## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper · Any Career Site

Extract job postings from any company career site hosted on Workday (`*.myworkdayjobs.com`): title, locations, employment type, posting date, requisition ID and full description, read straight from the same search API the career site itself uses. No login, no browser.

### What you can do with it

- **Monitor any employer on Workday.** Point it at a career site URL (for example `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`) and get every open posting that matches your keywords.
- **Track several employers at once.** Pass a list of career site URLs and get one combined, deduplicated dataset.
- **Build a hiring-trend feed.** Schedule a daily run and watch `postedAt` and requisition counts move over time for a given employer.
- **Feed a job board or alert.** Workday has no public export for third parties; this Actor reads the same postings its own career site search shows.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `careerSites` | One or more Workday career site URLs, for example `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`. Leave empty to run a default set of large employers (Adobe, KLA, Pfizer, NVIDIA). |
| `keywords` | Search text applied on every career site, for example `software engineer`. Empty means every posting. |
| `maxItems` | The run stops once this many postings are saved, across all career sites combined (default 100). |
| `includeDescriptions` | Fetch each posting's own page for the full description, precise locations and posting date (default on; one extra request per posting). |

Example input:

```json
{
  "careerSites": ["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"],
  "keywords": "software engineer",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "includeDescriptions": true
}
```

### Output

One record per posting:

```json
{
  "id": "adobe:external_experienced:/job/Mexico-City/Sr-Technical-Account-Manager_R171924",
  "company": "adobe",
  "site": "external_experienced",
  "title": "Sr. Technical Account Manager",
  "location": "Mexico City",
  "additionalLocations": [],
  "employmentType": "Full time",
  "postedOnText": "Posted 4 Days Ago",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-06",
  "jobReqId": "R171924",
  "url": "https://adobe.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/external_experienced/job/Mexico-City/Sr-Technical-Account-Manager_R171924",
  "description": "The Opportunity\nAs a Technical Account Manager, you will serve as the primary technical advisor..."
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

### Why this one

- **Works on any Workday career site, not just one employer.** Give it any `*.myworkdayjobs.com` URL and it adapts; most competing Actors are built for a single named company.
- **No browser, no login.** Workday's own career-site search API is read directly, so runs are fast and cheap.
- **robots.txt checked per career site before every run**, so an employer that later restricts its career site is skipped with a warning instead of being scraped anyway.

### Good to know

- Each career site's own `robots.txt` is read first; a site whose rules disallow crawling is skipped with a warning rather than failing the whole run.
- `location` and `employmentType` are only as precise as Workday's own listing until a posting's detail page is read (`includeDescriptions: true`), which also supplies `additionalLocations` and the exact `postedAt` date.
- Lines that carry a recruiting mailbox (for example an accommodation-request address) are removed from descriptions; no individual recruiter's name or direct contact is ever collected.
- A posting that disappears between the search and the detail fetch (filled or withdrawn) keeps its listing-level data instead of being dropped.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with Workday, Inc. or any employer listed. Check the site terms that apply to your use.

### FAQ

**Does it work for any company, or only the ones in the default list?**
Any company that hosts its career site on Workday. Paste its career site URL into `careerSites`.

**How do I find a company's career site URL?**
Open the company's own "Careers" page; if it redirects to a `*.myworkdayjobs.com` address, that address (or the page you land on) is what `careerSites` expects.

**Does it need a browser or a proxy?**
No. Workday's own search API answers plain JSON requests, so runs are fast and cheap.
