## Pricing

from $3.50 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Base44 Apps Finder: Vibe-Coded App Gallery Scraper + Live Site Audit

**Find public apps built with [Base44](https://base44.com) for $0.005 per app.** The Actor reads the official Base44 community template gallery (`base44.com/templates/apps` and `/websites`) and returns one row per app: name, description, creator, category, number of clones, the live `*.base44.app` URL and the remix link. An optional light audit opens each app's public live URL once and records HTTP status, response time, page title, meta description, custom domain and which security headers are set.

Use it to research the vibe-coding market, find makers and agencies building on Base44, spot popular app ideas by clone count, or build lead lists of Base44 creators.

### Use cases

- 🔎 **Market research on vibe coding** – see which kinds of apps people build with Base44 and which ones get cloned most.
- 🤝 **Lead generation for agencies and freelancers** – find Base44 creators and businesses that may need help with design, SEO, speed or a custom domain.
- 🛡️ **Quality and security snapshot** – spot live Base44 apps without HTTPS security headers, slow responses or missing titles and meta descriptions.
- 💡 **Idea validation** – check whether an app idea (CRM, booking, fitness, AI tools…) already exists in the gallery before you build it.

### What data do you get?

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `name` | FitAI |
| `description` | Your AI-powered fitness coach… |
| `category` | Health & Wellness |
| `creator` | Anjan Patel |
| `isOfficial` | false (community-built) |
| `clones` | 156 |
| `liveUrl` | https://fit-ai.base44.app |
| `subdomain` | fit-ai |
| `galleryUrl` | https://base44.com/templates/apps/view/… |
| `remixUrl` | https://app.base44.com/remix-app/… |
| `screenshots` | image URLs |
| `liveStatus`, `liveOk`, `responseMs` | 200, true, 244 |
| `pageTitle`, `metaDescription`, `hasOgImage` | from the live app's HTML |
| `customDomain` | set when the app redirects to its own domain |
| `securityHeaders` | `{hsts, csp, xFrameOptions, xContentTypeOptions, referrerPolicy}` |

### How to use it

1. Pick the gallery sections (apps, websites or both).
2. Optionally filter by keywords, categories or a minimum number of clones, or exclude official Base44 templates.
3. Leave **Audit the live site** on for status, speed and header checks, or switch it off for gallery data only.
4. Set **Max apps** and run. Export as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

Example input:

```json
{ "kinds": ["apps"], "keywords": ["crm", "booking"], "minClones": 10, "audit": true, "maxResults": 50 }
```

### Where does the data come from?

Only from public pages that Base44 itself publishes for discovery: the gallery listed in Base44's public `sitemap.xml` (robots.txt allows crawling). The audit makes one plain GET request to each app's public live URL. The Actor does not log in, does not submit forms, does not crawl inside apps, does not scan for vulnerabilities, and does not use certificate-transparency logs, search-engine scraping or proxies. Apps that are not in the public gallery are not covered.

The security-header audit is a passive check of response headers that any browser receives. It is not a penetration test.

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- **$0.001** per run start
- **$0.005 per saved app** (FREE plan; lower on Bronze/Silver/Gold)
- The `no-results` row is free.

A run with 20 apps costs about $0.10. All ~800 gallery apps cost about $4. Keyword filters scan the whole gallery but you only pay for matched apps; a full scan takes about 5 minutes.

### Output example

```json
{
  "name": "FitAI",
  "category": "Health & Wellness",
  "creator": "Anjan Patel",
  "isOfficial": false,
  "clones": 156,
  "liveUrl": "https://fit-ai.base44.app",
  "galleryUrl": "https://base44.com/templates/apps/view/…",
  "liveStatus": 200,
  "liveOk": true,
  "responseMs": 244,
  "pageTitle": "FitAI",
  "customDomain": null,
  "securityHeaders": { "hsts": true, "csp": false, "xFrameOptions": false, "xContentTypeOptions": true, "referrerPolicy": false }
}
```

### FAQ

**Is Bolt.new supported?** Not yet. Bolt.new has no public gallery of user-built apps (its gallery lists starter templates), so there is no reliable, legitimate discovery route.

**Why are some fields empty?** `category` is empty when Base44 lists the app without a category; audit fields are empty when the audit is off or the live site did not answer within 15 seconds (`auditError`).

**Can I check page speed or SEO of the apps I find?** Yes. Export the `liveUrl` column and feed it to [Bulk PageSpeed Insights & Core Web Vitals Checker](https://apify.com/benelux-signals/bulk-pagespeed-seo-audit) for Lighthouse scores, or to the [Technical SEO Site Crawler](https://apify.com/benelux-signals/technical-seo-site-crawler) for a full crawl of one app.

**Can I find every Base44 app?** No. Only apps published to the official gallery are included, by design.

# Actor input Schema

## `kinds` (type: `array`):

Which sections of the official Base44 template gallery to read: apps (about 800 community apps) and/or websites (about 230).

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only apps whose name, description, creator or category contains one of these words (case-insensitive). Empty = all apps.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Keep only apps in these gallery categories (partial match), e.g. Productivity, Health & Wellness, Education, Entertainment.

## `minClones` (type: `integer`):

Only apps cloned at least this many times on Base44.

## `includeOfficial` (type: `boolean`):

Off = only community-built apps.

## `audit` (type: `boolean`):

Open each app's public live URL once and record HTTP status, response time, page title, meta description, custom domain and which security headers are set. No login, no forms, no crawling inside the app.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many saved apps (each saved app is one billed result).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel requests. Kept low on purpose to be polite.

## `maxRunSeconds` (type: `integer`):

Stop scanning the gallery after this many seconds and finish cleanly with what was found. 0 = no limit (full scan of ~800 pages with keywords can take 10+ minutes; raise the run timeout too).
