## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Scraper: Products, Prices & Discounts

**Paste any Shopify store and get its whole product catalogue: prices, sale
discounts, stock, variants, vendors and when each product was added, plus a
one-row summary of the store. Ideal for competitor research, product sourcing
and price tracking. No API key, no login.**

***

### Who it is for

- **Resellers and dropshippers** checking what competitors sell and at what price
- **Brands** tracking rivals' launches, sales and stock
- **Market researchers** comparing stores across a niche
- **AI agents** that need clean product data from any Shopify shop

***

### What you get

#### A summary per store

| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| `store_name`, `store_url`, `store_country`, `currency` | The store, from its public Shopify profile |
| `products` | Products returned |
| `price_min`, `price_median`, `price_max` | Price range of the catalogue |
| `on_sale_share` | Share of products with a reduced price |
| `in_stock_share` | Share of products available to buy |
| `new_last_30_days` | Products added in the last 30 days |
| `top_product_types`, `top_vendors` | What the store mostly sells, and from which brands |
| `newest_products` | The 5 most recently added, with links |

`compare_at_price_max` (the "was" price), `on_sale`, `max_discount_pct`,
`available`, `variants`, `options` (e.g. Size, Colour), `image`, `created_at`,
`published_at`, `updated_at`.

***

### How to use it

1. Add **store addresses**: `allbirds.com`, `https://www.skims.com` or any link
   on the store all work.
2. Optional: a **keyword** to keep only matching products, **only products on
   sale**, and the number of **products per store**.
3. Click **Start**. Export as Excel, CSV or JSON, or connect to Google Sheets
   and other tools with Apify integrations.

```json
{
  "stores": ["allbirds.com", "skims.com"],
  "maxProductsPerStore": 250,
  "onlyOnSale": false
}
```

#### Run it on a schedule (optional)

Schedule a daily run of your competitors' stores to spot new launches, price
changes and sales the day they happen.

***

### Good to know

- Works with any store built on **Shopify**. Other sites are listed with a
  plain-English error and not charged.
- Data comes from each store's public Shopify product feed, the same
  information shoppers see.
- Some large stores slow down automated requests; the Actor waits and
  continues automatically.

### FAQ

**How do I know if a store uses Shopify?**
Just add it: if it isn't Shopify, the run says so and nothing is charged.

**Does it include sold counts or sales figures?**
No. Shopify doesn't publish those. You get prices, discounts, stock status and launch dates.

**Can I track price changes over time?**
Yes: schedule it daily and compare runs, or export to Google Sheets.
