## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Ticjob Scraper: Spain IT & Tech Job Postings

Scrape job postings from [Ticjob](https://ticjob.es), a Spanish job board specialized in IT and technology roles (SAP, development, cloud, infrastructure, project management), and get clean structured data: title, company, location, contract type, dates and full description.

### What you can do with it

- **Monitor the Spanish tech job market**: new postings by role, technology or province.
- **Feed a job alert or an aggregator**: run it daily and compare `id`s against your own copy to spot new postings.
- **Find staffing agencies and employers that are hiring**: which companies recruit for a given technology right now.
- **Track SAP and niche IT demand**: Ticjob leans heavily towards SAP consultants, developers and IT infrastructure roles rarely covered by generalist job boards.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Category | A Ticjob search category slug. Use `es` (default) for every live IT job in Spain, or a role/technology/province combination such as `java-madrid` or `consultor-sap-es`, copied from the site's own category pages. An unknown slug returns zero postings instead of an error. |
| Maximum number of postings | The run stops once this many postings are saved. |
| Include full descriptions | Adds the full job description as plain text. |

### Output

One record per posting:

```json
{
  "id": "70754",
  "url": "https://ticjob.es/esp/trabajo/creative-graphic-visual-designer-hibrido/70754",
  "title": "Creative / Graphic & Visual Designer (Híbrido)",
  "companyName": "Grupo Digital",
  "companyId": "3097",
  "city": "Comunidad Valenciana",
  "region": "Comunidad Valenciana",
  "employmentType": "FULL_TIME",
  "datePosted": "2026-10-16",
  "validThrough": "2026-12-15",
  "description": "…"
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Good to know

- Results are in Spanish, the site's default language, and cover the whole of Spain.
- Ticjob does not publish structured salary data on its postings.
- A sizeable share of current postings on this niche board comes from a handful of IT staffing agencies that post many roles at once: this reflects the site's real content, not a filtering issue.
- No browser and no proxy needed: a plain HTTP request reads every page, so runs are fast and cheap.
- The dataset contains job postings only. Company names and recruiting agencies are public business information; no candidate or recruiter personal data (name, phone, e-mail) is collected.

### Why this one

- **Works around a real quirk in the source.** Ticjob's own JobPosting structured data contains unescaped line breaks that make it invalid JSON; this actor repairs it instead of falling back to a fragile HTML scrape, so descriptions stay complete and reliable.
- **Lets you target the site's own categories.** Any role, technology or province slug Ticjob itself publishes works as an input, with no need to reverse-engineer a search form.
- **Pay only for what you get.** Priced per result, with no monthly rental and platform usage included.

# Actor input Schema

## `category` (type: `string`):

A Ticjob search category slug. Use "es" for every live IT job in Spain, or a role/technology/province combination such as "java-madrid" or "consultor-sap-es" (copy one from the site's own category pages). An unknown slug simply returns zero postings.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run stops once this many postings are saved.

## `includeDescriptions` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description as plain text.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "category": "es",
  "maxItems": 50,
  "includeDescriptions": true
}
```

## `postings` (type: `string`):

No description

});

// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "category": "es"
};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("bibian/ticjob-jobs-scraper").call(input);
