## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 product listings

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Woolworths Australia Scraper

Scrape grocery products from [Woolworths Australia](https://www.woolworths.com.au) and get clean structured data: name, brand, department, category, price, unit (cup) price and special offers.

### What you can do with it

- **Track grocery prices**: compare `price` and `cupString` across brands and categories to see what a litre of milk or a kilo of biscuits actually costs.
- **Find specials**: set `onSpecialOnly` to keep only products that carry a previous ("was") price, with the exact `savingsAmount`.
- **Watch a brand's range**: set `brand` to list every product Woolworths carries under a given label, with its current price and stock status.
- **Search by keyword**: set `query` to match products by name, for example "chocolate biscuits" or "olive oil".

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search text | Text matched against the product name (accents and case ignored). Empty means no filter. |
| Brand | Keep only this brand. Case is ignored. |
| On special only | Keep only products that show a previous ("was") price. |
| In stock only | Keep only products the site marks as available. |
| Maximum number of products | The run stops once this many products are saved. |

### Output

One record per product:

```json
{
  "sku": "904881",
  "url": "https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/904881/arnott-s-timtams-inspired-by-jatz",
  "barcode": "9310072034942",
  "name": "Arnott's TimTams Inspired By Jatz 165g",
  "category": "BISCUITS",
  "subCategory": "BISCUITS - SWEET",
  "packageSize": "165g",
  "currency": "AUD",
  "price": 3,
  "onSpecial": true,
  "wasPrice": 6,
  "savingsAmount": 3,
  "cupPrice": 1.82,
  "inStock": true,
  "imageUrl": "https://cdn0.woolworths.media/content/wowproductimages/large/904881.jpg"
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Good to know

- Products are discovered through Woolworths' own product sitemap (over 100,000 products across three shards), opened in the order the site lists them.
- `wasPrice` and `savingsAmount` are empty for products that are not currently discounted. `onSpecial` is `true` only when a previous price is shown.
- `cupPrice` / `cupString` are Woolworths' own per-unit comparison price (for example per 100 g or per litre); no conversion is applied.
- No login or browser is needed: product pages are read directly, with an automatic retry through a datacenter proxy on the rare request the site blocks.
- A handful of sitemap entries are discontinued products still indexed by the site: `inStock` is `false` and `price` / `cupPrice` are `0` for those. Set `inStockOnly` to skip them.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with Woolworths. Check the site terms that apply to your use.

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

Text to match against the product name, for example "chocolate biscuits". Accents and case are ignored. Leave empty for no filter.

## `brand` (type: `string`):

Keep only this brand, for example "Arnott's". Case is ignored.

## `onSpecialOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only products that show a previous ("was") price.

## `inStockOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only products the site marks as available.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

The run stops once this many products are saved.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs. Skip the results that an earlier run of this same search already delivered, so each run returns, and charges, only what is new. The memory is kept in the key-value store "only-new-memory-bibian" of your account.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "onSpecialOnly": false,
  "inStockOnly": false,
  "maxItems": 50,
  "onlyNew": false
}
