## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bluesky Starter Packs Scraper: Members, Posts & Profiles

Export public Bluesky starter packs and their member accounts, author posts, post threads and profiles. Find accounts by keyword with account search.

Keyword post search is not offered because Bluesky requires login for it. This Actor needs no login or app password. It reads current public content only: no DMs, deleted-post recovery or follower/following list exports.

### Usage

Run with `{}` to collect the Bluesky team's Apple Experts starter pack and up to 20 member profiles. No other modes run by default.

```json
{"mode":"starter-packs","starterPackUrls":["https://bsky.app/starter-pack/bsky.app/3mv3qhvnmkd2l"],"maxResults":21}
```

Use `creatorHandles` to discover packs by creator. Use `handles` with `author-posts` or `profiles`, `postUrls` with `post-threads`, and `query` with `actor-search`. Modes run separately. Handles can also be DIDs. Pack and post links also accept at-uris.

For author posts, `since` is inclusive and `until` exclusive; use ISO timestamps with timezone, such as `2026-10-01T00:00:00Z`. `includeReplies` and `includeReposts` default to true. Time filters apply to the post's creation date, including reposted posts. Threads include the selected post and available replies to depth six; missing or blocked replies are omitted.

### Results

Every row has `type`, `uri` and `url`. Types are `starterPack`, `starterPackMember`, `profile` and `post`.

- Packs: name, description, creator, creation date, member count, list URI and joined counts when available.
- Members and profiles: handle, DID, display name, description, avatar URL, creation date and available aggregate counts. Member rows also carry `starterPackUri`.
- Posts: text, author, `repostedBy` for reposts, dates, languages, reply/repost/like/quote counts, hashtags, mentions, reply references and embeds (links, image URLs and alt text; no image downloads).

### Output example

```json
{"type":"starterPack","uri":"at://did:plc:z72i7hdynmk6r22z27h6tvur/app.bsky.graph.starterpack/3mv3qhvnmkd2l","url":"https://bsky.app/starter-pack/did:plc:z72i7hdynmk6r22z27h6tvur/3mv3qhvnmkd2l","name":"Apple Experts","membersIncluded":false}
```

`maxResults` caps total delivered rows across all targets (default 21, maximum 10,000). Each pack metadata row and each member row counts toward that cap. Members are separate rows, so `membersIncluded` on the metadata is always false. A capped run does not promise complete membership; `memberCount` is the source's total when supplied. Duplicate posts are delivered once, and the same account in two packs is delivered once per pack. Optional source fields can be null.

### Limits and failures

Requests follow available pages until the row cap or shared run deadline. Public visibility and service limits can change. Results are saved as they arrive. A partial run with rows succeeds and names failed targets in its status. With no rows, unavailable targets fail clearly; a confirmed empty result succeeds. Long rate-limit waits can end a run early. Use smaller inputs for frequent monitoring.

### Billing

Delivered dataset rows are the result units. Start charges, where configured in the Store, apply per GB of memory, rounded up: the default 512 MB run is one start unit. See the Store pricing panel for current charges.
