## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Travail Jobs Scraper · No Login

Extract job postings from [France Travail](https://www.francetravail.fr) (formerly Pôle emploi), the French government's official job board. No login, no browser, no API key: job title, employer, location, contract type and a real description, read straight from the site's own public listing pages.

### What you can do with it

- **Search France's official job board by profession.** `keywords` matches France Travail's own métier categories (for example "cuisinier" or "développeur").
- **Filter by département or region.** `location` narrows the search to a French département or region.
- **Cover many professions at once.** Leave both empty for a default run that rotates across a wide spread of métiers and départements nationwide.
- **Feed a job alert or aggregator.** A stable `id` and canonical `url` per posting for deduplication across runs.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `keywords` | Job title or profession, for example `cuisinier`. Empty means every métier. |
| `location` | French département or region name, for example `calvados`. Empty means every département. |
| `maxItems` | The run stops once this many postings are saved (default 50). |

Example input:

```json
{
  "keywords": "cuisinier",
  "location": "calvados",
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

### Output

One record per posting:

```json
{
  "id": "214TRVP",
  "url": "https://candidat.francetravail.fr/offres/recherche/detail/214TRVP",
  "title": "Courtier en énergie (H/F)",
  "companyName": "CALLIOPE RH",
  "departmentCode": "21",
  "city": "Chenôve",
  "metier": "courtier",
  "contractType": "CDI, Temps plein",
  "datePosted": "Publié il y a 9 jours",
  "description": "Mistertemp', recherche un Courtier en énergie H/F pour l'un de ses clients. Poste à pourvoir en CDI rapidement...."
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Why this one

- **No login, no browser, no API key.** France Travail's listing pages are plain server-rendered HTML; the official partner API requires an OAuth app registration, this Actor does not.
- **Covers the whole country by profession or département**, not a single city search box.
- **Structured fields**, not a single block of text to re-parse: département code, city and contract type come out already separated.

### Good to know

- France Travail's own keyword search (`motsCles=`) is blocked to crawlers by its `robots.txt`; this Actor reads the site's SEO listing pages (one per profession × département) instead, so `keywords` and `location` match France Travail's own category names, not free text.
- Each profession × département page lists around 20 postings and has no further pagination available to crawlers; broad coverage comes from rotating across many pages, not from paging one search deeper.
- `description` is the card's own preview text and may end with "..." when France Travail truncates it; the full detail panel on the site is filled in by a script this Actor does not run.
- The dataset contains job postings only. Any named contact's e-mail or phone number found in a posting's text is dropped from `description`.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with France Travail or the French government. Check the site's terms and the data protection rules that apply to your use.

### FAQ

**Does it need a browser or a proxy?**\
No. The Actor reads France Travail's own listing pages directly.

**Does it work without `keywords` or `location`?**\
Yes. Leave both empty for a productive default run spread across varied professions and départements.

**Can I get the data in Excel or Google Sheets?**\
Yes. Export the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON from the Apify console, or connect the Apify Google Sheets integration.
