## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Jobicy Scraper: Remote Jobs, No Login

Extract remote job postings from [Jobicy](https://jobicy.com) through its official public JSON API (thousands of active postings). No login, no browser, no API key: title, company, salary, industry, level and full description, read straight from the source.

### What you can do with it

- **Search remote jobs by location, industry or skill.** Any value Jobicy's own filters accept, for example `usa`, `marketing` or `python`.
- **Benchmark remote salaries.** `salaryMin`/`salaryMax` kept as numbers, with `salaryCurrency` and `salaryPeriod`, whenever a posting discloses them.
- **Cover a large volume in one run.** Cursor-based pagination follows Jobicy's own feed past its first page, up to `maxItems`.
- **Feed a job alert or aggregator.** A stable `id` and canonical `url` per posting for deduplication across runs.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `geo` | Keep only jobs matching this location, for example `usa`. Empty means every location. |
| `industry` | Keep only jobs matching this industry, for example `marketing`. Empty means every industry. |
| `tag` | Keep only jobs matching this skill or tag, for example `python`. Empty means no tag filter. |
| `maxItems` | The run stops once this many jobs are saved (default 100). |
| `includeDescriptions` | Adds the full job description as plain text. |

Example input:

```json
{
  "geo": "usa",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "includeDescriptions": true
}
```

### Output

One record per posting:

```json
{
  "id": 154248,
  "url": "https://jobicy.com/jobs/154248-principal-software-engineer-devops",
  "title": "Principal Software Engineer, DevOps",
  "companyName": "Legion",
  "companyLogo": "https://jobicy.com/data/server-nyc0409/galaxy/mercury/2025/06/99d2bb45-221-1.jpg",
  "industry": ["DevOps & Infrastructure"],
  "jobType": ["Full-Time"],
  "geo": "USA",
  "level": "Senior",
  "excerpt": "Principal Software Engineer, DevOps Remote, United States ABOUT POSITION: Are you passionate about automation, DevOps...",
  "salaryMin": null,
  "salaryMax": null,
  "salaryCurrency": null,
  "salaryPeriod": null,
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-14T02:35:19+00:00",
  "description": "Are you passionate about automation, DevOps, public cloud services, Kubernetes, and observability?..."
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Why this one

- **No login, no browser, no proxy.** Jobicy's own public API is the same documented feed it offers to third parties.
- **Cursor pagination handled for you**, so one run can walk thousands of postings past the first page.
- **Structured salary, not buried in free text.** `salaryMin`/`salaryMax`/`salaryCurrency`/`salaryPeriod` are numbers and codes whenever a posting discloses them.

### Good to know

- Jobicy's own `geo`/`industry`/`tag` filters are loose: an unmatched value is ignored rather than rejected, so check a few results against your filter before scaling up a run.
- Not every posting discloses a salary; `salaryMin`/`salaryMax` are `null` when that is the case, nothing is guessed.
- Every e-mail address and phone-like number found in `excerpt` or `description` is replaced by `[removed]`, including generic company contact addresses. The dataset carries no reachable contact information.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with Jobicy. Check the API's own terms (crediting Jobicy and linking applicants to the original job URL) and the data protection rules that apply to your use.

### FAQ

**Does it need a browser or a proxy?**\
No. The Actor reads Jobicy's own public JSON API directly.

**Does it work without any filter?**\
Yes, for a productive default run across the newest remote postings.

**Can I get the data in Excel or Google Sheets?**\
Yes. Export the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON from the Apify console, or connect the Apify Google Sheets integration.
