## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Studapart Student Housing Scraper (France)

Scrape student housing listings from [Studapart](https://www.studapart.com), city by city, and get clean structured data: studios, shared flats and student residences with monthly rent, deposit, surface, furnishing and availability dates.

### What you can do with it

- **Track student rents**: monthly rent, deposit and surface by city and district.
- **Monitor availability**: which units open up in the coming weeks, and for how long (minimum stay).
- **Map the supply**: residences and agencies that list in a given city, with their amenities.
- **Feed a housing comparison or alert tool**: run it daily and compare with the previous dataset.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cities | One or more French cities, for example `Paris`, `Lyon`, `Toulouse`. Paris, Lyon and Marseille cover all their districts. |
| Minimum / maximum monthly rent | Keeps only listings in the rent range (charges included). |
| Available within (days) | Keeps listings that can be rented within this many days. `0` returns every listing the site still shows. Default 90. |
| Maximum number of listings | The run stops once this many listings are saved. Default 50. |
| Include full descriptions | Adds the advertiser's description as plain text. |

### Output

One record per listing:

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Good to know

- `lessorType` is `owner`, `agency` or `residence`. Residences are businesses and are named (`residenceName`, `address`).
- Private landlords are never named, and their street address is not collected: you get the postal code, the city and an approximate position (about 100 m).
- E-mail addresses and phone numbers typed into descriptions are removed.
- For a shared flat, `monthlyRent` is the price of one room and `monthlyRentWholeAccommodation` the price of the whole flat.
- The site returns at most about 200 listings per search. To collect more, search several cities, narrow the rent range, or run it regularly.
- Cities are matched by name. An unknown name gives no result and a warning in the log.
- No browser and no proxy needed: runs are fast and cheap.
- The dataset contains housing listings only. No tenant or landlord personal data is collected.

# Actor input Schema
