## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Products Scraper — Search Results & Product Details

Search Amazon by keyword, or paste amazon.com product links and ASINs, and get
one clean row per product: title, price, list price, currency, rating, number
of ratings, image and sponsored flag. Turn on product pages (amazon.com) to add
seller, brand, availability, all large images, category path and best sellers
rank, plus an optional star breakdown.

### What you can scrape

| Input | Amazon sites | Row contents |
|---|---|---|
| Keywords | amazon.com, .co.uk, .de (tested); .fr, .it, .es, .ca (accepted, not yet verified) | Results-tile values, in result order with position and page |
| Keywords + "Open each product page" | amazon.com | Tile values plus everything on the product page |
| Product links / ASINs | amazon.com | Everything on the product page |

Product links to other Amazon sites are skipped and listed in the run's
`OUTPUT` record; the rest of the run continues. Search those sites by keyword.

### Input

```json
{
  "keywords": ["air fryer"],
  "productUrls": ["https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LD1T57H", "B0BDHWDR12"],
  "marketplace": "amazon.com",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "includeDetails": false,
  "includeReviewsSummary": false
}
```

- **maxItems** is for the whole run (1-5,000). Each keyword is read page by page
  (up to 20 pages) until it runs out of results or the run reaches maxItems.
- The same product appearing twice (two keywords, or a keyword and a link) is
  delivered once.

### Output example

A keyword result with product page details:

```json
{
  "asin": "B0F5HSNDXF",
  "title": "Acer 10 Gbps USB C Hub, USBC Splitter with 4*USB C 3.2 and 100W PD Port",
  "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F5HSNDXF",
  "marketplace": "amazon.com",
  "source": "search",
  "searchInput": "usb c hub",
  "position": 1,
  "searchPage": 1,
  "detailLevel": "full",
  "price": 25.98,
  "currency": "USD",
  "listPrice": 31.99,
  "rating": 4.3,
  "reviewsCount": 843,
  "availability": "In Stock",
  "seller": "Newease Tech Direct",
  "brand": "Acer",
  "images": [
    "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61RK-9CpgBL._AC_SL1500_.jpg",
    "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Bqr3yVunL._AC_SL1500_.jpg"
  ],
  "breadcrumbs": [
    "Electronics",
    "Computers & Accessories",
    "Computer Accessories & Peripherals",
    "USB Hubs"
  ],
  "bestSellersRank": [
    {
      "rank": 26,
      "category": "USB Hubs"
    }
  ],
  "isSponsored": true,
  "ratingBreakdown": {
    "5star": 70,
    "4star": 11,
    "3star": 9,
    "2star": 4,
    "1star": 6
  },
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-23T02:55:53Z"
}
```

Search-only rows have `detailLevel: "search"` and leave the product-page fields
(availability, seller, brand, breadcrumbs, bestSellersRank) empty. `price` is
null when Amazon shows no buy box (for example "See all buying options").

### Run summary and errors

The `OUTPUT` record in the key-value store lists every search (pages read,
rows, error), product pages that could not be delivered and skipped links.
Only delivered product rows are charged; failed pages are retried a few times
and, if still refused, are reported in `OUTPUT` and never charged. If you set a
maximum charge, the run stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Price

You pay per result: each delivered product row is one result, plus a small run-start charge. The run-start event is charged per GB of memory; the default 512 MB run is one start event. The start is charged even if the run saves no results. Failed searches and product pages are not charged. Platform usage is included in the price.

### Limits

- Prices and availability are what Amazon shows a visitor without a delivery
  address or account.
- Up to 20 results pages per keyword.
- Product pages: about 5 seconds each, three at a time.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Words you would type into Amazon's search box. Each keyword is searched page by page until Max items is reached.

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

amazon.com product links (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0...) or bare 10-character ASINs. Product pages are available on amazon.com only; links to other Amazon sites are skipped with a note in OUTPUT.

## `marketplace` (type: `string`):

Which Amazon site to search. Bare ASINs are looked up on this site.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of product rows for the whole run.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

For amazon.com searches, also open every result's product page to add seller, brand, availability, all images, category path and best sellers rank. Slower. Ignored on other Amazon sites.

## `includeReviewsSummary` (type: `boolean`):

Add the share of reviews per star (5 to 1) to rows that come from a product page.

    "air fryer"
  ],
  "marketplace": "amazon.com",
