## Pricing

$4.00 / 1,000 tender scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Government Tenders Scraper: UK Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, EU TED & SAM.gov

**Government Tenders Scraper** finds **new public sector tenders, bids and contract awards** from official procurement portals in one normalized dataset: **UK Contracts Finder, UK Find a Tender (FTS), EU TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) and US SAM.gov**. Filter by keyword, CPV code, publication date and open deadline, and run it daily in **only-new mode** to get **tender alerts** in email, Slack, Google Sheets or your CRM.

### What can this tender scraper do?

- 🏛️ **4 procurement portals, one schema**: title, buyer, country, value, currency, deadline, CPV codes, procedure, status, awarded supplier and link.
- 🔔 **Tender alerts**: *Only new tenders since last run* plus an Apify schedule gives you a daily bid-opportunity feed.
- 🎯 **Filters**: keywords, CPV codes, last N days or a start date, and only tenders still open.
- 🧾 **Contract awards**: track who won which public contracts and for how much.
- ⚡ **Official open data APIs** (OCDS feeds and the TED API), so it's fast and stable.
- 🔒 **No personal data**: buyer organisations only, contact persons are dropped.

### Who is it for?

- **Bid teams and consultancies** looking for public sector contracts in IT, construction, healthcare, facilities and more
- **B2G sales and lead generation**: find buyers and budgets
- **Market intelligence**: competitor contract awards and public spending trends
- **SMEs**: `suitableForSme` flags UK opportunities aimed at small businesses

### How to find government tenders

1. Choose **Sources** (UK Contracts Finder, UK Find a Tender, EU TED, SAM.gov).
2. Add **Keywords** and/or **CPV codes**.
3. Set **Published in the last N days**, and tick **Only tenders still open** if you only want live bids.
4. For alerts, enable **Only new tenders since last run** and add a daily schedule with an email or Slack integration.

  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-09T23:08:19.123Z"
}
```
### How much does it cost?
**$4 per 1,000 tenders** returned. Each run also has a $0.005 start fee (from October 25, 2026).
| Job | Approximate cost |
|---|---|
| Daily alert with ≈20 new matching tenders | about $0.08 per day, ≈$2.50 per month |
| One-off export of 2,000 notices | about $8 |
Set a **maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops at that limit.
### How to use the API (Python, JavaScript, cURL)
Every run is available through the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2). Get your API token in **Apify Console → Settings → API & Integrations**.
#### Python
```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient

client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("best_apis/government-tenders-scraper").call(run_input={"sources": ["uk-contracts-finder", "eu-ted"], "keywords": ["software"], "daysBack": 7})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```
#### JavaScript / Node.js
```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';

const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('best_apis/government-tenders-scraper').call({"sources": ["uk-contracts-finder", "eu-ted"], "keywords": ["software"], "daysBack": 7});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
```
#### cURL (run and get tenders in one request)
```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/best_apis~government-tenders-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"sources": ["uk-contracts-finder", "eu-ted"], "keywords": ["software"], "daysBack": 7}'
```
#### Integrations
Connect results to **Google Sheets, Slack, email, Zapier, Make, n8n, Airbyte, webhooks** or AI agents through the **Apify MCP server**. Use **Schedules** in Apify Console to run it hourly, daily or weekly. Export any dataset as **JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML**.
### FAQ
**How do I get alerts for new government tenders?** Enable **Only new tenders since last run**, schedule the Actor daily and connect an email, Slack or Google Sheets integration.
**What is a CPV code?** The Common Procurement Vocabulary classifies what a contract buys, for example `72000000` for IT services. Filter by CPV for precise results.
**Does it cover US federal contracts?** Yes, through SAM.gov (beta) with your own free SAM.gov API key.
**Are EU TED notices in English?** Titles come in English where TED provides them, otherwise in the original language.
**Is the data legal to use?** Yes. It is published by governments under open licences (UK Open Government Licence, EU reuse policy, US public domain). Check each portal's licence for attribution rules.
