## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever, Workday & Ashby Jobs Scraper

**ATS Jobs Scraper** pulls **live job postings straight from company career pages** on **Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio** and returns them in **one clean, unified schema**: title, department, location, remote/hybrid flag, employment type, **salary range** (where the company publishes it), posting date, apply link and the full description. Fast, pure-API, no browser, no login. **$0.90 per 1,000 jobs.**

### What can this ATS jobs scraper do?

- 🏢 **7 applicant tracking systems in one Actor**: Greenhouse, Lever (US + EU), Ashby, **Workday**, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio.
- 🔎 **Paste any career-page URL**, or just a company slug like `figma` and we auto-detect the ATS.
- 💰 **Salary ranges** from Greenhouse pay transparency, Ashby compensation, Lever and Recruitee salary fields.
- 🌍 **Filters**: keywords, excluded words, locations, **remote only** and **posted within N days**.
- 🧹 **Clean text descriptions** (HTML optional), newest jobs first, per-company and total caps.
- 🔔 Built for **scheduled job alerts**: run daily with `postedWithinDays: 1` and push new jobs to Slack, Sheets or your CRM.
- 🤖 Flat JSON input that works with the API, Zapier, Make, n8n and the **Apify MCP** server for AI agents.

### Why scrape jobs from the ATS directly?

Job boards such as Indeed or LinkedIn repost listings late, rewrite them and hide salaries. The company's own ATS is the **source of truth**: postings appear there first, stay accurate and include structured fields. Typical uses:

- **Recruiters and staffing agencies**: track who is hiring for which roles, in real time.
- **Sales teams**: hiring signals for prospecting ("company X just opened 12 data engineering roles").
- **Job boards and aggregators**: feed niche boards with fresh, de-duplicated postings.
- **Market and salary research**: compare pay ranges, remote policies and hiring velocity across companies.
- **Job seekers**: one alert across all your dream companies.

### How to use it

1. Add **company career pages** (URLs or slugs), one per line.
2. Optionally set **keywords**, **locations**, **remote only** or **posted within days**.
3. Set **Max jobs per company** (keep it small for a quick test).
4. Click **Start**, or call the Actor from the API and schedule it.

### Input example

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir",
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai",
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "figma"
  ],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["Remote", "London"],
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 50
}
```

Supported URL formats: `boards.greenhouse.io/<co>`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/<co>`, `jobs.lever.co/<co>`, `jobs.eu.lever.co/<co>`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<co>`, `<co>.wd1-12.myworkdayjobs.com/<site>`, `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/<co>`, `<co>.recruitee.com`, `<co>.jobs.personio.de`. Force an ATS with a prefix like `lever:palantir` or `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup`.

Empty input runs a small demo (Stripe, OpenAI and Palantir, 10 jobs each).

### Output example

```json
{
  "ats": "greenhouse",
  "company": "Figma",
  "companySlug": "figma",
  "jobId": "6221563004",
  "locations": ["US"],
  "country": null,
  "isRemote": null,
  "workplaceType": null,
  "employmentType": null,
  "seniority": null,
  "salaryMin": 235000,
  "salaryMax": 317000,
  "descriptionText": "Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-14T05:15:39.386Z"
}
```

Per-company results (ATS detected, jobs listed, jobs saved, errors) are saved to the `RUN_STATS` record.

### How much does it cost?

| | This Actor | Typical alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Per 1,000 jobs | **$0.90** | $1.50 to $4.00 |
| Actor start | $0.002 | up to $0.03 |
| ATS covered | **7 incl. Workday** | usually 1 to 6, often without Workday |
| Salary, remote flag, clean text | ✅ | varies |

You only pay for jobs returned. A company that can't be read costs nothing, and the **max cost per run** setting is respected exactly.

### Tips

- **Workday** needs the full career-site URL (open the company's careers page and copy the address, e.g. `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`).
- Turn off **Include description text** for the fastest, lightest runs.
- Schedule daily with `postedWithinDays: 1` for a new-jobs feed.

### FAQ

**Is it legal to scrape job postings?** This Actor only reads public job postings that companies publish through their ATS's public job-board APIs for exactly this kind of distribution. It collects no candidate or personal data. Always check your own use case and local rules.

**Why did a company return 0 jobs?** Either it currently has no open roles, your filters removed them, or it uses a different ATS. Check `RUN_STATS` and paste the exact career-page URL.

**Can I get jobs from Indeed or LinkedIn?** No. This Actor reads the original company postings, which are usually fresher and more complete.

**Do I need proxies?** No. All sources are public APIs. The proxy option is there only if your network blocks them.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Career-page URLs or company slugs. Supported: Greenhouse (boards.greenhouse.io/stripe), Lever (jobs.lever.co/palantir), Ashby (jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai), Workday (nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite), SmartRecruiters (jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup), Recruitee (bunq.recruitee.com) and Personio (company.jobs.personio.de). Plain slugs like "figma" are auto-detected. You can also force one with a prefix, e.g. "lever:palantir". Leave empty for a small demo.

## `ats` (type: `string`):

Which ATS to use for entries that are just a slug (not a URL). Auto-detect tries all public boards in parallel. Workday always needs the full career-site URL.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains ANY of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. "engineer", "data", "sales".

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains ANY of these strings, e.g. "London", "Germany", "Remote", "US".

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only remote jobs (uses the ATS remote flag / workplace type, falling back to "remote" in the location).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days. Great for daily job alerts on a schedule. 0 or empty = any date.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Clean plain-text job description. Turn off for faster, lighter runs (Workday and SmartRecruiters then skip one request per job).

## `includeDescriptionHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Also return the original HTML description.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Newest jobs first. Hard cap per company.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap for the whole run. You only pay for jobs returned.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed: all sources are public job-board APIs. Enable only if your network is blocked.
