## Pricing

from $3.40 / 1,000 profiles

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## 👤 Threads Profile Scraper - Followers, Bio & Engagement

Turn a list of Threads usernames into one clean row per account: follower count, display name, bio, the links in the bio, the verified badge, whether the account is private, when it last posted, and the average likes and replies of its newest posts. No login, cookies or API key. Export to JSON/CSV/Excel, run on a schedule, call via API, or connect to Make, Zapier or n8n.

### 🔎 What is the Threads Profile Scraper?

It is an Apify Actor that opens each Threads profile the way a logged-out visitor does and saves what the page shows about the account. Paste usernames, @handles or profile links in any mix; threads.net links work too.

Follower count alone says little about an account. The row therefore also carries `last_post_at` and the average likes and replies of the newest posts on the profile page, so you can spot inactive or bought audiences before you contact anyone.

Accounts that do not exist are listed in the status message and skipped, and the run still succeeds. A private account returns its profile row with `is_private: true`.

#### What data does it extract?

- **Identity:** `id`, `username`, `full_name`, `url`, `profile_pic_url`
- **Reach:** `followers`, `is_verified`
- **About:** `biography`, `bio_links[]` (real destinations, not Threads redirect links)
- **Status:** `is_private`
- **Activity:** `last_post_at`, `recent_posts_sampled`, `recent_avg_likes`, `recent_avg_replies`

### ⬇️ Input

| Field | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `usernames` | array | Usernames, @handles or profile links. One row per account |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "usernames": ["natgeo", "@nasa", "https://www.threads.com/@mosseri"]
}
```

### ⬆️ Output

A real row (picture link shortened):

```json
{
  "record_type": "profile",
  "id": "28829152388",
  "url": "https://www.threads.com/@nasa",
  "username": "nasa",
  "full_name": "NASA",
  "biography": "Making the seemingly impossible, possible. ✨",
  "followers": 12753599,
  "is_verified": true,
  "is_private": false,
  "bio_links": [],
  "profile_pic_url": "https://scontent-atl3-2.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.82787-19/669747085_1808...",
  "last_post_at": "2026-10-01T17:12:26+00:00",
  "recent_posts_sampled": 4,
  "recent_avg_likes": 2882.8,
  "recent_avg_replies": 74,
  "text": null,
  "posted_at": null,
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-02T20:45:35.720285+00:00"
}
```

`recent_posts_sampled` says how many of the newest posts the two averages are based on. Pinned posts are left out of the averages when newer posts exist. A run also writes a `SUMMARY` record with the accounts that were not found.

### 💰 How much does it cost?

You pay per saved profile, plus a tiny start fee per run.

| Apify plan | Price per 1,000 profiles |
|---|---|
| Free | $4.00 |
| Starter | $3.80 |
| Scale | $3.60 |
| Business and above | $3.40 |

Accounts that do not exist cost nothing. Set **Maximum cost per run** in the run options and the Actor stops saving at that amount.

### 💡 Use cases

- 🤝 **Influencer vetting:** compare followers with average likes and replies, and drop accounts that stopped posting months ago.
- 🎯 **Lead lists:** enrich a list of brands or creators with their bio links and verified status before outreach.
- 📈 **Follower tracking:** schedule a daily run over the same usernames and chart follower growth for you and your competitors.
- 🧹 **List cleaning:** find handles that no longer exist or went private before a campaign goes out.

### ❓ FAQ

**Do I need a Threads or Instagram account?** No. The Actor never logs in.

**Can I paste profile links instead of usernames?** Yes. `zuck`, `@zuck`, `threads.com/@zuck` and `https://www.threads.net/@zuck` all work. Entries that are not Threads usernames are skipped and named in the log.

**How fast is it?** One to two seconds per account. A run with 100 usernames takes about two to three minutes.

**Why are the averages empty for some accounts?** The account is private or has no posts on its profile page. `recent_posts_sampled` is 0 then.

**Is `followers` exact?** It is the number Threads shows on the profile at the time of the run.

**Does it return email addresses or phone numbers?** No. Threads does not show them on profiles. Links in the bio often lead to a website or link page that does.

**Can I get the account's posts too?** Use the [Threads User Posts Scraper](https://apify.com/benthepythondev/threads-user-posts-scraper) for the full post history, or the [Threads Scraper](https://apify.com/benthepythondev/threads-public-scraper) for posts, replies and profiles in one Actor.

**Is it legal to scrape Threads profiles?** The Actor reads only what Threads shows publicly to any visitor. Profiles are personal data, so GDPR, CCPA and similar rules apply to how you store and use them, and Meta's terms apply to you as well. If in doubt, ask a lawyer.

**Something is missing or broken?** Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab with the run ID. Issues are answered within one business day.
