## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Hotels Prices Scraper

Get live hotel and vacation-rental prices from **Google Hotels** for any destination and dates. Each result is one property with its **price per night**, **total price including taxes and fees**, star class, guest rating, review count, amenities, nearby places, coordinates, photos and a link back to Google Hotels.

It's built for price monitoring, travel apps, revenue management, market research and AI agents that need to answer "what does a hotel in X cost on these dates?"

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `name` | Exmo. Hotel |
| `type` | `hotel` or `vacation_rental` |
| `hotelClass` | 4 |
| `rating` / `reviewsCount` | 4.8 / 197 |
| `pricePerNight` | 133 |
| `totalPrice` | 266.63 (all nights, taxes and fees included) |
| `priceBeforeTaxes` / `taxesAndFees` | 242.39 / 24.25 |
| `currency` | USD |
| `checkIn` / `checkOut` / `nights` | 2026-11-12 / 2026-11-14 / 2 |
| `latitude` / `longitude` | 41.1410, -8.6145 |
| `amenities` | Free Wi-Fi, Pool, Breakfast… |
| `nearby` | Airport 24 min, Church of Saint Francis 1 min… |
| `images` | up to 5 photo URLs |
| `website` | the property's own site, when Google shows one |
| `googleHotelsUrl` | a link to the property on Google Hotels |

### How to use it

1. Enter one or more **destinations**: a city ("Lisbon"), a district ("Shibuya Tokyo") or a free-text search ("hotels near Times Square").
2. Choose **check-in** and **check-out** dates. If you leave them empty, check-in is 14 days from today for one night.
3. Pick a **currency** (USD, EUR, GBP…) and the number of **adults**.
4. Set **max results per destination**: up to 500. The Actor pages through Google Hotels for you.
5. You can also filter by property type, minimum rating, maximum nightly price or minimum star class.
6. Run it and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it through the API.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "queries": ["Lisbon", "Porto"],
  "checkIn": "2026-11-12",
  "checkOut": "2026-11-14",
  "currency": "EUR",
  "adults": 2,
  "maxResultsPerQuery": 100,
  "propertyType": "hotels",
  "minRating": 4
}
```

### Why use this Actor

- **Goes past the first page:** up to 500 properties per destination. The Actor pages through Google Hotels for you.
- **Prices for your real occupancy:** set the number of adults, and get the nightly price, the total with taxes and fees, and the tax breakdown.
- **Low price:** $1.50 per 1,000 properties, with no monthly fee.
- **Retries built in:** blocked or slow pages are retried with fresh proxy sessions, and a destination that still fails isn't charged.

### Pricing

$1.50 per 1,000 properties returned (100 hotels in one city cost about $0.15). There's no monthly fee. A destination that can't be loaded after several retries costs nothing, and the run tells you why.

### Example: track hotel prices in a city every day

1. Set your destination, dates, adults and currency (for example Lisbon, 2 adults, EUR, 100 results), then click **Save as a new task**.
2. In the task, open **Schedules** and add a daily schedule.
3. Each run saves a new dataset. Match properties by `googleHotelsUrl` and compare `pricePerNight` or `totalPrice` across days to see how prices move.
4. Add a Google Sheets, Slack or webhook integration on the task to get the data automatically.

### Use with AI agents

This Actor works well as a tool for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com). The inputs are simple (destination, dates, currency) and the output is flat JSON, so an agent can compare prices directly.

### Notes and limits

- Each destination returns up to 500 properties. Popular cities have thousands of listings on Google Hotels, so you can go well beyond the first page.
- Prices are what Google Hotels shows at run time for the number of adults you choose (default 2). They change often.
- Google sometimes shows a property without a price for your dates. Those results have no price fields.
- This Actor only collects publicly visible data. You are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and the terms of the sites involved.
