## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SeLoger Scraper: Agency Listings, No Login

Extract real estate agency listings from [SeLoger](https://www.seloger.com), one of France's leading property portals, and get clean structured data: price, surface, rooms, energy class, agency name and location — agencies and developers only, never a private seller.

### What you can do with it

- **Monitor an agency network's stock**: track what professional sellers are listing, by price, surface or energy class.
- **Feed a property-buying alert**: run it daily and get only new listings.
- **Benchmark prices per m²**: compare price and surface across agencies for the same area.
- **Build a property aggregator**: SeLoger has no public export for third parties; this Actor reads the same listings its own search page shows.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Transaction type | Buy (`achat`) or rent (`location`). |
| Property type | Apartment (`appartement`) or house (`maison`). |
| Locations | One or more `slug/placeId` values copied from the end of a seloger.com search URL, for example `paris-75/ad08fr31096` from `seloger.com/recherche/achat/appartement/paris-75/ad08fr31096`. Left empty, a small default set covering all of France is used. |
| Maximum number of listings | The run stops once this many listings are saved, across all locations combined (default 100). |

### Output

One record per listing:

```json
{
  "id": "2653RFX1E15S",
  "url": "https://www.seloger.com/annonce/achat/ile-de-france/paris-75/paris-75000/2653RFX1E15S",
  "title": "PARIS 19ÈME | GASTON TESSIER | STUDIO | 18,49 M² | 7ÈME ÉTAGE |",
  "price": 130000,
  "propertyType": "Appartement",
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Why this one

- **Agencies and developers only, by construction.** Every listing is checked against the site's own seller classification before it is saved; no private seller's name, phone or address is ever collected.
- **No login, no captcha-solving.** SeLoger's anti-bot defenses are handled with a real, stealth browser behind residential IPs; nothing about the site's defenses is bypassed by a fake account or solved challenge.

### Good to know

- SeLoger protects its pages with strong anti-bot defenses and client-side rendering: this Actor is slower and costs more per result than a simple HTML scraper, because every search needs a full residential-IP browser session, not just a plain HTTP request.
- `agencyName` and `agencySiret` are the agency's public trade name and French business registration number, required by law on professional listings. `agencyPhone` is the agency's own published contact line. An individual agent's number typed inline in the free-text description is removed.
- New-build programs (sold through a different site, selogerneuf.com) are left out: this Actor covers existing-property resale listings only.
- The site's own pagination endpoint is excluded from indexing by its robots.txt; to collect more than one page's worth of listings, provide several `locations` (cities, districts) rather than relying on a single very broad search.

### FAQ

**Does it collect private sellers' listings?**\
No. Only listings flagged as professional (agency or developer) by SeLoger itself are kept.

**Why is it more expensive than most real estate scrapers?**\
SeLoger requires a full browser session behind a residential IP for every search; this costs more per request than a typical site that works with a plain HTTP request.

**How do I find a location's `slug/placeId`?**\
Open a search on seloger.com for the area you want, and copy the last two path segments of the URL (for example `paris-75/ad08fr31096`).
