## Pricing

from $5.00 / 1,000 hotel with booking-site prices

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Hotel Prices by Booking Site (Google Hotels)

Enter a city and dates, and get **every hotel's price on each booking site**: Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Trip.com, Priceline, the hotel's own website and more. The data comes from Google Hotels, which compares these sites for you. One run can cover a whole city, so you don't need to look up hotel IDs one by one. In our test run in Rome, the 20 hotels had 8–35 booking sites each.

### What it's for

- **Hotels and revenue managers:** see whether booking sites undercut your direct price (rate parity), and check competitors' prices across channels.
- **Travel apps and AI agents:** give users the cheapest place to book each hotel.
- **Market research:** see which booking sites are cheapest in a city, and by how much.

### What you get per hotel

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `hotelName`, `hotelClass`, `rating` | Hotel Indigo Rome - St. George by IHG, 5, 4.7 |
| `offers` | one entry per booking site: `provider`, `pricePerNight`, `totalPrice`, `isOfficialSite`, `bookingUrl` |
| `offersCount` | 26 |
| `cheapestProvider`, `cheapestPricePerNight`, `cheapestTotalPrice` | Traveluro, 317.23, 634.47 |
| `officialSitePricePerNight`, `officialSiteIsCheapest` | 361.39, false |
| `priceSpreadPercent` | gap between the cheapest and the priciest site, in % |
| `checkIn`, `checkOut`, `adults`, `currency` | 2026-12-04, 2026-12-06, 2, USD |
| `googleHotelsUrl` | a link to the hotel on Google Hotels |

### How to use it

1. Add one or more **destinations** ("Lisbon", "4 star hotels in Rome"), or specific **hotels** (a Google Hotels link, or a name with its city).
2. Set **check-in** and **check-out**, the number of **adults** and the **currency**.
3. Choose **max hotels per destination** (1–200).
4. Run it, then download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it through the API.

```json
{
  "queries": ["Lisbon"],
  "checkIn": "2026-11-20",
  "checkOut": "2026-11-23",
  "adults": 2,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "maxHotelsPerQuery": 20
}
```

### Pricing

$5.00 per 1,000 hotels returned, and each hotel includes every booking site Google shows for it (often 15–30 for city hotels), so you pay per hotel, not per booking site. Pricing 20 hotels costs about $0.10. There's no monthly fee. Hotels with no prices for your dates, and pages that fail after retries, are not charged.

### Example: a daily rate-parity check

1. Add your hotel (and a few competitors) under **Specific hotels**, set your dates, then click **Save as a new task**.
2. In the task, open **Schedules** and add a daily schedule.
3. Watch `officialSiteIsCheapest` and each site's `pricePerNight` over time. Add a Slack, email or webhook integration to get alerts.

### Use from an AI assistant (MCP)

AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can run this Actor as a tool through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com). To add only this Actor, use this server URL:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=b_danielstefan/hotel-prices-by-booking-site
```

Then ask, for example: "Which booking site is cheapest for 4-star hotels in Rome, 20–23 November, 2 adults, in EUR?"

Notes for agents calling it:

- **Minimal input:** `{"queries": ["Lisbon"]}`. Every other field has a default: check-in 14 days from today, one night, 2 adults, USD, 5 hotels.
- **One known hotel:** put its name and city (or its Google Hotels link) in `hotels` and leave `queries` empty.
- **Keep it quick:** use `maxHotelsPerQuery` 5–10. In our tests a 5-hotel run finished in under 2 minutes. Larger runs take longer and cost more.
- **Output:** one dataset item per hotel. Read `cheapestProvider`, `cheapestPricePerNight` and `officialSiteIsCheapest` for the short answer, and `offers` for the price on each site.
- **Cost:** $0.005 per hotel returned. Hotels with no prices for the dates are not charged.

### Notes

- Prices are what Google Hotels shows at run time for your dates, occupancy and country. They change often, and the booking sites set them.
- Each hotel's price page is large, so allow roughly 15–20 seconds per hotel (several hotels load in parallel).
- Only publicly visible price data is collected. You are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and the terms of the sites involved.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Cities, districts or free-text hotel searches, one per item, e.g. "Lisbon", "4 star hotels in Rome", "hotels near Times Square". Each hotel found is returned with its price on every booking site. Provide this or "hotels".

## `hotels` (type: `array`):

Optional. Specific hotels to price, instead of or in addition to destinations: a Google Hotels link (…/travel/hotels/entity/…) or a hotel name with its city, e.g. "Czar Lisbon Hotel".

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

Check-in date as YYYY-MM-DD. If empty or in the past, 14 days from today is used.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

Check-out date as YYYY-MM-DD, after check-in. If empty, one night after check-in is used.

## `adults` (type: `integer`):

Number of adult guests (1–12). Prices change with occupancy.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

ISO 4217 currency code for all prices, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP.

## `maxHotelsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

How many hotels to price per destination (1–200). You are charged per hotel returned. Larger numbers take longer, so use 5–10 for a quick answer.

## `hotelsOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Skip vacation rentals, which usually have only one booking site.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Google interface language (hl), e.g. en.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Google country code (gl), e.g. us, gb, de. Affects which booking sites and prices are shown.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings. Apify Proxy is used by default; leave as is unless you need a specific proxy.
