## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Choisir le Service Public Scraper · No Login

Extract job postings from [Choisir le Service Public](https://choisirleservicepublic.gouv.fr), the French government's official civil service job board. No login, no browser, no API key: job title, employer, location, salary, requirements and the full description, read straight from the site's own public pages.

### What you can do with it

- **Search French civil service jobs by keyword.** `keywords` matches against the posting's own page, covering hospitals, universities, ministries, local authorities and public agencies.
- **Filter by region or city.** `location` narrows results to a French region or city.
- **Benchmark public-sector pay and requirements.** `salary`, `experienceRequired` and `educationRequired` are kept as their own fields whenever the posting discloses them.
- **Feed a job alert or aggregator.** A stable `id` and canonical `url` per posting for deduplication across runs.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `keywords` | Job title or skill, for example `infirmier`. Empty means every posting. |
| `location` | French region or city, for example `bretagne` or `caen`. Empty means every location. |
| `maxItems` | The run stops once this many postings are saved (default 50). |

Example input:

```json
{
  "keywords": "infirmier",
  "location": "",
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

### Output

One record per posting:

```json
{
  "id": "responsable-de-restauration-collective-reference-2026-2439578",
  "url": "https://choisirleservicepublic.gouv.fr/offre-emploi/responsable-de-restauration-collective-reference-2026-2439578/",
  "title": "Responsable de restauration collective",
  "employer": "Centre Hospitalier Louis Constant Fleming",
  "city": "Saint-Martin (978), France",
  "region": "COM",
  "industry": "Intervention technique et logistique",
  "salary": null,
  "experienceRequired": "Confirmé",
  "educationRequired": "Niveau 4 Baccalauréat",
  "datePosted": "2026-10-14",
  "description": "Définir, optimiser et contrôler l'organisation et la production des secteurs de restauration...."
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Why this one

- **No login, no browser, no API key.** The site's listing and posting pages are plain server-rendered HTML.
- **Full description, not a teaser.** The complete requirements, missions and schedule text, not a truncated preview.
- **Structured salary and requirements** kept as their own fields, not buried in free text, whenever the posting discloses them.

### Good to know

- `keywords` matches against the posting's own URL, which closely follows the posting's title: specific job titles work well, very generic single words may over- or under-match.
- Many public postings do not state a salary; `salary` is `null` when the site shows "Non renseigné" instead of an amount, nothing is guessed.
- The dataset contains job postings only. Any named contact's e-mail or phone number found in a posting's text is dropped from `description`.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with the French government or Choisir le Service Public. Check the site's terms and the data protection rules that apply to your use.

### FAQ

**Does it need a browser or a proxy?**\
No. The Actor reads the site's own pages directly.

**Does it work without `keywords`?**\
Yes. Leave it empty for a productive default run across the newest postings nationwide.

**Can I get the data in Excel or Google Sheets?**\
Yes. Export the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON from the Apify console, or connect the Apify Google Sheets integration.
