never a company switchboard.

### What data do you get from a name and a company domain?

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `_status` | `found` | `found`, `no_phone`, `not_found`, `profile_removed`, `invalid`, `paused`, `error` |
| `_input` | `{"name": "Jane Doe", "domain": "acme-example.com"}` | the entry as it was looked up |
| `primaryPhone` | `+15125550142` | the first mobile number on record |
| `phones` | `["+15125550142"]` | every mobile number on record |
| `phoneCount` | `1` | numbers on the row |
| `linkedinUrl` | `https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe-example` | on every `found` row |
| `fullName` | `Jane Doe` | when on record |
| `jobTitle`, `company` | `VP Marketing`, `Acme Example` | current role, when on record |
| `location`, `country` | `Austin, Texas, United States`, `US` | when on record |
| `_freshness` | `fresh_90d` | `fresh_90d`, `updated_1y`, `older`, or `unknown` when the record carries no date |
| `_matchCandidates`, `_matchNote` | `2`, `2 people named Jane Doe work at acme-example.com; …` | only when several current employees carry the name |
| `_error` | | a plain sentence on every row that is not `found` |

### How to find a phone number by name and company (3 steps)

1. Paste your names with company domains, one per line.
2. Press **Start** and wait for the run to finish.
3. Export the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON, or read it through the API.

### How much does it cost to find a phone number by name?

| Event | Price | When |
|---|---|---|
| Phone number found | **$0.012** ($12 per 1,000) | the row carries a phone number |
| Everything else | **$0** | no match, a match with no phone number on record, removed profile, invalid entry |

A small per-run start fee may apply; it is shown on the Pricing tab.

### Pay only for what we find

You pay only for rows that carry a phone number. Every miss is free and says why, so a test run on your own list costs only what it finds.

### Input

```json
{
  "names": [
    "Jane Doe, acme-example.com",
    "Sam Rivera @ example.org",
    "Alex Kim"
  ],
  "companyDomain": "acme-example.com"
}
```

Each line is a full name, then a comma or `@`, then the company website domain. A line with no domain of its own uses `companyDomain`; with neither it is refused for free, because a name alone matches many people. One name at two companies is two lookups.

### Output

A found row (charged):

```json
{
  "_status": "found",
  "_input": {
    "name": "Jane Doe",
    "domain": "acme-example.com"
  },
  "_freshness": "updated_1y",
  "primaryPhone": "+15125550142",
  "phones": [
    "+15125550142"
  ],
  "phoneCount": 1,
  "linkedinUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe-example",
  "fullName": "Jane Doe",
  "jobTitle": "VP Marketing",
  "company": "Acme Example",
  "location": "Austin, Texas, United States",
  "country": "US"
}
```

A free row:

```json
{
  "_status": "no_phone",
  "_input": {
    "name": "Jane Doe",
    "domain": "acme-example.com"
  },
  "_error": "A person matches this name at this company, but no phone number is on record for them. Not charged."
}
```

### Phone number by name API, MCP and integrations

Run it from the Apify API, from the Apify MCP server in an AI assistant, or
from Make, n8n and Zapier through their Apify connectors. The input is one
array and the output is one flat row per entry, so it maps onto a
spreadsheet column without reshaping.

### Use cases

- **Sales and RevOps**: add a phone number to a target account list you built by name and company.
- **Recruiting**: call a candidate you found on a team page or in a conference programme.
- **Event and partnership teams**: reach the people named in a press release or a speaker list.
- **Developers and AI agents**: one call in, one flat row out.

### FAQ

#### How do I find a phone number from a name and a company domain?

Paste the entry into the input and start the run. If it is on record for
one person and that person has a phone number on record, the row comes back
`found` with it.

#### What is the match rate for a phone number by name and company?

We looked up 365 US decision makers (director and above, at companies of 11 to 5,000 people) by full name and company website domain (2026-10-01). 91% matched one person, and 82 of the 365 came back with a phone number (22%), all of them US (+1) numbers. Expect less outside the US, at very large companies, and for people who are not in our database. Because a lookup
with nothing to return costs nothing, a test run on your own list costs only
what it finds.

#### Am I charged when nothing is found?

No. Every row that is not `found` is free, including a person who matched
but has no phone number on record.

#### What happens when several people match one entry?

Sometimes two current employees of one company share a name. Profiles that
were removed do not count. Among the rest, the row returns the first person
who has a phone number on record, and says how many people carry the name:
`_matchCandidates` is the number, `_matchNote` says it in a sentence. The row
is charged like any other found row. To be sure you have the right person,
add a job title or check the LinkedIn URL on the row.

How often: on 150 people at US companies with 1,000+ employees
(2026-10-01), 8 names matched more than one profile, and in 4 of those the
second profile had been removed — so about 3% of names at large companies
are true namesakes. At small companies it is rarer.

#### Can I run name to phone in bulk?

Yes: up to 20,000 entries per run, or send them as a JSON array through the
API and split larger lists into several runs.

#### Does it need cookies, login or an API key?

No. The Actor reads from our own database and never logs in to any network.

#### How fresh is the data?

Each found row carries `_freshness`: `fresh_90d` (record updated within 90
days), `updated_1y`, `older` or `unknown`. People change jobs and contact details;
check before you rely on a row.

#### Is it legal to look up a phone number this way?

That depends on what you do with the result and where you and the person
are. Read "Disclaimer and permitted use" below.

### Use Phone Number Finder by Name & Company with AI agents and MCP

This Actor works as a tool for AI agents. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client through the Apify MCP server:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=b2bsearch/name-to-phone
```

- **Fast enough for a tool call.** A small request finishes in seconds, so the agent gets its answer inside one call.
- **The agent pays only for results.** Prices are per result (see the pricing section above) and every miss is a free row. Cap what one call may spend with `maxTotalChargeUsd`.
- **Rows explain themselves.** Each row has a `_status`; a row that is not a result says why in `_error`, so the agent can decide what to do next without guessing.

Input an agent can send as is:

```json
{
  "names": [
    "Dharmesh Shah, hubspot.com"
  ]
}
```

The same Actor is available as a tool in LangChain, CrewAI and the OpenAI Agents SDK, and as a step in n8n, Make and Zapier through the Apify integrations.

### Free Apify plan

A run started from a free Apify plan delivers the first 100 results and stops;
the run's status line says so. Any paid Apify plan lifts the cap. The rows are
the same rows a paid run returns.

### Feedback and reviews

How did it go? A rating in the **Reviews** tab of this Actor tells the next
buyer what to expect; we read every word, good or bad. Got a wrong or stale
row? Open the **Issues** tab with the run ID. Issues are public, so leave out
emails, phones and names; the run ID is enough for us to find the row. We
check every report, fix what is ours to fix and answer in the thread.
