## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs Scraper: Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby & more

A **job postings API for 8 applicant tracking systems**: scrape Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and BambooHR career boards into one unified schema. No login, no API key.

### What does ATS Jobs Scraper do?

- Paste company career-board URLs in any mix; the ATS is detected automatically (`lever:spotify` style shortcuts also work).
- Get title, department, location, remote flag, employment type, posting date, job URL and apply URL.
- Get salary range and currency when the ATS publishes it (Ashby, Lever, Recruitee).
- Filter by title keywords, locations, `remoteOnly` and `postedWithinDays`.
- Optionally include the full job description as clean plain text.

### Why use it

- **8 ATS platforms, one run, one schema**: no per-vendor parsers.
- **Direct from the source**: reads the vendors' own public job-board endpoints, so postings are first-party, not board reposts.
- **Low price**: $1.00 per 1,000 jobs; only jobs that pass your filters are billed.
- **Incremental monitoring** with `postedWithinDays`.
- **No login, no API key, no proxy.**

### Use cases

- Job aggregators and niche job boards (Python, climate, web3...).
- Hiring-signal tracking: which companies are hiring, and for what.
- Sales and recruiting lead lists from companies opening specific roles.
- Salary-range research from boards that publish compensation.
- Competitor headcount-growth monitoring with a daily schedule.

### How to use

1. Open the Actor on Apify and click **Try for free** (or call it through the API).
2. Paste career-board URLs (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday...) into **Companies**.
3. Click **Start**, then download the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read it through the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify",
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai",
    "https://apply.workable.com/huggingface",
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/Ubisoft2",
    "https://bunq.recruitee.com",
    "https://canopy.bamboohr.com/careers"
  ],
  "keywords": ["engineer"],
  "locations": ["remote", "london"],
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 25
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "source": "ashby",
  "company": "openai",
  "jobId": "8fb1615c-34bf-47c4-a1d1-b7b2f836bbd3",
  "title": "Technical Program Manager, Compute Infrastructure",
  "department": "Technical Program Management",
  "team": "Technical Program Management",
  "location": "San Francisco",
  "remote": null,
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salaryMin": 257000,
  "salaryMax": 335000,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "postedAt": "2026-03-12T16:38:15.322+00:00",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/8fb1615c-34bf-47c4-a1d1-b7b2f836bbd3",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/8fb1615c-34bf-47c4-a1d1-b7b2f836bbd3/application",
  "descriptionText": null
}
```

`remote` is `true`/`false` when the ATS says so and `null` when unknown. `remoteOnly` keeps only `true`.

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription. You pay only for what is returned:

| Event | Price per 1,000 | 1,000 | 10,000 | 100,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| job | $1.00 | $1.00 | $10.00 | $100.00 |

Example: 1,000 jobs cost $1.00; 10,000 cost $10.00.

Platform usage (compute) is included in the event price; there is nothing else to pay for.

### Integrations & API

Run it from code with the Apify API. Replace `<APIFY_TOKEN>` with your API token.

**Python** (`pip install apify-client`)

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("bachiembmt/ats-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={"companies": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify"], "keywords": ["engineer"], "remoteOnly": False, "postedWithinDays": 30, "maxJobsPerCompany": 25})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

**cURL** (run synchronously and get dataset items)

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/bachiembmt~ats-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<APIFY_TOKEN>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companies": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify"], "keywords": ["engineer"], "remoteOnly": false, "postedWithinDays": 30, "maxJobsPerCompany": 25}'
```

Works with:

- **Make** and **Zapier**: use the Apify app/module to run this Actor and pass the dataset on.
- **n8n**: use the Apify node or an HTTP Request node with the API call above.
- **Google Sheets**: export the dataset as CSV, or use the Apify integration to append rows automatically.
- **Webhooks**: trigger your own endpoint when a run finishes; combine with Apify schedules for recurring jobs.
- **AI agents**: expose the Actor as a tool through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com).

### FAQ

**How do I find a company's board URL?**
Open the careers page and click a job; the address is usually `boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>`, `jobs.lever.co/<slug>`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<slug>` or `<slug>.myworkdayjobs.com/<site>`.

**Can I monitor new jobs daily?**
Yes: schedule the Actor with `postedWithinDays: 1`.

**Is salary always included?**
No. Only when the employer fills it in on Ashby, Lever or Recruitee; the other ATS do not expose it publicly.

**Do I need an account or API key for the source?**
No. The Actor needs no login or source API key. You only need an Apify account to run it.

**Is it legal to scrape this data?**
Only published, public job postings are returned. Company-level data is not personal data; if you contact recruiters or candidates, follow GDPR/CAN-SPAM and the ATS terms. This is general information, not legal advice.

### Limitations

- Endpoints used: Greenhouse `boards-api.greenhouse.io`, Lever `api.lever.co` (EU: `api.eu.lever.co`), Ashby `api.ashbyhq.com`, Workable `apply.workable.com/api/v3`, Workday `{tenant}.wd{N}.myworkdayjobs.com/wday/cxs`, SmartRecruiters `api.smartrecruiters.com/v1`, Recruitee `{company}.recruitee.com/api/offers`, BambooHR `{company}.bamboohr.com/careers`.
- Workday: the list only has relative dates ("Posted 3 Days Ago"), so `postedAt` is an approximate date (30+ days is reported as 30); with `includeDescription` the exact start date replaces it. `location` shows e.g. "3 Locations" in the list.
- BambooHR: list has no posting date; `postedAt` is filled only with `includeDescription`. Companies must have a public careers page.
- Greenhouse, Workday, SmartRecruiters, BambooHR and Workable have no public salary field; salary comes from Ashby, Lever and Recruitee when the employer fills it.
- `includeDescription` costs one extra request per job for Workable, Workday, SmartRecruiters and BambooHR (1 request/second): combine with `maxJobsPerCompany`.
- Requests are throttled to at most 1 per second. Only published, public postings are returned.
- Boards that do not exist are skipped with a warning; one broken board never fails the run.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Career board URLs: boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, jobs.lever.co/spotify, jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai, apply.workable.com/huggingface, nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite (Workday), jobs.smartrecruiters.com/Ubisoft2, bunq.recruitee.com, canopy.bamboohr.com/careers. Or 'source:slug' (e.g. lever:spotify, workday:nvidia.wd5/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite). A bare slug is tried against Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, BambooHR, SmartRecruiters.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these (case-insensitive). Empty = all.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these (case-insensitive), e.g. 'London', 'Germany'.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs flagged remote by the ATS.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 = no filter. Workday dates are approximate ('Posted 3 Days Ago'); BambooHR has no date in its list, so undated jobs are kept.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add descriptionText (HTML converted to plain text). Workable, Workday, SmartRecruiters and BambooHR need one extra request per job (1 request/second).

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

0 = no limit.
