## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Airbnb Search & Prices Scraper

Search **Airbnb** for any location and dates and get every listing with its **real price for your stay**: nightly rate, taxes, total, and discounts. You also get the rating, review count, bedrooms, beds, baths, coordinates, photos and a direct link.

It works well for short-term rental market research, pricing your own listing against nearby competitors, travel apps, and AI agents that need to answer "what does an Airbnb in X cost on these dates?".

### What you get per listing

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `id`, `url` | 32422325, https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/32422325?check\_in=… |
| `title` / `name` | Apartment in Santa Maria Maior / "Brand new apartment right in the heart of Alfama." |
| `propertyType`, `neighborhood` | Apartment, Santa Maria Maior |
| `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `isNew` | 4.82, 476, false |
| `bedrooms`, `beds`, `bathrooms` | 1, 2, 1 |
| `pricePerNight` | 133.70 |
| `effectivePricePerNight` | 142.81 (total ÷ nights, after discounts and taxes) |
| `priceBeforeTaxesAndFees`, `taxes`, `totalPrice`, `taxesIncluded` | 267.40, 18.21, 285.61, true |
| `originalPrice` | set when Airbnb shows a discounted price |
| `currency`, `nights`, `checkIn`, `checkOut` | USD, 2, 2026-11-12, 2026-11-14 |
| `latitude`, `longitude` | 38.7117, -9.1256 |
| `hostInfo`, `badges`, `paymentNotes` | Business host, Free cancellation… |
| `photos` | up to 5 image URLs |

### How to use it

1. Add one or more **locations**, e.g. "Lisbon, Portugal" or "Brooklyn, NY".
2. Set **check-in** and **check-out** dates, the **number of guests** and the **currency**.
3. You can also filter by place type, price range, minimum bedrooms or minimum rating.
4. Choose how many listings you want per location (up to about 270, which is Airbnb's limit per search).
5. Run it, then download the data as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it through the API.

```json
{
  "locations": ["Lisbon, Portugal"],
  "checkIn": "2026-11-12",
  "checkOut": "2026-11-14",
  "adults": 2,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "roomType": "entire_home",
  "maxResultsPerLocation": 100
}
```

### Why use this Actor

- **The real price of the stay, not just the nightly rate.** You get the nightly price, taxes, discounts, the total and an effective price per night, so you can compare listings properly.
- **Low price:** $0.20 per 1,000 listings, with no monthly fee.
- **Up to about 270 listings per location** (Airbnb's own limit per search), with filters for place type, price, bedrooms and rating.

### Pricing

$0.20 per 1,000 listings returned (a 100-listing search costs about $0.02). There's no monthly fee. A page that fails after retries costs nothing.

### Example: track Airbnb prices in one city every day

1. Set up the input above for your city and dates, then click **Save as a new task**.
2. In the task, open **Schedules** and create a daily schedule.
3. Each run adds a fresh dataset. Compare `totalPrice` or `effectivePricePerNight` by listing `id` to see how prices move as the dates get closer.
4. To get the results automatically, add an integration (Google Sheets, Slack, webhook) on the task.

### Use with AI agents

This Actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com). The inputs are simple and the output is flat JSON.

### Notes

- Prices are what Airbnb shows at run time for your dates and guest count. They change often.
- Airbnb shows taxes differently by region. `taxesIncluded` tells you whether `totalPrice` includes taxes. To see a specific country's pricing (e.g. tax-inclusive EU prices), set a country in the **Proxy** settings.
- Only publicly visible search data is collected. No personal data about hosts or guests is collected. You are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and the terms of the sites involved.
